  • Lol got removed again. Come on whats the deal.

  • Y does my comment keep getting removed.

  • This guy would destroy an mma fighter without even trying

  • This guy would destroy a MMA fighter without even trying

  • wing chun alway win boxer because wing chun can penis kick

  • i respect sifu wan kam leung...hope someday he will put up wing chun school here in philippines

  • Jon Abdey in Reading is his UK representative if people are interested in this style.

  • Fast forward 25 years and the twin that box'd will have joint and back issues. Maybe possible retardation from being hit in the head 1000's of times . While the twin that did the WC will have possibly mastered the system including the " weird stance" he had so much trouble with in the first month. So what's your point?

  • Take twin brothers...train one in boxing for a month and the other in wing chun for a month. Then they fight. Boxer will win. While the WC student is studying that wierd stance for a whole month...the boxer has hit the heavy bag 1000 times...and the mitss 1000 times.

  • @gorfjorf2112112 How about a 60 year old boxer versus a 60 year old WC practitioner? Like the guy in this vid? I'm pretty sure boxers become pretty ineffective when they're at that age compared to the WC guy.

  • looks good, but has this guy been tested in a free fight situation? against professional wrestlers, boxers, karate/judo men or just punks from the street?

  • @kwangAPORIA wrestling has good strategy against stand up fighting styles. it's hard for wing chun, karate, boxer or any such stylist to spar with a wrestler. i know he's done some duels against other schools of martial arts in hong kong to represent wing chun, but his teacher wong shun leung was legendary for having never been lost a fight in over 100 such challenge fights. those includes against boxers and all sorts of styles, probably not against a wrestler though.

  • @DonMega187 Well, stand up fighters just need to learn how to sprawl well, and that should negate the advantage of the wrestler.

  • if this man and Lo Man Kam had a chi sao we would discover a new way to method of atomic fusion that doesnt require a nuke.

  • this guy's gettin his ass kicked real bad.

wan kam leung ftw, chinese culture ftw.

Wing Chun and Ip man FTW!

  • i would love to start wing chun. but to me, it doesnt look like it would be affective in a real life situation. i just get the feeling its good for demonstrations and for use against other wc artists. any1 agree?

  • @ThePtno1 No!

  • @ThePtno1 ,mate, you didn't get it from the video, one thumb punch from the master, you are on the ground. don't know why you don't agree its practical. I am training under my Sifu who is student of The master in the video.

  • @ThePtno1 Depends who you study with tbh, good luck :)

  • @ThePtno1 your wrong. It is very effective. It is economy of movement that svaes energy. its not flashy like other martial arts and isnt competition based but it is effective. The straight/centre line theory and strong structure make a well trained wing chun practioner formiddable.

  • @ThePtno1 Ive used wing chun in fights and it works when done right. Also the best hit ive ever landed on someone gave them a blackeye for a month delivered from a centered wing chun stance. Ive used karate back in the day to far less effect I got tired fast trying to kick a guy in the head after 3 misses he got me good in the eye with a jab. Wing Chun is made for the street just got to give it time and effort.

  • @ThePtno1 Try it and decide for yourself.....

  • @ThePtno1 I've seen a lot of different Wing Chun and some of it really sucks. This doesn't. WKL's Wing Chun is quite distinctive and different to the Ip Chun style. Both of these are effective. In the UK, Alan Gibson and Kevin Chan teach first class Wing Chun of each school respectively. If you go to a class, just see whether what is being taught and what's said about it makes sense to you. Wing Chun is very direct and practical - when it looks mystical and fancy, it's usually bad. Good luck.

  • @pokeround What lineage is Kevin Chan and Alan Gibson? Just out of curiosity.

  • @ThePtno1 Jon Abdey in Reading is his UK representative if people are interested in this style.

  • That was really awesome! :D

  • Sifu Wan Kam Leung and Sifu Gary Lam are my favourite to watch!

  • whenever people see one of Sifu Wan Kam Leung's videos they should understand why it is called "practical wing chun". Just amazing.

  • Very, very nice. 1:40 made me ROFL....have a seat!

  • what would the wing chun practitioner do against a BJJ opponent intent & able to get him/her on the ground? Imagine by some fluke Sifu Wan Kam Leung got on the ground somehow.... are there wing chun contingencies against the Gracie Jui Jitsu moves?

  • I have made my own wooden dummy and can train 4/8 hours a day most times if necessary but still do Chow Gar also.

I have learn' t nearly all my first form now and am wondering when i can start to learn the different elements of the chi sau ?

