5 Stars !!! English translation... Halleluia, halleluia Halleluia, my Savior You are my God, I am your servant Halleluia my heart forever My love, my God, my Guardian, my Rock My fair Love, my Lord My Love, my Christ, my Love, my Heart My love in full, You, my glorious King Chorus) My love __, holy in your court My love, your heart and your fair appearance My love, your flock, long is your path My Love, my Light, my Strength, my King
@kenochie thanks be to God that it is still being sung by the present Irish generation. Traditional hymns such as this are our priceless heritage and should be preserved for generations to come. There are a few Irish hymns and tunes in our hymnal but I have not come across this one yet. Maybe it is time that we petition it to be added into our hymnal.
@brandenburg2388 we should do that!!! Ireland has some of the best music on Earth along with some of the best musicians and I think it's about time both were recognised as such!! I only discovered Irish music after my family left Ireland but whenever I here it I feel the call of the land of my fathers and it plays on my heart strings, wish I could bring us home!
@brandenburg2388 A pity Irish heritage is being...erased. after all, the doctrine of multiculturalism dictates that other cultures supersede your culture.
@Aresolar690 what a pity indeed, mo chara. To see a uniquely rich culture that took well over 2 thousand years to developed, is being erased over these last few decades. Will Irish traditional music, folksongs and language fade away into oblivion, I really don't know but it is not too late to do something about it. We can multi this and that on other things but not on culture.
@brandenburg2388 Everything must be done to save something so beautiful. I think a civilization does best when it unites behind a single true culture. It will never die though, there will always be people to protect tradition and heritage.
The first time I heard this song I was so moved that I wept. Aoile sings from her heart and soul, and she sings like an angel, which is a cliche but in her case is true.
The song by itself is very lovely, but of course, recognizing Allelu, THEN reading the translation the 2nd time playing adds to the worship... thanks for a moment of blessing in a crazy day!

It's Celtic and there are not many that can translate. I do love these old hymns, but I don't understand them much either. I'm from Texas and we have enough trouble with English;-)
@normansoftexas this is funny....lol Since English is becoming a problem in Texas, what of trying some Spanish? Then you can do the "Spanienlgish" thing...lol

Very beautiful performance!
'tis too bad that you are wasting your talent on an imaginary friend though. But you are young, so there is plenty of time to find out about such things.
Why do you feel the need to pollute this post with your views? While you are of course free to have them, why do you feel the need to hurt others? Does a simple song of praise disturb you that much?
I love the worshipfulness of this song. Christ is truly worthy of our praise, and the author of this song knew that.

Such melodious singing. I can imagine this is how the early Irish Christians sang during worship.

Great song and voice! Verses are very smilar to those of the Psalms... So to say - very biblical and liturgical...

It almost sounds like "go h-úird" is a form of "go h-ard" -- but I could be wrong; anyone else help? It kind of makes sense, considering the context
