@Dollynguyenmusic it's possible if you can handsew really securely... since it's gonna be really tight... the seems are most likely to rip if it's not sewed well... that's why i recommand a sewing machine with this...
awesome,I have a suggestion: perhaps safety pins might be better because the other pin may poke when taking the pants off. anywhow, please post more diys, I love to see them!
do u know how to do the hips? i have reacent gone down in waight and my pants are getting to big. and since theyr really old i can be a little creative with them to. ^^
@xsmilef0ryo0x I don't think you HAVE to, but sewing denim by hand is kind of difficult, so it would take a while. Just use double strands and sew securely!
wooahh!!its been a while since you've posted a DIY hihihi...it was nice seeing you again here...is it possible if i dont have to use a sweing machine..coz i don't have one...take care..^_^
@thamara2009 thank you :) it's possible, but you have to sew really neat and securely... hand sew is less steady than machine sew... i still recommend to finish it off with a sewing machine... ^^
if you sew them from the inside of the legs, it's virtually impossible to tell that you altered it. sometimes if you sew them from the outside, you get some puckering or it doesn't look like the seam that it had when it was manufactured.. and wow.. you did that by hand..
can we do this with dresspants?

@megasweetbubbles01 if the material isn't stretchy, i wouldn't make it too tight... you don't want to accidentally burst out of those pants...

Wow this is so helpful! My skinny jeans are super worn out and have become quite a bit baggy.
Wonder what kind of stitch should we sew?
stephkys 1 year ago
@stephkys i just used a straight stitch... and used a zig zag stitch to stop the cutted fabric from fraying...

Did you really hand sew the whole pair of pants? I'm impressed! It took me long enough with a machine!

ive got a question, why only stretchy denim?
aishahok 1 year ago
@aishahok i think cuz stretch denim has give to them and if u do them a little too tight in areas it wont break the seam where non stretch might bust
