Besides, this isn't meant to be an absolute and all-encompassing list. I only based it off of my own opinion, meaning that I just put in the bands I like the most.

I for one enjoy all styles of Metal. Yes, I even listen to Nu Metal. But my more favorite styles in random order are Symphonic Black Metal (Dimmu Borgir), Viking Death Metal (Unleashed), Industrial Death Metal (Fear Factory), Thrash Metal (Slayer), and Epic Metal (Epica). I honestly have not found a Metal band I don't like, because I love listening to everything Metal has to offer. Thanks for making this list, I found some new bands to listen to now, especially Arkona and Tyr! Korpiklaani rules!

There's something funny about Korpiklaani. I usually detest the more growlish singers, but I really like Korpiklaani. Nice list, you introduced me to some really awesome bands :D

Not a bad list at all! Would prefer Turisas among the top 3 though, but every man (or in your case, girl) has his own taste. You should listen too Equilibrium - Unbesiegt and Alestorm - Keelhauled if your a big fan of folkmetal! Those band really turned my head from black/death- metal and more towards folkmetal.
