Super Knuckles exists in Sonic 2,and sonic and knuckles, and sonic 3 and knuckles. games only. Hyper Knuckles is obtained in sonic 3 and knuckles only after collecting the chaos AND super emeralds. unlike Super Knuckles, Hyper Knuckles gains after images ala Hyper sonic, and when he glides into walls at full speed, the screen shakes and kills all normal enemies onscreen

He always treats the new guys as a struggle at FIRST. But he's defeated Metal Sonic after Metal became the strongest character, and he's even done it alone too
