imagine being a song writer and having this song come to you in your head, wow what a trip. I wish I could hear it the way she technically intended it to sound, like with really good equipment because this song needs to be played in a different dimension. Going with the underwater theme she's created with the album, it's like you can only here it as it was meant to sound underwater or something.....I dunno.....
ew years ago two parents went out to dinner.a few hours later, the babysitter was calling to see if she could cover up the clown statue in the kid's room, the father said"Get the kids out of the house,we'll call the police we don't have a clown statue"."the clown statue" was actually a killer that escaped from jail.if you don't post this on 10 videos tonight the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand. sorry don't want this to happen.
I keep praying that the last few albums would have any signs of the magic that this album has ~ but alas ~~ although I do love some of her newer songs ~~ and please don't through things at me, I find myself keeping her 90' albums on repeat ~~ I Need a lip gloss boost :)
@glitterdust40 A fundamental problem/delusion that most us cling to is that we hope, wish, and expect our favorite artists to remain great forever. Tori was consistently brilliant from album-to-album for an entire decade. That's a good LONG run. That she wasn't included in Rolling Stone's The 90's "Grrl Power" chapter (while an m.o.r. lightweight like Sheryl Crow was) is criminal and asinine beyond belief. Rolling Stone editors: You blew it big-time, boys!
One of my all time favorite songs from Tori, from my favorite album of hers. With Tori, its very, very difficult to pick an absolute favorite, but If I had to choose it would probably be this one. But I hope no one ever makes choose....
@dekompression ---She did mention some drug use during this era. Considering some of the lyrics and the phase in her life, my thought is that she took some chemical trips while coping with miscarriage. The lines about screaming in cathedrals discusses death and grief, and looking for the beauty in the waxes & wanes of life.

Well I know .,.,.,., We're Dying
And there's No Sign of a Parachute!
Can we get a Little Grace and some elegance
Why Can't it Be Beautiful
Why Does There Gotta be a Sacrifice????
