  • Scrooge McDuck is one miserable, obnoxious, tight fisted bastard! >:(

  • who would win in a fight? Mr Krabs or Scrooge McDuck??

  • The glowing goofy wthing has wings on his ass :p

  • Van Drake is my fav character 83

  • I think Scrooge might have forgotten that family is more of a wealth than money is. That or Flintheart Glomgold finally became wealthier than Scrooge, and he's trying to get back the title of "World's Richest Duck".

  • Athen was all about culture not death and war get your history right people

  • wonder why this show was canceld i mean it's so awsome

  • HAHA, Midsummer night's dream! XD So awesome, this is so hilarious compared to the real movie! :D

  • huh?...

  • Always made in Athens as the saying goes

  • They need real music at 1:34

  • I really wish they never cancelled such a great show. Man.

  • that color red that was Walt Disney Hercules

  • Scrooge sort of went back to his original personality, didn't he?

  • Donald: (to Mickey) Welcome to MY world, Mick. At least you don't have to count 3 1/2 cubic acres of coins at 30 cents an hour!

  • Did Mickey just call Daisy Hot stuff???? O_O

Haha thanks so much posting! This is so cute! Why did Disney stop making these? Little kids have to see these :(

  • Why'd they cancel this? Seriously!!!

  • I love this show! A Midsummer Night's Dream is one of my favorites!

  • I miss this cartoon :I

  • JAW-DROP!

    John Cleese is the narrator

  • I love all the characters X33

  • "Marriage or death". Boy, talk about a strict.

  • I love John Rhys-Davies, I really do. But who here thinks it would have been better if they had got Terrance Mann and Brent Spiner to play Oberon and Puck respectively?

  • In all my days, I never expected Disney would ever conceive "Pete the Pimp"! O.O

  • ....I cracked up when Donald Daisy he doesn't like her xD sorry but I was hooked on the comics as a child and always felt sorry for Donald how Daisy would get mad at him for something he wasn't really responsible for xD

  • it was finny how mickey held up his old mickey mouse club sign to cover him! i was like lol

  • Scrooge here is more like his deeper comic book counterpart, a welcome change in my book. =)

Also, Alan Young is amazing as Scrooge, hope to hear more Scrooge from him in the future!

  • Minnie : I don't love donald I love Micky. Micky : oh gosh lol cute

  • Minnie: I don't love Donald I love Micky?!? Micky: oh gosh lol

  • I REALLY hate that Scrooge! He makes Mr. Krabs from Spongebob look generous! >:^(

  • @brainstorm623: Actually, no. In this show, they're practically similar (later season Krabs & earlier comics/later cartoons Scrooge), whereas in Ducktales, Scrooge learns a lesson about humility & yet, still amasses great wealth despite his wordly trips with his grand-nephews (the "wee lads" whom he FIRED as house band in this show for some reason or another) as an added bonus, whereas with Krabs, it was always about money or doing things for his own selfish benefit.

  • @TherealRNO Still hate him.

  • @brainstorm623: Understood.

  • @brainstorm623

They're about the same. Mr Krabs doesn't let anyone turn the ac up or down, forces them to sell moldy patties if they're there, and even worse, tries to charge his workers!!

  • @Copper20 Touché. either way, i hate him.

  • Scrooge could've stripped mickey backstage, ya know. that was just mean doing it onstage!

  • Years ago, I got a role in the library's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream." This cartoon makes me laugh.

  • Huh. Made in Athens huh..... well eveyrones clothes there are made in athens!!! XD

  • Somebody say this is on DVD or VHS!!!!!!

    I really miss it!!

    P.s

    IT'S MULAN'S CRICKET!!!!!!

  • i cant believe it they over emphasized his negative traits yet they removed his good ones.

  • 4:44 t humbs up if u thgout that was a dick the fish was sucking

  • do i see a resemblance between Zeus here with what he said at 0:15 with King Harkinian of Zelda cdi fame?

  • Scrooge REPLACED his OWN grand-nephews?! What about the family morals instilled by Ducktales? Did ol' "Mister McD" go senile?

  • 0:37:Wait a minute...Pete owns the house of mouse... 0_o Didn't see THAT one coming!

  • Who's that yellow ghost ?

  • Face palm

  • Scroge: because of busines i have bought the house of mouse.

    donald: *facepalm!* =__=

  • @xX99SilentShadowsXx: Yeah. You would think Uncle Scrooge would've learned from his days with the wee lads--Hewie, Dewy, and Louie...now turned in house band, "Quackstreet Boys" or "Squashing Pumpkins"--on Ducktales that being overly greedy has its price!

  • And this was funny

Mickey: Let's go hot stuff! kisses daisy

    Daisy: Augh!!!!!!!!

  • Awww i like that romance stuff! :) and im 11 years of age

  • Mickey was holding a sign say mickey mouse club.

  • Mickey was holding a sign said mickey mouse club

  • Poor Donald facepalmed.

  • looks like Scrooge McDuck is already proving 2 a much worse owner than Pete!

  • I like Donald's reaction when Scrooge says: "I just bought the House of Mouse!".

  • if you look closely at 4:56 you see that Donald is packing some unusual things, like a bomb, a fish, a pink shirt, a spiked club, and the MOST unusual thing: shoes!!!

