Richard 4677- You took the words right out of my mouth. The crap we are subjected to today wil never, ever equal the timelessness of this music. Thank you Little Miss Lounge- I love this!!!.
This represents the TRUE chill music! After the so-called chill music of today fades away, the classy lounge music of the past will remain as fresh as ever! Morricone! Jobim! Mancini! Many others like them...timeless music.

This is the kind of song you need when you are in love and just feel elated that something so woderful is hapening to you. You can go skipping down the street without a care in the world.
The first part sounds like "Teach Me Tonight" (now you say I've got a lot to learn) ... then there's more of that George Shearing thing going on. Makes me want to mix a cocktail.
@kikddabottle: As our friend swt32567 below so beautifully stated, this is indeed from 1965, the Carroll Baker film "Harlow". Mothra sez Happy New Year!
This is the arrangement that Joanie Sommers sang Girl Talk to in the movie Harlow in 1965. What a song, what an arrangement, what an arranger Billy May & what a great era to be alive. The Sixties !
@swt32567 Indeed! —But, hey —Billy's an arranger for all eras —Let us not forget his inaugural sojourn into the world of Frank —One of the greatest Sinatra albums ever —1957's "Come Fly With Me"...
@tigreadroit Yes this version of Girl Talk was arranged by Billy May. Neal Hefti is the originator of the song. I'll take Hefti or May. They were both great.
@monchiqueman: Mothra agrees with your love of this silky version of the old Julie London chestnut. (Google her) BUT, this is a masterpiece of arranging (which is what made Billy May famous) and the fragile, loving touch he gives to the conducting. Watta guy! . Anyway, Mothra sends big love to you and our mutual buddy, LittleMissLounge, the princess of vintage RCA!

Billy May was one of the very best in big band arranging, and always had a solid
band. Sinatra liked him, for the "Come Fly With Me" album was great not only for
Sinatra, it also was great because of Billy May.

Billy May as arranger?
Are you sure?
Hefti was himself a "genius" one and he did greats jobs with the Count Basie Band.
