@Ilikeroots yes, but the bishop would be trapped with b6, and the queen would be tied down to protect it... you get the point, doubtful it would be worth it.

If he continued with 15...Bf2 it would've only won a pawn and went into the endgame like this, 15...Bxf2+ 16 Kxf2 Qc5+ 17 Qd4 Qxd4+ 18 Nxd4 Nxd5 and play could continue 19 Nxf5 Nxf4 with a pawn up otherwise if White retreats the dark-squared bishop with 19 Bg3 then probably 19...Be4 with a pawn up but that would've just thrown away the iniative and awesome win KC had.

brilliant game, KC!! for some reason I was thinking 26....Bh6 and found myself almost yelling it at the screen, then realized your moveRxe2 was MUCH better because Bh6 allows Qc4 and he maybe has a chance.

anyways, love your videos KC and I personally think if you didn't purposefully play such an attractive, attacking style (sacing pawns, etc) you'd be 2500 on ICC.

Just watched this video again... I'm watching KC play as other guys watch football lol. I am very excited about the next vids. Will KC be able to keep his composure and play solidly? Or will his new peak-rating influence him and cause 'steam'? If it were me I would play some games on chesscube or some other site, before re-entering the 'serious' battle for rating points on the ICC.

somehow I too feel that KC should be awarded something for his contribution to youtube chess. Sadly (or perhaps it is reasonable enough...) they don't award titles for internet blitz, so I've joined his excellent site instead. That is whatever little support I can give. Turned out to be a cool site btw, although my sensei Mikhail Tal would not agree lol, as he said: "I drink, I gamble, I chase women... But postal (correspondence) chess is a vice that I do not have!"

Good job! Extremely exciting to watch. Thinking about it. He seems to be a master of tactics. but your solid strategic positional play trumped. Nice job! That's the pitfall of always playing tactically, & never strategically, He always had a tactical move to attempt to get the "upper hand" on you, but never had time in his tactical game for a strategical move.... castle for king safety.

You don't get the IM title by playing on the ICC. Kingscrusher would have to earn that over the board in classical chess and then it would be recognized by the ICC. It doesn't really matter though. Kingscrusher is capable of beating almost anyone in Blitz it seems! Well done Tryfon. It was great to hear the enthusiasm with which you realized your all time high on auto-pairings. That was fantastic!

congrats kingscrusher - nice game. I checked your game with rybka and you are ahead almost from start to finish. Rybka makes one nice suggestion in particular that I did not see. Move 20: Rfe8 rather than Ne3. And it gives the following continuation: 21: Qd1 Nb2, 22:Qd2 Bb4. In this position white cannot move the c-pawn because you would take and then mate in one if the white queen takes. Super game!
