I adore both HM and AP since i saw them on TBS at age 12 back in 93 with Vampire Hunter D, Rock and Rule, and Robot Carnival as they were all love at first sight. My fave 80's animated movies are Akira, Grave of the Fireflies, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (Warriors of the Wind), My Neighbor Totoro, American Pop, Heavy Metal, Starchaser, American Tail, Castle in The Sky, Fire and Ice, Transformers The Movie, and others.
Wonderful movie..brings alot of great memories back..I remember watching this movie as a kid hoping to see it again..now I have..thank you for sharing.
The pianist at 2:18 is director Ralph Bakshi in cameo.
I love it when Zalmie insists he and Bella "want the kid", after that shady fellow asks if that's what he wants or the girl "fixed" before tossing them a roll of bills to marry with.
1:18 i'm totally bringing that hand shake back, starting now!

You know the guy who plays Palumbo Ben Frommer plays Count Bloodcount from the Bugs Bunny cartoon "Transylvania 6-5000"

That's the difference between the 1930's and the 2000's.
In the 1930's, if you received a package you don't remember ordering, you're a victim of mob bombing.
In the 2000's. if you received a package you don't remember ordering, you're a victim of identity theft.
