This cat lived 18 and 1/2 years, which means he had a VERY good life! Probably one of the most loved and spoiled cats in the world! I'm sure he loved every day of it. He looks just like our cat Muffin who just turned 9. I hope Muffin lives at least 9 more years. RIP Melonhead!

I have no idea why the concrete licking started, maybe some kind of mineral or something. She was great, I adopted her mother (Miss S.K.), and then a few years later she was born, and the other kittens weren't, and had to be surgically removed. So I hand fed Melonhead from day one, and slept with her to keep her warm and from then on I guess she saw me as her mom. She was a great cat...kind of weird though, but I suppose all cats have their weird ways.

Thanks. I miss her. The main key to her long life was keeping her an indoor cat. Once in awhile I would take her outside, but never unattended...she liked to lick the concrete.
