i drove from one side of melbourne to the other on australia day to visit friends. only saw 3 flags on cars. if i include mine, 4. no other australia day things anywhere else either. lots of cowards around after that survey. ridiculous survey of only 100 car flag owners....

I saw a lot of my friends on facebook with there messages and pictures of the Australian flag ranting, so I put up a picture of a Koala Bear with my "Happy Australia Day" message, hopefully to remind people what is great about Australia and to stop worry about some $2 flag made in China.

On the subject of the flag being sign of a racist mindset or not, that attention seeking whore in WA can get fucked, the flag is a symbol of nationality not race and anyone one of any race can be an Australian.

It's not about the fact of flag waving, it's the way you wave the flag. Whether you're standing in a polite row holding a tiny flag at chest height, or running drunkenly through the street with a massive flag trailing behind you and your bare chest displaying a tattoo design based on your "love it or leave it" bumper sticker. Just after the Cronulla Riots I got into a fight at Big Day Out in Sydney cause as I was entering the event and some dumb fucka was wanting me to kiss the flag and show I am Australian, my response was no because I don't have to be blindly nationalistic to show I love my country and that blind patriotism is something best left to right wing Americans.
