How do you think Normandy would have turned out if the Eastern Front hadn't chewed up so much of the Wehrmacht? Cпасибо, товарищи!

Also many cossacks served for the Red Army. One beacause my heritage is Russian cossack and my grandfather or as i call him "BaBa" told me how was FORCED to join or else he and his brothers would have been slaughterd by the Communist so he was forced to fight with communist russia. Also he still has his ushanka with Red Army Star. On it But yes other Cossacks joined the SS but thats a differnt Story.

  • You will never be glorious comrade ;_;

  • why the fuck do people argue politics on a video of a DANCE!

  • The Music reminds me of Pinocchio when he was dancing.

  • If they just had a dance off with the germans, the war would have been over a lot sooner.

  • hard to believe people feel threatend by them

  • Super!

  • You must have a mediocre argument, otherwise you wouldn't resort to ad hominem attacks. I detest the tea party movement, and consider myself left of American liberalism. I've never been accused of being a racist, or homophobe. I merely responded to rather bizarre conclusion that communism offers some sort of 'choice'. Make a choice to leave as a citizen of Cuba and see what happens. Please clarify your position. Are you saying that a citizen of East Berlin could visit relatives in the West?

  • They make it look so easy, especially the guys at 2:06 and 3:53

  • the figure with accordion 4:25 is amazing!!!

    Bravo!!!

  • The dance is more typical of the Ukraine, not Russia. (Part of the USSR at the time?)

  • @KalinkaMalinkaful Точно! В России ,в то время, танцевали с бубнами,вокруг костра!

  • @KalinkaMalinkaful Very much so. Ukraine was not always a country...it started as one, but disintegrated sometime about the 12th century, later absorbed by the Russians and Austria-Hungarians. After the Bolshevik revolution, it emerged again as one of the first Republics of the USSR. So, as you can imagine, all that culture in the area got mixed over time. This style of dance CAN be found in the Ukraine, but also in Russian style dancing, which is based largely off of a mix of Slavic folk dance.

  • Rofl, east side story!

  • @Prihodco

Любой преступный режим уничтожает следы своих преступлений. Или ты хочешь сказать, что Сталин был действительно добрым дядюшкой, который на "верный путь" озарил?

  • there is a like button and a dislike button but where is the clap button?

  • FABULOUS !!!!!!

  • the russians had a passion for life they were too busy running their own life they had no desire to rule the world like those bastard germans did

  • @7399pooey oh yes they did ever heard of communism

  • @hatemf23 Communism is anti-imperialism, learn before you judge capitalist pig.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx Communism was about spreading the revolution weather you liked it or not, USSR motto was "workers of the world unite".

  • @hatemf23 That was the ultimate goal, imperialism as defined by The Dictionary of Human Geography, is "the creation and maintenance of an unequal economic, cultural and territorial relationship, usually between states and often in the form of an empire, based on domination and subordination", communism was equality and America could care less about it's citizens health and invades small countries with no reason, whether you like it or not, America is the perfect example of imperialism.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx Which would explain the need to build border fortifications to keep people IN the socialist camp. In the normal world, that arrangement is called a prison. In any case, the moment a free choice was given, none of the 14 non Russian so called 'republics' opted to remain politically united with Russia or a communist country of any sort. The same for Eastern Europe. You're argument is disingenuous and not supported by history.

  • @dsindc Exactly and that's the lovely thing about communism, you hate it, I love it, we all have a choice, even in a socialist society, if you want to live in America, it is possible, things seem hard, but they are possible. I still feel offended that you consider capitalists society's "normal world", I wasn't trying to be mean, but you're probably some tea party gay basher with slight racism, as the saying goes "Not every conservative is a racist, but every racist is a conservative."Stop hating

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx No, that's the hideous thing about communism. Communist states have historically restricted movement within their own country, and certainly outside. Under the most odious forms of communism ( eg. the Stalinist era ), the simple act of asking to be allowed to venture the communist bloc was a crime that would lead one to the Gulag. I never identified capitalism with anything. My point was that communist societies have violated basic human rights more than any others.

  • @dsindc That's certainly true, although you attack communism too much for me to believe you, the proletariat could wander anywhere is his land. The main goal is to unite the proletariat and prevent aristocracy from controlling us again, the only way to do that is a strong communist government, you just randomly attacked me from a conversation I was having with another individual?

