I do not know who this smith is, all I can say is that it is not Lars Enander or Ulrika Stridsberg. I filmed this last summer during a 8 day course in basic forging. Lars was the teacher at this course. (We were not allowed to use the presses, it took several days to do the same work by hand...)

That is a massive hammer! At first I thought it was two halves of a locomotive engine being brought together.
It must take a lot of skill to make an axe with either a power hammer or hand tools. I am always impressed by talented craftsmen.

I own a Granfors axe. It came from the factory with am edge that could dry shave the hair off my arm.
A most wonderful tool, worth every penny.
