Effects were well done, the majority of the muzzle flashes were good. The cinematography was great, the props were believeable. Sound was excelent.
The recoil on some of the shots were off (the sniper mostly), The hand to hand combat was sluggish, also try and use a tripod for slower shots, hand held should only really be intense action.
This is far better then most of the stuff on here, good job.
how did you camera track the bullet holes. Did you do it using after effects. Because i cant for some reason i think the tracker gets messed up because of the quality of the camera
@MrWemakevid well higher quality video can def help out but I also used Mocha to do the tracking in this. It's bundled with AE CS4 and I believe CS5 as well. Just google some "mocha tutorials" and that should get you started for sure. good luck.
@MrWemakevid hey thanks for the answer ive been messing around with mocha lately its a pretty cool feature of after effects. I think your filming and camera angles are amazing. I might have a video out in about a month. itll be my first official video using after effects.
I like how the second soldier (or whatever possition he is playing), his weapon has been changed to an M4, with it being an HK XM8.......I think. Whatever, just makes more since. Nice work!
when you were fighting in the house you shouldve sped up the clip to make it look more realistic and had the camera sit still then in AE you could make the camera shake
Recoil should be much faster and also the fighting in the house. When the sniper loaded his rifle, it was too fast and his weapon didn't move. Just some things that would make it better, but this was really good.
Much better than the first cut!!! I really liked it
I will stay off the fight scene bandwagon and add one small thought. I recently watched Restrepo about soldiers in Afghanistan. I was amazed at how worn their guns were. They were far from pristine condition. I also thought it was interesting how they carried their weapons slung much higher than I would have thought. Just a couple thoughts for future filming.
Quick tip, when you use fire put the transfer mode on screen which will create a real lighting effect. But great otherwise, please don't get offended by my comment it's just a suggestion.
the muzzle flashes should light up the scene so this way you have effects that arent just overlaid over the original video it looks like the elements are actually interacting with the scene
@angadgsingh ok i can work on the color correction a bit, but its supposed to be coming from a grenade by the wall, even though thats not what a grenade explosion would look like, this is Hollywood! (well not really but you know what i mean). thanks for the tips!
I liked it alot! good use of space, like i knew what was going on and where, but it seemed like you acted out the axe scene in slo-mo, which isn't terrible if you did. But to me it sort of looked like you just trying to be careful with the axe and not hurt some one then trying to sell the scene, but i liked it anyways
@MGfilms11 thanks man, and you are spot on. we were in a tight area with a couple people and we were trying to be somewhat careful! Safety first! haha yeah we need to work on the scene some more, so thanks for your comments and tips!!!
@sebster555 the 720p version is only 99 bucks! i highly recommend it,. is actually "essential" for anyone wanting to do action movies! sorry about that pun....
@famouzboyz234 well yes and no, for this particular film, since all in all its mainly just an excuse to use Action Essentials 2, I didnt do much Pre-production on it, where you storyboard out shots, write the script, ect. I mainly just thought of the main shots i wanted in my head and my have storyboarded, but then when we went out to shoot i just used those as a rough idea. Thats not how you want to do a real short film though if it has a story, dialog, and such.
@famouzboyz234 well, i am kind of a jack of all trades for this one :) i planned out the shots, i was the cinematographer, and then i have also edited and done all the VFX work. right now, its just me and 3 other friends working on this, they are all actors and i do all the filming and post work. its good practice and good fun though! Normally the director would be mainly responsible for directing the actors and getting the performances he wants, but since this is so low budge, i do a lot more.
I like the video, but the action from 2:31 to2:48 is a little bit too slow.. If you can keep a high action pace in there, that would be great.. Looking forward to the movie!
@sloterfilmgroep thank you! yeah we have been meaning to shoot some more angles and whatnot to speed up the action. The room that is shot in is so small it was hard to get good angles for the shots, but we have a new camera (Canon t2i) which should help out with a wider lens. Thanks for watching!
@famouzboyz234 thanks! well we started it late into last summer, but we really only filmed for a few weekends for a couple of months into late 2009, and we havent really worked on it much since :( mainly because its hard to get all my friends together for very long to film.
@PoisonMuffinz thanks! the first time we filmed that scene the actor had cut his thumb, so he smeared real blood all over the googles and it looked awesome, but i did another video shoot that day and accidentally recorded over the footage, so we reshot with fake blood, but it still came out nicely. thanks for watching!
Good Job man!

@joshthrbc For the explosion, color correct it to match ur back ground,
the base smoke is to far back, and the explosion isnt blasting out of the wall, it looks like a flamethrower. from a stream to large plume....