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx You called 'hatemf23' a "capitalist pig", and you accused me of being a "tea party gay basher with slight racism". This almost sounds like a diagnosis out of the DSM. Something like "Bi-polar, with delusions of grandeur". I said your argument is "disingenuous". I see no personal attack against anything other than your amusing ideas. "Prevent an aristocracy?" Are you serious? Introduce yourself to a Russian term" Nomenklatura". It refers to the elite class in the USSR.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx The communist "nomenklatura" had access to better housing, cars, and perhaps most importantly food. They even had special stores for them. Some version of the nomenklatura (rough translation, "the named" has emerged in virtually every communist society. It is particularly North Korea.

This is a public site, and this post has been visited by over 85,000 people. If you can't engage in a proper argument, then don't throw absurd comments out.

  • @dsindc LOL I was never looking for an arguement I meant to post a few absurd comments out, you did give me a hell of an arguement and I'm not even a communist, I'm Labour Party. Believe what you will mate, I'm subbing to you.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx Meh.... ok, nice job. You should be a politician. But work on your "arguements" (sic).... btw, that's "argument".

  • @dsindc LOL No probs mate, are you a lib dem?

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx Yes, perhaps even a bit left of that. I'm a government employee engaged in insurance regulation: a position superior to sex, even good sex. I spend the day screaming at insurance companies telling them just what gutter scum they truly are. Soviet communism was essentially a sort of state capitalism. As a graduate student, Japan's economy was still doing well. So we studied it. I concluded that MITI (ministry of foreign trade) was a sort of politburo and doomed to (cont)

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx bring disaster to the Japanese economy. The reason for my bringing this up is that any system that focuses economic decisions in the hands of very few is headed for disaster, unless of course there are serious checks and balances. What I hate about republicans is that they are trying to dismantle the checks and balances- including the labor movement. I subscribe to the Mae West theory of economy "money's like manure- it does nobody no good unless it's spread around".)

  • @dsindc Exactly, I don't want to claim to solve problems, but I think America grows under moderation, Reagan is too far right, Obama seems my type of left, again I'm not judging I base this on my information, how is it working out? Since your parliament is different from your executive branch, do you ever agree on anything? (besides those horrendous tax cuts)

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx Nice to hear from you xxx. I agree with you. BUT, the entire political spectrum in the U.S. is to the right. For instance, our liberals are more conservative than liberals in much of the rest of the world. One fact that is too often ignored- the economy has done better under every democratic admin. as compared to republicans. Obama has been hugely successful on a number of issues in only 2 years. He is also the most popular politician in the world. (cont)

  • Comment removed

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx It certainly didn't hurt that Obama followed the most hated president we have had in many years. Our system must baffle Europeans- it is not a parliamentary system & has a very strong executive. It is very hard to move legislation, a hangover from colonial times, & the example of Europe in the 18th century. We wanted small gov. Now we need it bigger. I will say, if there is any country the U.S. would look to for advice, it is the U.K. for whom we have great respect.

  • @dsindc I see, more of a conservative presidential republic, I just think it's ironic how America acuses everyone else of being a socialist nation, then the public views them negatively. As for it's "congress" I believe is what it's called, and the senate, need to be equal to the executive, for example, America has been in so many wars but the last time congress declared war was WW2 I believe.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx Yes, there is a lot of irony to go around. I live in the District of Columbia (pop. 600,000) which votes approximately 92% democratic consistently. We are surrounded by about 5 million in the suburbs which lean very heavily left. American is a massive country and there are huge regional differences, much like one would find in the EU. While Scandinavia was incredibly socially advanced, Spain and Greece for instance, had fascist dictorships.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx When I refer to Spain and Greece, I am NOT speaking of ancient history, both were fascists as recently as the 1970's. The New York city area pop. 20 million is very left leaning as is much of the northeast, and the west coast. However, due to population shifts to the South and Midwest, power has moved. I think you're right the notion that Socialism is a dirty word in much of the country. But in much of the U.S. it is not. But it is after all, only a word.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx The presidency of FDR saw massive socialist expansion. As did Truman, and Johnson. By comparison, Japan is far less socialized than the U.S. We have a state pension program, and socialized medicine for the elderly, and thank god with the Obama healthcare legislation finally, the rest of us. We do some things well, and suck at other things. But that's typical of all countries. I would however, argue with some of your conclusions regarding foreign policy.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx We have been in "so many wars" compared to whom? Certainly not Europe. The 19th century saw European countries raping poor countries all over the world. Even little Belgium. Ask someone in the Congo - King Leopold treated Africans like Nazis treated Jews. Or in the 20th Century, WW1, the Spanish Civil War, WW2, the Cold War, etc. I have seen conservative, yes CONSERVATIVE figures of the deaths caused by Europeans in the 20th cent. at 50 million. 6 mill. Jews alone.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx I studied French in grammar school and my teacher had been a Jew in the camps. She said she came to love the U.S. for its conduct following the war. For the first time, instead of cleaning out all the goodies, we spent billions through the Marshall Plan to get Western Europe on its feet. This was even offered to the USSR. They declined. Churchill called the M.P. the most "unsordid act in history". That said, yes we have been in some dumb ass wars.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx So I would caution you on "so many wars". Let's not forget we were almost begging Europe to do SOMETHING about the situation in the Balkans in the 90's. Concentration camps were being set up- and European tribal warfare seemed to be returning. It took the intervention of the U.S. to end it. You bring up declared wars. It's complicated. Yes, Congressional approval is needed. However, the president is Commander in Chief and has huge powers to act militarily alone (cont).

