  • Why are they singing - Where is my Badge ?

And as the title, I don't get it :/

  • george harrison& eric the best

  • The energy of the whole band is great!

  • Hands down to this performance. This is one of the best live performance for me.

  • one of the greatest songs ever recorded and my top 3 list, how does 1 person come up with all this music. eric , elton, and a few others have more top 10 songs than anyone of these so called kings of rock ,and pop.

  • This is my second favorite version of this song - HA

  • the jacket, the guitar, the setting, the music. Clapton is the original badass. I used to think it was al pacino, but al has nothing on Clapton

  • is this song by EC?

  • @CeciSWEC mostly by George Harrison, he helped Clapton write it for a Cream album....even Ringo had a line or 2 in there...Clapton was trying to read the paper upside down, from across the table, where Harrison had marked the bridge, the flanger sounding part and thought it said Badge, hence the name

  • love this.. it's awesome.

  • Best version of Badge ever! The bridge in the middle I always play when I'm getting ready to do a set or tuning up... We already cover "Layla" but this would be a cool cover song to do...

  • Truly incredible. What cut of this incredible piece of music.

  • hard act to follow!

  • fantastica ..

  • he switches into a leslie at the break in the song!

  • OH MY GADD!!

  • the look he gives to the side at 00:48 is really cute. this was always one of my favourite all time songs

  • @niish123456 looks like he is looking at one of the singers, maybe some inside joke or special meaning there lol

  • @blindriv3r

yeah, i will leave it to my imagination.

have you listened to "bad love" or "forever man" ? there are a few versions that have been kindly posted.

  • The best Clapton concert is the one that goes on between my ears. Clapton is god.

  • man epic song

  • legacy, delaney and bonnie, layla

  • Bandeira do meu Brasil em 4:35...que emoção ahahahah

  • @HernanZitoZin mano esse concerto foi épico eu tenho até o dvd

  • Clapton's best!!!

    Badge!!!

  • clapton stole harrison's wife... brush up your history

  • steve gad and god!!!

  • I have this concert DVD, and even this post has great stereo separation! I use this song and performance of Eric to setup my home sound systems. This is just good stuff and even better mixing. Kudos to the sound guys!

  • Whos the bass player?

  • The bass player is Dave Bronze.

  • A great song over 40 years old co written by George Harrison.

  • Clapton is GOD!!!! :DDD

  • AMEN!

  • Woh! I didn't know that Steve Gadd played like such an asshole!

  • This has to be THE best version of this song I've heard ever!

Also, anybody know what kind of bass that is? Because it sounds amazing!

  • Check out the "Eric Clapton Badge with Tim Renwick Live in Hartford". Much, much better.

  • The bass guitar that Dave Bronze is using is a Sadowsky 5-string J-bass.

  • Steve Gadd is a god.

  • Stevie Gadd..purely awesome

  • Couldn't agree more. Just purchased his snare drum. It's sweet!

  • interesting to hear two drummers play this song so differently.

ginger baker like a hammer vs. sg

  • what is the drummers name?

  • @fishkeeping123 his name is Steve "Stevie" Gadd

  • it is him on '50 ways to leave your lover'

  • ... it was 2 min a go and ... ur fast

  • lui.e la chitarra.qualsiasi cosa suona.

  • Anyone think its time for Eric Clapton to change the pickups? Sometheing

  • why?

  • the best concert of eric clapton, hyde park

  • Doesn't matter what version of this song I hear,I always get into a cold sweat because it was the first Cream song I ever owned back in 1967 :) I love the instrumental bit before the second verse :)

  • its good but i think the one more car one more rider version is better

  • my favorite song from my favorite artist and my favorite version from my favorite live DVD:D

  • Great video!!! Thank you... Excellent quality

  • Dr Steve Gadd

  • The very best

  • a good road trip song

  • This is how drums should be played! Amazing. Such groove, taste, emotion...not to mention the increasingly complex fills in the outro that build the intensity.

  • :D nice joke man...

  • Nope, the drummer is Steve Gadd

  • The Drummer is Steve Gadd

  • You gotta love the drummer here :D

Clapton is a Blues God mathing B.B and Muddy Waters

  • HowellAtTheMoon15,

you are such a stupid asshole for telling that, if you know nothing about something, its better to keep your mouth shut. Clapton has written awesome and respectable songs, use a search engine to find them all. He has covered famous songs too, in order to keep their spirit alive to the world, which you actually cant see.

please dont post such bullshit next time.

    Thanks

  • hurr, see how big my epeen is as I curse on the internet. I am so cool I'm ice motherFUCKING cold. That makes me FUCKING right and you a clown, totally ignorant about music! CLEARLY I AM RIGHT BECAUSE I AM AGGRESSIVE INSTEAD OF WELL ARGUED.

  • What makes you think that he's such an amazing songwriter? You make me sound bad for not being well argued, but what point have you made about Eric Clapton? You didn't mention his name once.

  • Of course I didn't. I don't think he's a particularly excellent songwriter (though I do enjoy the songs he writes, and he is an excellent guitarist). My only point was that instead of making an argument which was compelling, or argumentative, you simply yelled at your opponent in the argument. This is not good arguing, it doesn't make you look correct and it makes your argument seem more immature than it is.

Even though I agree with you (well, I think I do), your presentation was immature.

  • You're uneducated in the music field. lol.

  • Great version with amazing drumming. Thanks for posting this.

  • one of the best drummers in the world. He can hold a groove like no one.

  • the man is a bloody genius:-D CLAPTON IS GOD!

  • Love this song..shows how versatile he is..he's more than blues, he's Rock/Blues..or BLues/Rock. Debatable...he's been influenced by so many Greats & has performed it all.

  • a damn professional!

  • very good

  • this music is the best

  • that song reminds me to another that i've heard before, but i can't get the title of it....anybody knows the song i'm thinkig about???

  • the fingerpicking is similar to the chords of you shook me all night long

  • yeah, the arpeggios, but this is a 1968 song (if memory serves me well)...

  • That song looks really similar to another that i can't remember, specially from the minute 1.40. anybody knows the title of the song i'm thinking about????

  • message in a bottle by the police?

  • More than a feeling? - Boston

  • yes, i think so, now i realise it was that song. thank you very much

  • @sterlingsir that's right ... but Clapton was first ;-) so Boston took it from him (Cream)

  • dont listen to the others, i know exactly what you're thinking, its called bad love from the album journeyman (eric clapton)

  • I believe there's a good 24 Nights Live Version of Bad Love.... I may be mistaken though.

  • I wonder what would've happened if Jack Bruce sang this song in Cream. Clapton wouldn't be playing it now if Jack did sing.

  • I always thought Jack Bruce did sing the song. . ? Anyhow, this performance just is not the same without Jack's bass and Ginger's drums.

And can you or anyone else set me straight: wasn't it Clapton who always sang the falsetto in "White Room"?

  • wth is a falsetto?

  • thats when you change your voice to hit high notes. Like black guys do to sing love songs. sounds like a girl singing.

  • Clapton did it live sometimes, but on the record, Bruce sang the whole song.

  • Clapton is good.

  • if Clapton is God, who is Jeff beck?

  • clapton as so good as beck...but clapton has a hand very very abnormal

  • That would make Moses

  • yea indeed he rules!!!

  • he is an amazing musician. no one can compare.

    Clapton is GOD!!!

  • Damn. This song kicks ass. Eric Clapton is one of my favorite guitarists ever. Singer too.
