I used to hate the Red Wings. I am still a true Avalanche fan, but I have really come to like the Wings (except for that goon Bertuzzi). You guys had it all that year (2002). Bowman leading Yzerman, Hull, Robitaille, Chelios, Lidstrom, Hasek, Fedorov, and even Datsyuk! This is so similar to the 2001 Avs club. If my Avs don't make it this year (I'm guessing they won't), I'll be pulling for the Wings to come out of the West. They are a great team.
Fuck man Stevie Y = Classyness. He could run entire school on how to be classy. Steve Yzerman the perfect human being? I know Lids has the honor of being called that, but I'm sure he'll credit Stevie for showing him the way. The Redwing's way....
While I'm not a Detroit fan, I love watching this entire game because this team really was one of the best teams of the last two decades in all of sports. Secondly, I really admire the Detroit fans for cheering on Carolina for a good playoff run--you don't see that too often if ever.

I am so proud to be a life long fan of Detroit and seeing this brought back beautiful memories and even a tear to my eye.

after a heart breaker for me in 99, Hasek finally finally gets to raise the cup! My all time favorite player! I cried like a baby.
