  • it´s a great movie!

  • how can a book and movie full of lies be so popular shame on you khaled for making our country look bad and bring fake stuff in your book to sell your books

  • This book was phenomenal. Very powerful and moving. I haven't seen the movie. Is it worth seeing? I know sometimes movies don't stay true to the book...

  • @thatasiankid93 Yes the book was stunning.. so vivid and engaging! and I think you would love the movie too!! It's great!

  • I really am not a fan of the book :/ But the movie looks pretty good so I might have to watch it sometime.

  • Reading this in my English class...imo one of the best books I've read, up there with 1984 and The Giver

  • Best book EVER! Its sooo sad!!

  • They WERE brothers -_-

  • I love this book so much! I cried like every chapter! It got sad, sadder, saddest, then happy, sad, sadder, holy shit what is this?, kinda happy at the end. A beautiful (and frankly scary) look into the eyes of Amir and how he became good again.

  • I loved the book and watched the movie. The person who played Hassan was really great... though everybody was great in this one! A really great book that has been turned into a very good movie!

Like the book states at the beginning: There is a way to be good again :-) Excellent!

  • Just finished this book in class; handsdown, best book I've read.

  • i burst into tears in the middle of class reading this book.

  • just go this book in my english class. :P

  • As close as brothers.....

  • OMG! I cried so much while reading the book!

  • I just read the book a second time and it wasn't the war that drove them apart, it was Amir's great sin that did. Did anyone see the movie? Do they cut out the sexual assault in the beginning?

  • @JHulse29 No, they didn't cut it.

The boy who assaulted him, his name was Assef not Amir.

  • @AiniShafi But he's reffering to Amir's sin, the sin of him watching Hassan get sexually assaulted but not doing anything about it. Im guessing you didn't read the book

  • @RandomAccount360 Oh okay, sorry I thought he was talking about Assef.

  • reading this book for my year 12 english class right now and only just finished chapter 10 one of the most sadest books ive read since chinese cindrella!!

  • I read this two weeks back. I did cry. And this trailer omits the most important part of the separation between Amir and Hassan- the emotional one after what happened in that alley.

  • Im 17 and read this in high school, although i did not cry because im not a vagina.

  • @RandomAccount360 you are dick!

  • @RandomAccount360 haha well put

  • @RandomAccount360 That is cause you are a dick! :)

  • This is the best book I've ever read...And this is coming from an avid Harry Potter fan.

    <3

  • احمد الشقيري يعطيك العافية

  • 17 guy in high school, and we're going to read this for English. I'm so excited, and I suspect I'll cry.

  • Just finished reading this for English....I'm so glad it was assigned. I know this video doesn't get much traffic since it's old, but for anyone reading this, the books are beyond amazing. I am an 18 year old male Senior in high school, and I cried twice. Ten thumbs up.

  • This gives away everything.

  • Read this for english class. watching movie in class woo x3

  • LOOOOOOOOOOL

  • PENIS PENIS PENIS PENIS PENIS

TROLL OL OL OL OL OL OL OL OL OL

  • "I dream that my son will grow up to be a good person, a free person, I dream that someday you will return to revisit the land of our childhood, I dream that flowers will bloom in the streets again, and kites will fly in the skies"-

  • ‎'Better to get hurt by the truth than comforted with a lie.'

  • If this movie is even nearly as good as the book, it's worth watching.

  • I read this book today... I can't remember when I've cries as much as when I was reading it. Maybe the best book I've ever read... Or ever will read. I have to see this movie. Khaled Hosseini is really genious. "A Thousand Splendid Suns" is amazing too.

  • I cried from just watching the trailer.. ugh i love this book so much.

  • Love the book so much....I can't wait to see the movie.....

  • Just read the part where he meets Rahim Khan again... IN TEARS LITERALLY!

  • I just finished reading the book! I loved it omg, i cried in many scenes:( ah one of the best books !

  • for you, a thousand times over.

  • FKING MOVIE# TRAILER< FKING RUINED HALF THE STORYLINE

  • Last year i had to read this book for English, I didn't like reading books at the time, but instead I decided to read the book and I couldn't stop reading it and stop crying.