  • Be careful of getting ahead of yourself. If you practice on the dummy without the proper foundations of SLT and Chum Kiu, or even Biu Jee, then you will most likely end up cultivating incorrect habits in regards of posture, micro and macro positioning in relation to your opponent - not to mention improper energy absorption/emission skills. IF this be the case, then you will end up doing Karate with Wing Chun shapes...which is next to useless. Best of luck in your studies.

  • @matreyia

    interesting comment!

(I know you were replying to someone else but it's given me something to think related to my training too, so thanks!)

  • Looks and feels as real as when i 1st saw it.

As walk my 11th year in the art , i feel his truth all-though we come from different schools.

The true art ( just like good music ) is instantly recognizable and liberates us from any guilt.

    Greetings .

  • terrific

  • great demo

  • aaw man, watch at 2:19 pak and check and heel kick to the back of the head!! man love howe sifu wan includes kicks his wing chun.. there are so many wing chun practitisioners that limit themselfes by neglecting to practice good kicking as well as hand skills. man sifu wan is truly a master that proves his skills are as a practical as they are beautiful. great wing chun.

  • @kickmasta damn, i can't even kick that high and i bet he's 3 times my age

  • @nznz05 and wing chun isn't even about high kicks lol. most kicks are delivered mid-low height

  • The guy is great. I went to his Uk demo and sadly he talked through 90% of it. Whilst I was engrossed in his theories, I would have loved to have done more practical wing chun, or got a few slaps off the guy (there's nothing so refreshing as being made to feel like a beginner!). I hope this guy is around for a long time - he has a lot to teach the world

  • We will see a return hopefully soon in the Uk of Wan Sifu but unfortunately our great wankers i mean bankers has made the majority all broke!! so when things get better i sure sifu would love to come to the UK! Yeah!

  • Great Sifu!

  • Sifu Wan is an extraordinary man. While his technique is simply uncanny, his power from his Chi (which is not really shown in the video) has to be felt to be understood. The power in Sifu's strikes can be damaging to the point of being extremely dangerous. Those who have trained with this man understand what I am saying. Above all, Sifu Wan is extremely generous to those who train with him.

  • Interesting point PatternsofWinning. I would love to train with him. Im hoping hes going to visit the UK again on one of his tours? I notice in his teachings he emphasises softness. Perhaps this is key to his dangerous power?

  • what he means by softness is sorta like the tai chi concept of not meeting strength with strength,

but rather using the opponent's strength against them?

  • Comment removed

  • yes. I can imagine the power , looking at the reaction of the other guy!

  • Chi is myth. What you feel is excellent technique or your credulity.

  • or go to germany to find Juergen Harlander! or in france where you can find ivan, denmark u got martin...

  • or Sifu Benno Westra in Amsterdam

  • Sifu Wan, is one the best Wing Chun instructor in Hong Kong, his teaching emphasizes on practical use, and he and his sifu (passed away in 97) both oftenly practicipated in various bare hand fight with many different style fighters.

  • THIS GUY IS INCREIBLE

  • Awesome!

  • good!!!

  • The song is called "tai chi master"

  • does anyone know the music for this video?

  • whats the song for this video?

  • Does somebody know where I can find the music in this video? Or the title of it?

  • I've been looking for a master of this caliber for a long time. WOW. Great form, authentic, and economic use of form. Great stuff!

  • @bknives. he speaks next to no english, but teaches by demonstration. as to his teaching style and learnig from him, ha! find out for yourself.

  • this man provides my favorite wing chun clips so far. thanks Sifu Leung- i am in awe.

  • More then a Sifu....a true master.

  • It's a pitty that not too many people pay attention to a good Wing Chun clip. I guess what they say about good kung fu is true...

When it's effective it doesnt look good enough 4 camera .Wake up you guys it's all here !

  • thanks for show videos about this real master of the ving tsung

  • great video!! he's the best!!

  • I am so proud of my Sifu

  • Fantastic clip, looks very similar to Wong Shun Leung himself, you can see his lineage. What is like learning from him personally? How do you find his teaching style? Does he speak english?

  • In Europe? Track down Sifu Benno Westra in Amsterdam.

  • Or in the UK Sifu Ross Sargeant in Cambridge

  • Haha, who's this? Ross is the man.

  • under a new name now I train at the Southampton branch

  • man you guys are freaking me out , strange to come on youtube and find comments from people you probably know, I'm one of Ross's assistant instructors

  • nice, another wkl vid.. keep em comming.
