i have a 1600 glx and over hauled the engine and brought up to 1750cc whitch is knowen as a brazilian block. i still use it but only now and again because it gallons to the mile not miles to the gallon. it pulls out about 140 bhp and 115 mph top speed but can hit top end very very quick. a grate car
it´s a group 4 car, the grop B prototype was a Talbot Horizon but it never drove due to the peugeot talbot sport connection... the rest is history ..... 205 T16 ;0)
To earn status as a Group B car it would have had to BE a group B car.the sunbeam lotus was a group 2 car, that ran along side the new group b regulations. Not all cars that ran during the group b era were actually IN that catagory.i'm a fan of the sunbeam, and obviously you are too.
I apologise for my foul language, the one talking rubbish was me.
Yes I am a mad fan of the sunbeam, Me and my father own one here in tenerife. Not a lotus though, its a TI bored out to 1.8 and fully prepped by Hartwell Engineerings specialist Ray Payne (RIP). Trully amazing car even after so many years. Do you own a sunbeam?
Back in the 80´s when it was dyno´d at hartwell it produced 156bhp up to 5.5k, we couldnt measure any higher because the engine was fresh and over reving was not a clever idea. Today I have no idea as dynos here are rubbish and I wont take the risk

I'm pretty sure it was the talbot 'horizon' which was being homologated for group B but I could be wrong

No,i don't own one but it's one of those cars you rarely see unless you go to a car show, and the majority for sale have been ragged to death.
What sort of figures is your ti producing bhp wise?
