no, conviction is not a shame for the splinter cell serie. it's just diferent, if you are a real SC fan you have to love sam's more badass approach. it's just sick to see his real rage and fury. i love it just like the other 4 games...and i'm looking forward for the 6th if they will really make it like they said.

Chaos Theory is the perfection of stealth games. Multiplay was epic, also!

Double Agent was kinda lame in his SP. But MP was also good!

Conviction ... ruined anything. Just coop is ok. Rest is like the typical mistake of "EA".

@T0PCH3D The series has been on a steady decline since it topped out with Chaos Theory, and even worse now is that the same thing looks to be happening with the new Hitman game. Nobody wants to make good stealth games anymore, it seems. At least Human Revolution had some decent stealth gameplay.

@UAintDeletingThis1 well, not very fair. Stealth changed, you cant just put out another classic SC-Game, nobody would have bought it. Sure, hardcore fans would have, but they can't finance 4 years of development. Just look back what Sam Fisher was in Conviction before: A homeless guy ranting in a park in paris. How much weirder can it get? Did you see the videos? He was just "drunkenly" beating the shit out of police officers. I'm glad for how conviction turned out to be.

@UAintDeletingThis1 Well, I think it depends. Yes, the AI had to be put down a little to make this kind of gameplay possible. It still is stealth, just another kind. I've played the first three levels so far, and I've got to say, I love to play as much stealth as I can, and finish the rest off with execute or other cool moves. Have you played the game through?

@UAintDeletingThis1 but dude there are some really good innovations in conviction. Like the last known position system, and the awesome moves. Personally the best thing i love about the game is the speed. If you ever see a spy movie like the Bourne Supremacy or Casino Royale or mission impossible. Its all based on speed, agility and stealth. The slow stealth is really good in chaos theory but it doesnt give you the ruch conviction gives you
