for the lash curler, i close my eye and put the curler on it, then open and push it into the crease a little to get as many lashed in it as i can. its very easy to use.
The elf eyeliner sucks. It is not pigmented enough and mine dried out so fast! I got a black and a brown and both are not pigmented enough and my black one dried out really fast. The brown one is still there, but it's getting dried out too, just slower.
Maybe you're Rimmel eyeliner is dried out??? Mine's really creamy! Maybe wave it over a candle to soften it up? Mine is super pigmented and easy to work with. Also you're hairstyle is very unique! Is it an asymmetrical bob??

In regards to the lip product from Maybelline, I had the same issue but last night I tried blotting on and rubbing quickly with my finger. It turned out nice and gave a stained look.

for the rimmel liner i had that same problem, and it was so dry and not creamy at all, with like no color payoff. But if you sharpen it down atleast half way to the point where there is like only an inch left then warm it up a little then i gets really pigmented and soft and is amazing on the waterline, if only it was like that from the start :)

i'm not sure if you've ever tried this technique, but you may want to try running the tip of the white Rimmel liner through the flame of a lighter, but you have to do it really quickly! literally for like less than 1 second.. & test it on the back of your hand first so you don't burn your eyelid! lol! it makes liners more creamy & makes them glide on with a much softer consistency. sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't.. just a suggestion! :)

That´s how I "rescued" a brand new (but a little bit dryed out) mac paint pot (in artifact). It worked brilliantly for me! I opened a brand new Visine and put some drops in it. No mixing. Just let them on top.I don´t know if the ingredients will work for this product, but at least you can try on your hand if they mix and then put directly in the pot...

I got the wet n wild cream/gel liner and swatted it on the back of my hand. I had to scrub to get it off and ended up taking that layer of skin off where the swatch was. Luckily it wasn't on my eye. So I won't be using that again :(
It comes off easily with waterproof or sometimes regular eye makeup remover. It is supposed to be water resistent so a remover of some sort is required. I recommend sonia kashuk's eye makeup remover from target. It gets anything and everything off for me in one or two gentle swipes.
I have a black eye liner pencil that smudges real bad, so I set it with black powder eye liner. I have l'oreal kohl minerals powder liner in 01 precious black and it works a treat. I hate gel liners that smudge. I have the elf lash curlers and I'm not that keen on them, if I'm just curling my lashes coz I'm short of time they pinch n it hurts like heck. I recently purchased a white eyeliner with that same problem. I found that if I melt the tip a bit with a hairdryer that it works so much better! Kind of weird, but it's a way to use up the product.
Sam, I was going to ask whether you've used the ELF gel liner during winter or if you used it during summer. My stylist is also a make up artist and she told me how she does not usually recomend to use gel liner during summer (I live in TX we have 100+ F all summer), reason being becuase like you said it smudges everywhere, there's too much humidity, the heat,etc. I've used it before and it was great, that being said I always seal the liner with a black shadow.
@klarycalzada - I've never tried ELF gel liner but I use maybelline gel eye liner (the one that comes with a great little brush) and I use that everyday and even if the rest of my face were to melt off my eyeliner wouldnt be going anywhere!! it even lasted hours on my waterline so maybe check that out if your worried about smudging eyeliners :-)

I bought the elf cream liners in brown and black off of the site and loved them (brown for brows when u want good definition). then I bought the blue and purple at target and they suck as liners. I like the Rimmel black kohl liner, works better than the special eyes one but the packaging is the same. The rubber piece of the curler kept falling out.

It's a "cream" liner not a gel liner.. That's why it doesn't stay put. If u apply it on the water line or if u have oily kids then it will not wrk for you. But it's pretty good when u use it on the upper lash line :/

There was this lotion my mother used to make me apply every night when I was a kid and I stopped using it. Then last year I tried it and it totally broke me out,....really...really bad. I think I was allergic to the thing.
The lotion was in a compact shape, black and white and with a black bell on top of it. Stay away!!!!

now that I think about it, when I had that "seriously shine free" moisturizer I had my worst breakout ever too!