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx However this was restricted after Vietnam by the War Powers Act, and the president needs congressional approval after a certain amount of time. In any case, you bring up a good point. Even the USSR's Politburo was amazed at the power one man had in the U.S. Even THEY after Stalin at least never had such power placed in one man. Nonetheless, I would point out that we had the bomb alone for several years and could have controlled anything we wanted. We showed restraint.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx Trying to keep this short. I would argue the E.U. (I understand it's not a country, but sort of).and the U.S. both have huge problems. I have been all over Europe, and the situation with immigrants is not pretty. The problems with integrating Muslims in places like Malmo Sweden is huge, and I'm afraid Europe is heading for a cliff. We do a better job of integration, and with 12.8% of the population Black, we elected a Black president. I doubt that would happen in Europe.

  • @xxxeMoforAday22xxx At the same time, the U.S. is having huge problems with distribution of wealth. In my opinion we need to tax the filthy rich to hell- greedy bastards. Still, in spite of this, gays are now in the military, gay marriage is legal in several states, socialized medicine is being phased in, etc. Obama is thank god, president. By the way, I saw your info - In London I've been to places like Village Soho, the Old Colherne, and also Sitges. Do we have something in common? Cheers.

  • @dsindc @dsindc I have to second that, we have massive problems, I believe we the Brit's have the second biggest debt, right behind France who has a lovely health care system by the way. On the social front, we've been dealing with nationalists, who we could compare to the American tea party movement which you could imagine looks like a load of bullocks to us, they're racist and homophobic. They side with the Tories (conservative party), which is already Britains biggest party.

  • @dsindc On integration, we have the conservative mindset, this is our country, sadly enough. Iceland is the worlds most socially advanced country, with a gay head of state. We have had gay people in the military since 1974 (openly 1999), so "Don't ask, Don't tell" left us baffled, then we found out how ignorant your right-wing really was. Gay marriage is still outside the church of England, we do have gay adoption and full-rights civil unions because we couldn't bend the Catholics/Muslims.

  • @dsindc I'm from Fulham, but I have a lot of friends from Soho, gay as you might imagine :)

  • @Lasstreffenduopfer hitler make business with jews , but you are a nazi , so wtf

  • @Lasstreffenduopfer yes and they were severely punished by papa stalin , traitors in war are not allowed

  • this beats shuffling any day lol Red Army Choir FTW! :D

  • All was going well in the Soviet Union. The collapse of Western Capitalism seemed imminent. But then, the entire Russian Army was wiped out in a disastrous dance-off by the dreaded Derick Zoolander!

  • @Lasstreffenduopfer Hey lighten up already !! Its a JOKE !!

  • Fabulous. Now I know why Nureynev and Baryshnikov could dance like they did. They obviously have a heritage full of great dancers.

  • STOP!.....HAMMMER (and sickle) TIME!

  • Not only does the Red Army know how to fight, it knows how to dance!

  • ... I'm pretty sure one of us just got served...

  • What more can one say but WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!

  • i laughed to hard through that, because of sheer amazement! I've never seen anything like that and absolutely loved it!

  • amazing, love it

  • great!!!!!!
