  • George Burns was cool and thanks to VHS/DVD, always will be.

  • I choked from laughter

  • Keep going your getting close! xD

  • LMAO! She beat the hell outta them with that purse.

  • Dean is drunk as fuck in this.

  • @donkeylongstockings omg i know!!!!

  • Oururrrr neggst gueesssst, the epitome off ffffemmninninity....

  • Brilliant Roast as usual but I suspect that compared to most of the Roasts, Mr Jimmy Stewart got off lightly - he was too nice and too well respected to be subjected to the usual 'humiliation'!! as George Burns referenced

Compared to Mr's Hope, Martin, Sinatra and Sammy he got off lightly, with the humour coming from all the others having a go at each other to brilliant effect.

Quite right too, the guy was a gent and a giant in the acting world

Still funny to this day tho :-)

    .

  • The Ruth Buzzi bit was awesome. Great exchange. And you know Deano nailed her after the show in the dressing room.

  • ...thats what you call smart comedy.....

  • the Ruth and Dean fight was DELICIOUS!!! HAHAHHAHAHA

  • @orawal That is the absolute perfect way to describe it, DELICIOUS! Thanks for watching!

  • I’m 22 and wish Comedians could be this funny today. I have not laughed that hard in a while.

  • I LOVE GEROGE BURNS!!!!! IMA MARRY HIM SOMEDAY!!! LOL

  • Ruth Buzzi is hilarious!

  • just pure awesome

  • thats just funny stuff

  • Don Rickles and Dean Martin were 2 of the very few on this series who were truly FUNNY, ie vs just rattling off punchlines...and not to be forgotten were Ruth Buzzi's cameos too. All 3 literally made me laugh out loud consistently. Absolutely classic stuff!

  • @joeyy2000 I agree, but I'd also like to add Foster Brooks, every time he came on I would die laughing as a kid watching it!

Later on I found out he was a tea totaler! LOL!

  • HAHA dean is great! who is that lady? it seemed to me like jimmy was very seriously trying to calm her down..but he's good at acting serious so i dunno..cuz i dont' know who SHE is lol.

  • @mjdisneydork That is Ruth Buzzi.

  • The lady here is Ruth Buzzi, former Laugh In star and comedienne. One of the most versatile comediennes ever.

  • George Burns, a man who was a self-contained era of comedy and entertainment. George was living proof that laughing long and hard would keep you young forever

  • Humor with intelligence, how sadly it's missed. Ruth Buzzi, so wonderful and undeservedly forgotten.

  • the good ole' days of real humor

  • Come on people tis was dirty as dirtu can be. But oh so clean. That was and is the difference with the comdemy of today. They forget where they came from. This was brilliant.,

  • that was the best

  • This is what comedy is. All the greats seem to be gone now. I've traded my t.v. for you tube so my favorites can always been seen.

  • This room of celebritys is rare. Back then talent won them recognition not rehab.

Thank you for helping me remember what true talent is.

  • Ahh George Burns voice is AMAZING.

  • keep going your geting close

  • Isn't nostalgia great!..This was a hoot!!

  • Give it to the greatest, funniest mofos in the world, the jews! over every generation, the funniest comics and writers EVER!

  • nah just cause they own the media

  • 7:25, perfect.

  • ROTFL!

  • It was always cool staying up and watching these at night. My parents didn't like it until they actually watched one and they laughed so much we didn't miss them after that. Ruth Buzzi was so funny.

  • LOL!

  • LOL!!!!!

  • aahhhh comedy today is tar. these guys where gods.

  • Ruth Buzzi is unique. And that's probably just as well, too... She was my favourite on Laugh-In with Arte Johnson, I think it was, as the dirty old man. I laugh every time I see a park bench.

  • I love Dean's Laugh at 7:57 Hilarious!

  • I was born in 1989... damnit. Look at the shitty comedians I get to watch on TV...

  • man, do i ever know how you feel!

  • @mcmeister89 I hear that man

  • I love the skits with Ruth Buzzi and Dean Martin!! LOL!! They're great together.

  • Who would want to insult the one and only Jimmy Stewart? He's perfect. Jimmy is so lovable. A beautiful man. My favorite forever.

  • OMgoodnesss who is the person who laughs at 4:44 !!??

  • I think its Lucille Ball but im not sure. I still cant figure it out. Hilarious though!!

  • really?? lucille ball? she sounds like that? hahaha

  • Extremely hilarious! Haha. Isn't it LaWanda Page?? I thought it was her laughing.

  • You know every time I hear that laugh, I burst into a fit of giggles and I still dont know who it is that is laughing. I should upload the clip with Lucy cuz her voice does sound deeper in her later years.

  • The laughing voice is either Lucy or Lawanda Page I can't tell, but it cracks me up too lol.

  • @marilynmortician I think so too!!

  • I always thought it was LaWanda Page.

  • That sounds like Lawanda Page

  • I think i peed my pants! lol

  • Oh holy cow! That was great! I love the way Ruth Buzzi keeps you laughing stitches! She's great! Now, I don't recall ever watching Laugh-In but, this by far is great!

Thank you and have a very Merry Christmas! :)

  • jimmy stewart was such a sweet guy.

  • "You take your pom poms and you throw them over your shoulder!"

"I'll believe that when I see it!"

  • Heeheehee. Oh, Dino...

  • I love when Ruth sits on Jimmy's knee! His reations are hilarious.

Dean's remarks to Ruth are hilarious too.

  • haha i think jimmy took her beatings serious that was so funny.

  • This is a riot!