Omg I love that elf gel liner, and I actually prefer it to my MAC fluidline because it basically the same thing and it's only $3 not $15.50!

I got the wet n wild cream/gel liner and swatted it on the back of my hand. I had to scrub to get it off and ended up taking that layer of skin off where the swatch was. Luckily it wasn't on my eye. So I won't be using that again :(

It comes off easily with waterproof or sometimes regular eye makeup remover. It is supposed to be water resistent so a remover of some sort is required. I recommend sonia kashuk's eye makeup remover from target. It gets anything and everything off for me in one or two gentle swipes.

I have a black eye liner pencil that smudges real bad, so I set it with black powder eye liner. I have l'oreal kohl minerals powder liner in 01 precious black and it works a treat. I hate gel liners that smudge. I have the elf lash curlers and I'm not that keen on them, if I'm just curling my lashes coz I'm short of time they pinch n it hurts like heck. I too have to be careful with face products, I can use them one day and be fine, use them again and pow, rash n breakout from hell. Like ya s

I recently purchased a white eyeliner with that same problem. I found that if I melt the tip a bit with a hairdryer that it works so much better! Kind of weird, but it's a way to use up the product.

Sam, I was going to ask whether you've used the ELF gel liner during winter or if you used it during summer. My stylist is also a make up artist and she told me how she does not usually recomend to use gel liner during summer (I live in TX we have 100+ F all summer), reason being becuase like you said it smudges everywhere, there's too much humidity, the heat,etc. I've used it before and it was great, that being said I always seal the liner with a black shadow.

@klarycalzada - I've never tried ELF gel liner but I use maybelline gel eye liner (the one that comes with a great little brush) and I use that everyday and even if the rest of my face were to melt off my eyeliner wouldnt be going anywhere!! it even lasted hours on my waterline so maybe check that out if your worried about smudging eyeliners :-)

@sonilovesbunny i'd have to agree with you on that.. :) I have the maybelline gel liner and it works perfectly.. the lady at maybelline told me if it gets i bit difficult to work with, like getting some product on the brush 'coz it's been a long time since i used it, i could juz put a little drop of baby oil in the container.. and it works.. :)

@Kiniko07 Actually Temptalia has posted in her blog that ELF gel liner is 100% the same thing as the MAC blacktrack fluid line. I guess just like Sam said it just didn't work for her.

YES the elf liner does suck... i usually use wnw and my elf one in coffee is an amazing colour, but 5 min after i apply, its not there anymore:(( FRUSTRATION!:)

I bought the elf cream liners in brown and black off of the site and loved them (brown for brows when u want good definition). then I bought the blue and purple at target and they suck as liners. I like the Rimmel black kohl liner, works better than the special eyes one but the packaging is the same. The rubber piece of the curler kept falling out.

I bought that elf eyeliner too! I tried to put it on and it would barely come off of the brush! I guess my eyes were too watery or something, I wanted it to work so bad!

It's a "cream" liner not a gel liner.. That's why it doesn't stay put. If u apply it on the water line or if u have oily kids then it will not wrk for you. But it's pretty good when u use it on the upper lash line :/

Oh, I have that Rimmel white one, too. It was actually more pigmented and smooth than the NYX eyeliners- but dang, it kept. on. breaking. SO ANNOYING >___<

You've got Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask on your table...I freakin love that stuff! You can't get it in the UK so I ship it from New York...totally worth it. We have the worst selection of face masks in the UK and they're all awful!!! There's like 2 different brands to choose from. Yak! :o/

The e.l.f. eyelash curler pinched me very bad as well and it also cut through the little rubber filler things (no idea what they are called) so fast, which has never happened on any of my other eyelash curlers so you're not alone!

Oh gosh I can definitely relate to you when you had your pores clogged and rocky mountain occured. There was this lotion my mother used to make me apply every night when I was a kid and I stopped using it. Then last year I tried it and it totally broke me out,....really...really bad. I think I was allergic to the thing.
The lotion was in a compact shape, black and white and with a black bell on top of it. Stay away!!!!

On your eyelash curler it looks liek it doesn't have the pad on the curler so maybe thats why it pinches
