  • I agree, The 1100 and the vulcan 800's are fantastic bikes. Thank goodness there are a ton of them out there in the used market for us lucky dogs to grab at killer prices. Thanks, Lance

  • I agree on the gators, pipes and all. We think you should do up one of our 1100's and show us your stuff. If you have been doing bikes all that time you could start a trend for all the guys looking to do cool things. Give it some thought? Thanks so much , Lance at blue collar bobbers

  • Yam should still offer the VStar 1100s. Those machines can only go up in value since many VStar 1100s are exported to other countries -- including Japan (at least they are around NE Ohio). The same goes for Kaw's Vulcan 800 series. Kaw should have just upped the displacement (from 800 to 1200) and stayed with the same engine styling and frame styling.

  • Even if a builder decides to lengthen the forks, never -- never -- use "slugs" (screw-in extensions)! I'd recommend no rake and staying below 6 inches overstock.

  • Good product line. I've been customizing/chopping bikes since the 1960s -- when you had to fabricate your parts. There was also no internet or catalogs back then. If I were building a Star bobber, I'd run fork "gators," "high-low" pipes and cocktail shaker/bell-tip mufflers (from Paugcho) and Flanders #2 bars. Ride safe.

  • Hi, The 950 is pretty new. We will do kits for it in the near future. Thanks so much, Lance at blue collar bobbers

  • Nice stuff but I checked your site and noticed that you don't have any kits or parts for the V-Star 950. Why is that?

  • Yes you need to cut the rear fender supports. It's easy and the dvd shows how it's done.

Thanks, Lance at blue collar bobbers

  • do you have to cut the subframe to install the rear fender?

  • nice rides!

  • Thanks for the nice words and advice on the video's. I have a friend that will help on future films. I'm an old fart and the high tech stuff isn't my strong point. I love bending metal and machining parts! Thanks again, Lance at blue collar bobbers

  • Nice bike and video.

You should check out deinterlacing options when editing your video. It will get rid of the visible horizontal lines that are apparent when you pan the camera quickly. Most video editing programs I know of have filters or ways to handle this.

  • Awesome. I'm intending on doing the same to my 2002 Honda Shadow. Hopefully I can tweak one of the kits.

  • @yourpolice Hey you do have Shadow kits now! Wicked.

  • Thanks so much, Lance

  • nice : ]

  • We are working on a video that shows all our bikes being ridden. We hope to have it available soon. Thanks so much, Lance at blue collar bobbers

  • Let's hear it run! You guys rock!

  • We run all kind of exhaust. These are Roadburners. We also run Cobra and Vance and Hines. Most of the bikes have carbs. The c50's and Vulcan 900's have EFI. We are finishing the m50 and it has EFI. Thanks so much , Lance at blue collar bobbers

  • What sort of exhaust/pipes do you run on these bikes? Also are most of your bikes carbi or EFI?

  • Hi, If you go to our website you can see lots of bikes in the gallery's. You can also see all the parts up close in the kits section. Thanks so much, Lance at blue collar bobbers

  • Frustrating not to see the parts close up and and different angles, especially the seat pan. Holding off on buying just because site and these videos don't show me exactly what I'm getting!

The music loop gets on the nerves! Love bobber products, so keep them coming, but make better use of YouTube to shoe the parts themselves under good lighting, then lastly on the build, or cut to the build and bakc to the parts.

  • I have a Vstar 1100 classic . Will your seat kit fit with stock fender? Im not ready to take the fenders off yet... Thanks.

  • Very nice bike. I'd love if you give a motor/exhaust sound check in your videos. By the way, are you planning any kits for Johnny Pag (bobber/spyder/pro-street)?

  • I am a small time bobber builder and I have bought a few items from Blue Collar Bobbers and I must say that they are the best people to buy from. Super nice and their product is top notch. ButterFaceBikeShop approves Blue Collar Bobber products.
