What is the big deal, if facts are not accurate, just explain the real facts and then everyone will know and learn. My grandparents are from calumet and I never heard of this event. Please, if you have facts, explain them and put them on record, not piss one another off
@Kbear586 THEY ARE NOT INACCURATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I say very clearly in the video there are claims the theater is haunted. I say the bodies were brought to the theater. I have stated over and over on this page that the disaster happened at the Italian Hall around the corner, which is torn down. None of that is inaccurate so please...move on. Go write another book and pat yourself on the back.
kbear, chill out. Please. I can only go by what we were told before we took the self guided tour. We were told by the people operating the theater that the bodies were brought to the large hall room in the theater. There are signs up proclaiming that as well. Why is it important to get the "facts" correct? This is an obscure tragedy most people don't even know about. I am not spreading malicious lies about someone. For God's sake get life.
Please read my amended description of this video. I am SO tired of people coming to this home family vacation video and berating me for not understanding the history of this tiny town and that tragedy.. I didn't make this to chronicle the tragedy and give people a thorough accounting of it. I can only go by what we were told by the staff, if you take issue with that then go speak to them and ask them why they are telling people that the bodies were brought to the ballroom/hall of the theater
@schreiber37 Calm down witcho caps, spazoid. I never said they tore down this building. I said they tore down the building that the tragedy occured in.
haha, I'e performed in this theatre many times, so I've been everywhere, backstage, in the dressing rooms, and in the ballroom, so ive had my fair share of haunted incedents
Great to see the grand lady again!...I performed there in 1984 with Sing Out Kalamazoo..when we were on a tour...sponserd by first of america banks....wow a great experience!....and we also had some strange problems with equipment...
I now am the founder and lead investigator of a paranormal group we are planning on comming up next summer?...see you there!..lol

Um excuse me, moron, but the theater is said to be haunted. The lady who gives the tours explained to us that a paranormal research society had been there in June and did find paranormal activity. YOU are the one who needs to learn your history: the bodies were brought from the Hall to the theater and were laid out in the ballroom OR the county offices for identification, hence WHY the theater us haunted. Now piss off.
OMG!!!!!!!!LEARN YOUR HISTORY. The calumet Theater is NOT Haunted. the children that died on chistmas eve during the mineing strike died in the Itallian hall. Located on Seventh Stree. one street over, you must not be from around here .go to the mining museum in calumet they have picturs. The only thing left of the hall is a brick doorway. you sound like an idiot.
actually you sound like an idiot not knowing a single thing about the calumet theater because you only talk about the Italian hall and you must not know of hte events that had happened besides that that had happened in that building why they call it haunted so you too can catch up on your hiistory
