use index finger to bar over string G and string B for each down stroke

for each up stroke hammer on using your middle finger and the ring finger on the B string 3rd fret and D string 4th fret

then on the 8th beat the chord is

A string 2nd fret (use index finger to bar over the other strings)

D string 4th fret

B string 3rd fret

high e string 5th fret

He should have won the Grammy for 'Clarity', not 'Daughters'. There are a lot of John Mayer songs I love ,but this sends me to a separate place. This is one of the songs I have to fully concentrate on when I listen to it. I wouldn't want to wear it out by listening to it too much either. This isnt background music.