I will say this that this was my favorite book that I've read in my life

  • I'm being forced to read the book for English... I just can't. I'm at the part where Ali and Hassan read and could not stop crying. I literally cannot continue reading this because it's so sad :(

  • @marzipin i feel u. i stopped reading it after that part for a while. but i started reading it again because of my unstoppable curiosity. u should try to continue.

  • I love this book <333

I even did my social studies fair project on it, and it went all the way to state :D

  • Hassan!!!!!

  • Fuck I hate the taliban I will not rest until every last taliban swine is exterminated. They execute their own people and instill fear in the locals, they are cowards and pigs

  • is film is so emotional, it's a beautiful construction and so moving. it will stay in my heart forever. ♥

  • "For you, a thousand cocks up your ass"

  • @xXTrueSShotX not funny idiot

  • @ajtiger1995

Oh, thank you. :) That's my favourite name.

  • Comment removed

  • im half way through the book and i stupidl watched the trailer!!! i didnt know that was going to happen to hassan :|

  • I just finished a thousand splendid suns. I don't know which book was better, but I do know that Khaled Hosseini NEEDS to write another AMAZING book. :)

  • hassan's my favourite character :'( this book is the best book i've ever read.

  • i want to kill assef.. and hassan youre the best ! :')

  • I wonder who plays assef.... *shutters*

  • I dunno why some people hate the movie. It's a great movie actually. The movie may be a little different from the book. Makes me wonder if people would hate the book if this movie had came out first before the book. And just another thought, if this is such a bad movie, why did this movie get to be nominated by the Oscars and BAFTA?

  • @boyfling1 it was only nominated for best original score

  • Taliban are homophobic they hate gays and music not the opposite

  • I don't know if I dare to read the book. I always cry rivers when I watch the film or even just the trailer.

  • I just finished the book, it was excellent!, but judging by this trailer, I've just seen the whole movie right here

  • Great Film. Read the book tho too, it's fantastic!!

  • poor hassan, and coward amir

  • FUCK THE RUSSIANS!

  • @ingosnow25 kid.

  • @ingosnow25 Russian is PIGS!!!

  • the movie was great, the book was greater.

  • For you a thousand times over -3

An amazing book but the movie does not do it justice

  • Unreal film, but the trailer is basically 'Kite Runner' in 1 minute 50

  • I just finished the book 10 minutes ago, and it was incredible. Watching this trailer was so different, still looks good though, and I still teared up. But I recommend everyone to read the book. Insanely good.

  • this is legitimately one of the best books i've ever read in my life. if you refuse to watch this movie, at least read the book. it's worth your time.

  • @dabuldabul Really Beautiful. I've cried while reading the book. Of Hassan, of Amir even for his Baba.

  • Cried for Hassan, Pashtun society have always been coward towards the poor hazara minority society

  • "Hey, do you want to watch this movie named 'The Kite Runner' with me"? "For you, a thousand times over." :)

One of my favorite books EVER!! Movie was good too.

  • It's all about grace and forgiveness

  • In all seriousness, read the book it is one of the best books I have ever read.

  • Iraq and Libya will turn like this next.

  • Instead of the taliban being the enemy in this movie, they should've replaced them with western foreign western invading forces such as the US, UK etc.

  • @1Explosivez1 You sir, know nothing about middle eastern history.

  • @jokawild55 LOL I'm not even going to bother.

  • "There is a way to be good again."

One of the best books that I have ever read.

  • i have a project on school about this book but i dont want to read it do im waching the movie here on youtube

  • @hernaldo14 YOU SUCK!

  • Im reading the book now and all I can see right now is honestly, FUCK YOU AMIR

  • @alexbutlerful hahaaa, im reading the book as well and feel kinda the same :P

  • @alexbutlerful he became good again

  • I have just finished reading the book and thought I should check out the trailer... It looks absolutely amazing and everything in this trailer stays true to the book, even the way the characters look. I hope the movie is as good as I hope it will be!

  • @BlueForever249 u have to watch it :) its really amazing. its one of the rare movies which touched me so deeply.

