Stop comparing this game to EVE online. EVE online is a Point, Click, Move game. To some people that is fun.... To me it is not it. That's my opinion. Also, stop saying this game copyed EVE when Jumpgate Classic came out a looonnggg time ago.

Actually, EVE is too slow, buggy and gay for most normal people to enjoy.

It is, as Yahtzee would say, a game for boring, deluded nerds with annoying attitude, who are nerds to nerds, what nerds are to normal people.

It's not hardcore, its not hard (frustrating is not the same as hard or skill intensive) and certainly not fun for 98 percent of space sim / shooter gamers.

I play eve...thus my name... These games are to different things. I like eve depth but some times I just want some good action. ( long boring fleets with super lag is not fun). This game looks fun. ITs not ment to replace eve but open Space combat MMO`s to the masses. Eve online IS just to tough for most people to enjoy. This is not Call of duty in space. This Game is ment to satisfy people that want to be in large space battles like in star wars and stuff, not to satisfy the Role players.

so from what I understand, jumpgate is cod:modern warfare in space but you pay a monthly fee for it, and EVE is a space fleet warfare simulator where everyone plays on the same server with a real living economy where you're not even safe even in highsec space and it's like the wild west, gotcha

IT's being compared to EVE, because it's like the respone to the people that log into EVE and say "This game are so hard, why cant I understand it? OMGZ someone just pwnt me. Ok this looks a lot like EVE.. it's the dock that did it for me, I only played eve for a day but I remember that dock style, it looks very similar

mm yeah that's a great part of this game, but I do like warp drives that make you go incredibly fast in one solid direction, that's why I liked EVE as well when I played it.. the warping around :D this just looks like it has a "sprint" mode where you hold shift or something stupid.. and the boosters go constantly, yet you only get to a certain speed. then once you let go, some mystery mass slows you down again when in space you'd keep going forever

what I want is this flying mode combined with eve's warp engines and stuff. the effects used in that are freaking great.

I gotta say from seeing the Solarin and Octavian dry dock the Octavian looks a lot more....human I would say. The Solarin dock is overly slick that it seems almost alien.

They get the dates from the publishers, usually a rough estimate. Being able to preorder games allows them to guess how many games need to be available at launch, while it IS about money, it's not all gamestop.

The open pvp part is very important for this game!

This game is Wow in space and nothing more. it has a linear universe where players are herded into one region from another based on their "level". PvP only happens in instanced areas separate from the rest of the game world. The only thing this game has going for it is that you can control your ship via a joystick, keyboard and mouse, etc... big deal. EVE has a lot more going for it then some of you folks realize. Hey though if you like a amusement park type MMO in space then this is your game.
