I've noticed that the majority of the people who DO like the film are older, though I think age really shouldn't factor into it so much as just life experience, I'm personally only 16 years old and completely understand the film.

Unfortunately most people are quite oblivious and misunderstand that what to them seems "boring" is not just about the storyline but about how it's portrayed and the significant details that make the movie such a great success (at least in my eyes). It's kind of like when painters throw blobs on paper and call it "art"....not everyone gets it.