  • well

    i recomend to u

    thats watching movie

and not waste ur mind like this nonsense comment

thats say movie is not good and novel is much goos

    trust me

    watching movie

    well

    take care

  • oh

this is a realy great and heart touching movie

one of my favorite movie too

  • the actor of baba is exactly what i imagined him to look like LOL

  • This book is a modern classic. i haven't seen the whole film but certain details from the book have been captured very well. For instance, Hassan turning his head from side to side while running. I hope more such moments are captured in the movie especially, Hassan's innocence.

Love this book and love Khaled Hosseini. <3

  • @belovedrebel88 Read the book, don't watch the movie.

  • I havent read the book... or seen the movie... my best friend told me to read it before watching it...what do you guys recommend?

  • FML i regret watching the trailer without finishing the book. Way to ruin the whole book because of this. I did not cry whatsoever, the trailer is just so wrong, why would they spoil Hassan's death. I thought he was the best character, not Amir. Amir sucks! he's gayer than any character in the book. Just sayin'. =/

  • 21 people have blue eyes and blonde hair.

  • @nmann15 And what is wrong with that?

  • @SassyCristiano7 If you read the book, which I'm guessing you have, you should know that Assef is blonde and has blue eyes.

  • @nmann15 I'm not gonna lie, but that was a bad joke :/

  • why does it go to the part when hes grown up so early in the trailer. That's like near the end of the movie... they need to include parts from when they are children. And this trailer doesnt reflect the true meaning behind this movie.

  • NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I am currently reading the book, this trailer is a spoiler! hassan died? wtf?!?!?

  • Anybody know the song or songs that play in the trailer?

  • i didn't like the movie. The acting seemed primitive and did not capture the personalities of the characters at all...

  • The books better always is.

  • @TheScreamChild the book always better?

    i dont agree

id rather watch porn than read the karma sutra

  • @abijkdefm Thats different, im not talking about erotic pleasure novels. Its pretty much your own movie in your mind. Im sure the movie is good, but the book is better because it more of a experience you know? Plus movies tend to leave out ALOT of scenes and parts that really give the story character in the book.

  • @TheScreamChild yeah i was only joking, i know ecatly what you mean :/

  • @pachelbelscanon81 bahahahaha oh shit

  • I jist read the book its so sad but it includes a lot of realy deep stuff tht pribably wasnt i. The movie

  • "I dream that someday you will revisit the land of our childhood, I dream that flowers will bloom in the streets again....and kites will fly in the skies"

    ALWAYS takes my breath away!!!!

  • trying to find the second trailer song, help?

  • @yeeshoelaceX dick, i was gonna read HP soon

  • legally you cant rape the same sex, hassan wasnt raped technically..

  • The book is two thousand times better than the movie. I read the book first, and when I saw the movie it was such a disappointment to me.

  • @starsoverthere I hate people when they are overreacting, your comment is so exaggerated, i wonder how did you visualized the story when you were reading the book. you are disappointed because you did not see a unicorn in this film. period!

  • @pachelbelscanon81 Except it's true. The book is always more in depth than the movie because it can be. The book has more meaning. Movie's often change things which looks like they definitely have for this one. Kite Runner is an amazing book, and it's not unusual that this person would find it a disappointment. In movies you don't get to really hear the character. I'm just saying that they are not necessarily exaggerating. Sometimes it's just the truth.

  • @pachelbelscanon81 someone didnt read the book... :p

  • I always cry everytime I watch this movie :(

  • I cried just by watching this.

  • @yeeshoelaceX whaaa, snape dies?

  • if they ever do a movie for A Thousand Splendid Suns, it better be as good as this.

  • tbh the movie was not that great . the book was much much better .

  • "For you, a thousand times over."

  • @Bellatrix1844

I love your user name. :)

  • Don't one of them get raped

  • @demidon117

    Yes, indeed.

  • @yeeshoelaceX I had about 150 pages left in the book and had just read that part. So as soon as I saw them mention it, I immediatly closed out the window and finished the book. Stunning how they just give it all away in the trailer like this.

  • Wtf ! I was reading this book ! Dammit it gave it away for me ! Now what's the whole point in reading the book ! ?

