one of the greatest songs ever recorded and my top 3 list, how does 1 person come up with all this music. eric , elton, and a few others have more top 10 songs than anyone of these so called kings of rock ,and pop.
@CeciSWEC mostly by George Harrison, he helped Clapton write it for a Cream album....even Ringo had a line or 2 in there...Clapton was trying to read the paper upside down, from across the table, where Harrison had marked the bridge, the flanger sounding part and thought it said Badge, hence the name
Best version of Badge ever! The bridge in the middle I always play when I'm getting ready to do a set or tuning up... We already cover "Layla" but this would be a cool cover song to do...
I have this concert DVD, and even this post has great stereo separation! I use this song and performance of Eric to setup my home sound systems. This is just good stuff and even better mixing. Kudos to the sound guys!
Doesn't matter what version of this song I hear,I always get into a cold sweat because it was the first Cream song I ever owned back in 1967 :) I love the instrumental bit before the second verse :)
This is how drums should be played! Amazing. Such groove, taste, emotion...not to mention the increasingly complex fills in the outro that build the intensity.
you are such a stupid asshole for telling that, if you know nothing about something, its better to keep your mouth shut. Clapton has written awesome and respectable songs, use a search engine to find them all. He has covered famous songs too, in order to keep their spirit alive to the world, which you actually cant see.
hurr, see how big my epeen is as I curse on the internet. I am so cool I'm ice motherFUCKING cold. That makes me FUCKING right and you a clown, totally ignorant about music! CLEARLY I AM RIGHT BECAUSE I AM AGGRESSIVE INSTEAD OF WELL ARGUED.
What makes you think that he's such an amazing songwriter? You make me sound bad for not being well argued, but what point have you made about Eric Clapton? You didn't mention his name once.
Of course I didn't. I don't think he's a particularly excellent songwriter (though I do enjoy the songs he writes, and he is an excellent guitarist). My only point was that instead of making an argument which was compelling, or argumentative, you simply yelled at your opponent in the argument. This is not good arguing, it doesn't make you look correct and it makes your argument seem more immature than it is.
Even though I agree with you (well, I think I do), your presentation was immature.
Love this song..shows how versatile he is..he's more than blues, he's Rock/Blues..or BLues/Rock. Debatable...he's been influenced by so many Greats & has performed it all.
That song looks really similar to another that i can't remember, specially from the minute 1.40. anybody knows the title of the song i'm thinking about????
Why are they singing - Where is my Badge ?
And as the title, I don't get it :/

I wonder what would've happened if Jack Bruce sang this song in Cream. Clapton wouldn't be playing it now if Jack did sing.
DDInDaHouse187 3 years ago
I always thought Jack Bruce did sing the song. . ? Anyhow, this performance just is not the same without Jack's bass and Ginger's drums.
And can you or anyone else set me straight: wasn't it Clapton who always sang the falsetto in "White Room"?
coolscrnname 3 years ago
wth is a falsetto?
DDInDaHouse187 3 years ago
thats when you change your voice to hit high notes. Like black guys do to sing love songs. sounds like a girl singing.

Clapton did it live sometimes, but on the record, Bruce sang the whole song.
