Firstly, you can find anything in a crowd of thousands if you look hard enough. If you go searching for dead pools of inky blackness, you'll find them, while the folks with actual fire behind their eyes will elude you. Secondly, at which point does public anger become genuine and legitimate, in your opinion, and not merely a staged performance, or mindless herding behavior? Is there any form of collective action that you would not find automatically suspect? If there is, what would it look like?

@arkham618 To clarify, I don't expect OWS to accomplish anything substantive on its own (any more than did the Tea Party), and I do suspect an element of political theater in its inception, but I also see potential in such a movement -- if not necessarily *this* movement -- to take on a life of its own, to get away from its putative handlers -- who are neither omniscient nor omnipotent, and therefore prone to error -- and evolve into something unpredictable and *dangerous* to the status quo.

Had a chance to go attend a rally and march today against disability benefit cuts where I live but had some chores to do. When it was about to start I suddenly felt a drop in energy as I didn't really want to go so had a nap. Many of the people attending IME have a negative energy field around them and don't do anything to improve their health or even maintain it. They are just as judgemental about "malingerers" as the Daily Mail and the Government are.

@lemsip Depression is part of the territory of disability much of the time and trying to improve your health is very difficult when everything seems to bring you down to square one. There are malingerers on disability benefit, I've seen several, one went into her medical with a bad back, after the medical and had walked past reception straightened up and smiled to her friend and walked off perfectly well. I'm very judgmental about people that do that sort of thing...

One thing that has me suspicious of group movements is that if there really is a elitist eugenics agenda, and there probably is looking at history, then one vector to engineer society would be to eliminate protesting out of the gene pool. Thomas, I don't think he's an actor, the majority of co-opting was done by the left, Soros and Adbusters, who never bring up the Fed. In fact Moore said that the problem isn't the Fed, it's capitalism. I think this young man is in attack mode, he is angry, he is in a psychological state devoid of any humor. Like I've said before, what I notice most when watching videos here are the comments - the tone, the rhetoric, etc. A LOT OF WORK TO DO!!! Because I find it hard to reconcile the desire for peace with the way we react to a view that does not fit our personal world view. I've done it myself, many times. It amazes me that we're still caught in their traps of ideology, while failing to investigate the MECHANICS of what they're doing. For instance, top of my demands would be to see the books.