    Fxck !

    :-/

    It's still a good book tho. . .

Not only that, but I had a feeling Hassan was gonna die tho. . I just felt it

    Well. . . -_-

  • this makes me crie, also cried when i was reading the book

  • Anyone know the name of the song, when little Sohrab dances in front of Assef and Amir ? Thank you.

  • Guys i wish to see this movie but in it are there alot of horiffic killing or torture?

  • @maxcor3 only those that are a reality in this world. you shouldn't shield yourself from what is happening now. it's time to expose yourself to this broken world.

  • Just finished ejaculating

  • @eric365jc on your mother? nice

  • ok so im doing a report on this book...CAN ANYONE TELL ME if the movie is a good source to do a report on instead and get away with it?

  • @brackman64 there is one important part in the book that is not mentioned in the movie. everything else is spot on though. so if you can get information when *SPOILER* sohrab tries to kill himself then yes you could probably get away with it

  • @brackman64 there is one important part in the book that is not mentioned in the movie. everything else is spot on though. so if you can get information when *SPOILER* sohrab tries to kill himself then yes you could probably get away with it

  • What an amazing book! I cried soo much :( The movie doesn't do justice to the book tho :/

  • Reading it for my English Lit A level, I genuinely almost cried with what happened to Hassan... :(

  • i love this movie

i have alredy watch it 3 times

    hlove it gret & wise

    من أروع افلآمي

  • just finished watching the movie, the ending was beautiful

  • Thank you for posting this preview. I am a big fan of Khaled Hosseini, and I have a few comments. How can that be Amir? He looks just like Hassan! I thought there was supposed to be a difference. Also, it looks like Assef is so scrawny and stupid. His character intimidated me so much in the book, and that guy looks like a little pipsqueak.

  • nyc book and nyc movie loved it.....

  • I LOVED THE BOOK!

  • i need to read the book for this but i can't get into it.. does anyone think it might help by watching the film first?

  • @esscookbabes yes! :) I read only like 6 chapters (so far too haha) and it was good, but slow so it's hard to get into. so i watched the movie so i'd know what to expect. try it!

  • @esscookbabes: It is very slow... I am at p. 164 and I still find it relatively slow although there are chapters where it went quickly.. others didn't but I enjoy the symbolism the author puts

  • How close is the movie to the book?

  • @NewScapePro They cut A LOT out of it, and they change some minor things. I recommend you read the book. It changes your life.

  • @NewScapePro

The movie eliminates many symbols and scenes that were important to the plot of the movie. \it has much less detail than the book. I liked the movie but prefer the book.

  • "From the director of 'Finding Nemo' and 'Monsters, Inc...'"

    1:19

  • @Fuffuloo YES! hahaha i thought i was the only one who thought of that

  • I read the book. Unforgettable. This has to be my second favorite book right after The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I would love to watch the movie even if it's probably missing some parts.

  • im glad i didnt watch the tralier first, was the most unpredictable amazing movie ever

  • Just as good is Afghan Hearts and Minds by Shafie Ayar, which is a true story.

  • For you, A thousand times over <3

  • this movie is bullshit, filled with lies and dumb stereotypes that contradict themselves.

  • LOL Taleban sex slave is a boy

  • @jerrycrus LOL??? You think this is funny?!? A sex slave, regardless of his gender, is not something to be laughed at.

  • @MrFoxyFox4Me

    im sorry

  • @jerrycrus It's okay. I just don't find male rape victims funny, and I feel like I'm in the minority on this subject, so I'm a bit touchy on this matter anyway. Plus, this is Hassan's son we're talking about, meaning what's left of Hassan, and Hassan was this precious little sweetheart, so for all that bad stuff happen to him was horrible.

  • AMAZING MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!

  • I AM VERY REGRET READING THE BOOK AND WATCH THE MOVIE !

OH NO .. THIS IS TOO SAD FOR ME EVEN I'M A MAN. WHY DO I KNOW A VERY SAD STORY LIKE THIS ?

  • I just started reading the book, I'm on page 50. I know i'm a gangta..

Is this a true story ?
