  • I love both. No need to hate on my creation. To each their own.

  • @RScar311~ haha... ye i cant handle any rotary engine.... because they're ALL such power monsters!.... shut up u tool.

  • @RScar311~ clearly u dont know much about engines!.... this is evident by your "9k rpm" comment. I dont have to take anyones word for anything.... i actually understand the thermo-fluid and mechanical dynamics of an internal combustion engine!

The shitty wankel has higher brake-specific-fuel-consumption than a piston engine with the same output power, and its all top end.... they cant make any decent low end torque. They're junk compared to piston. So shut up already!

  • god that sounds sick as hell

  • People who try to talk trash about how you shouldn't do LSx swaps are plain and simple in denial....there is really no other explanation

  • I believe you would use the F-body oil pan

  • THE SHOP

  • V8 swaps in this car are nothing but tasteful. Anybody who says otherwise is a hopeless magic triangles nutswinger...

  • @DeathMetalKillsEmos lol... "magic triangles..."

  • sounds mean..

  • another wrecked rx7 u should have stayed with the rotary motor with the sequential turbo

  • @jslaliberte1

What is your justification for sticking with the stock sequential setup? Just cause that's how it originally was?

  • @jslaliberte1

"Wrecked"? If you can't appreciate the pairing of a great V8 in this great chassis, you're more of a fanboy than an enthusiast.

  • @jslaliberte1~ LS2 is much smarter than shitty rotary!

  • Another custom made corvette what year is this corvette

  • NICE SWAP!!

I heard the ls2 are a headache to drop in compared to an ls1.. something to do with having to modify the oil pan? And truth?

And now the grand question..... how much in parts did you spend?

i juss bought an FD a couple months ago. Very happy. Going to start collecting parts for my LsX swap soon. any tips?

  • Its not that I don't know how to build them. I just love this swap. I love rotaries too. This is my second FD and they were both rotaries until I decided I wanted this swap. I personally don't think it's ruined. Sorry its not your cup of tea though :) The 50/50 isn't ruined. Do me a favor and just take about 30 minutes to read up on the benefits of this swap. Then we can discuss this in an unbias manner. Cheers.

  • Sweet, you involved with BAR?..I would love to see your RX in person...

  • Another RX7 Wrecked by a V8. Why dont people understand an RX7 is designed around the Rotary being mounted well back to give a perfect 50/50 weight transfer. Go on now say the usual..... rotaries go wrong, dont produce the power yeah yeah heard it all before. You just don't know how to build them

  • The LS series has a power band that the rotary engine will never be able to match. That alone is far more important then a few extra lbs up front. The 50/50 can be retained by moving a few things and not having the associated turbo hardware saves weight so the swap is not as big a weight gain as you might think.

Doesn't sound like you've ever driven one of these, or perhaps any track on a proper track, which is really the only time you'd ever even notice if the weight balance was slightly off...

  • you can build it but it isn't going to last long ls2's can be built and last lunch after lunch my dad has a cast iron 427 with over 200,000miles on it and it's been pushing over 630hp for 80,000 of those miles