  • @sonicmixer this is not a dress its that who the Greek olympian god's was wearing.!!you have no idea about mythology...:S

  • @kotopo8lobale not the toga! i meant the part where he was introducing the cartoon and he was wearing cinderella's dress! and do not tell me i don't know anything about greek mythology!

  • Eloping and forced marriage in a disney cartoon? way to go disney. lol :)

but i find it awkward that Donald chooses Minnie over Daisy... :-p

  • 8:30 "I'm your HOT STUFF!" Since when did Mickey shout stuff like that? Woot!

  • I thought Scrooge was nicer? So apparently the three ghosts didn't visit him?

  • @missawesomex10: Or he went senile. People do that, you know.

  • @mattbadboy Brian George

  • "I'm yours, hot stuff!"

    I lol'd xDD

  • Jiminy x Crick-ee

    Now THAT'S a pairing!

  • *sigh* interns lol

  • why do ppl keep getting in the way of mickey & minnie????<3soulmates<3=)

  • What upsets me is that Donald is Scrooge's nephew but he rarely speaks in this episode (not counting the Midsummer Night's Dream cartoon). They should've asked HIS advice on how to deal with his uncle...cuz no one knows better than him how cheap Scrooge can be. They have Mickey and even Goofy interact more with Scrooge than Donald! The same thing happens in House of Genius (with Ludwig) AND Music Day (with His nephews). Mickey should've let Donald handle it! Stupid glory hogging mouse!

  • @ThePaganSun I think it's because over the many years Scrooge and the boys been around, Mickey has never truly interacted with them only Donald. Same goes for Ludwig.

  • @DisneyLoveQ LOL! True, but then that just proves my point that Mickey's a glory hog. They could still have Mickey interact with them, but give Donald some say, too.

  • @mattbadboy Yeah, I know. I hope they get someone who does as good a job as he does... especially the Scottish accent. I also think it's cool that Scrooge has lived in America for so long but hasn't lost his accent.

  • @mattbadboy Alan Young is still alive and the voice of Scrooge, even though he'll be 91 this Friday. His most recent work as Scrooge, I think, is in Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep. You can find the English cutscenes here on YT.

  • i love how mickey hides behind a mickey mouse club sign :) yay for refrences!

  • john cleese is the short's narrator? that is so cool! i loved house of mouse when i was in elementary school. thanks for the memories.

  • Ha ha! Funny when Scrooge McDuck ripped off Mickey's stage costume and left him in his undies! :-)

  • Hahaha donald packs the fish..XD

  • Ah, old days. Much better than today's Disney.

  • First time I see it in ENGLISH! And Scrooge's voice is the SAME!!! (Scrooge Laugh) EH HAH HAHAH HAAAH!!! Love it!

  • awhh i miss house of mouse now im 13 n they dont play it anymore thanks YOUTUBE!!!

  • Goofy has wings on his ASS!! LOL XD

  • Mickey-Lysander

    Minnie-Hermia

    Donald-Demetrius

    Daisy-Helena

  • Man, seeing Scrooge McDuck as a villain in here is different to theScrogge Mcuck from Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, who is really nice.

  • omg all my childhood I had thought Professor Von Drake and Scrooe McDuck were the same guy. Now I realize they're not...that explains so much! LOL

Mickey: Thanks for the dress Cinderella!

    Cinderella: Oh, that old thing?

Really, Cindy? That was your mother's dress and the mice took risks and time to make it prettier for you. Way to appreciate it now. XD

  • @wizardwarrior713 Von Drake is Scrooge's Older Bropther and Donald's Uncle too.

  • @wizardwarrior713

according to the comics, Scrooge and Von Drake are brother in laws. That is how they are related to Donald.

  • @wizardwarrior713 I guess marrying the prince gave her a big head.

  • i almost wish they used the Oberon from "Gargoyles." It wouldn't have fit tonally, but you could get some humor from him interacting with Goofy.

  • Hahaha pause at 2:42. It made me giggle

  • mickey cover's himself up with the mickey mouse club sign. hahaha

  • Considering I played Hermia in our school's version of A Midsummer Nights Dream... this made me laugh so hard. To think... Minnie and I played the same character and I plan on being Minnie one day in the theme parks!

  • MAH BOI! What is he, King Harkinian!

  • I remember watching this show with my brother everyday...

Now we have Mickey House Clubhouse, but that's for 4 year olds. -_-

    ~Emma484.

  • Scrooge: From now on, I want twice the show at half the cost.

Scrooge sounds like today's entertainers in TV, Movies, Wrestling and Cartoons.

  • i use to love this show

  • Mickey is wearing a dress? give him a bow and he'd look just like Minnie!

  • @sonicmixer this is not a dress its that who the Greek olympian god's was wearing.!!you have no idea about mythology...:S

  • Comment removed

  • @kirrtaiteilija i know what a toga is! i meant the dress that cinderella gave him. (doesn't anybody watch the videos anymore?)

  • @sonicmixer nooo

  • which part do the Peter Pan characters appear?

  • did u guys know that pete was a cat?

  • I miss the kind and gentler Scrooge Mcduck from Ducktales! XC

  • XD What I love about House of Mouse is how random characters can walk onto stage freely without being stopped.

  • I Scrooge Mcduck, I love the character and this fits him perfectly as a great big thrifty spender with a heart of gold.

  • @charmy97 In this case however he let his own greed get the better of him. It always happens like that in the comics too.

  • mickey date daisy before they created minne

  • @sillyrogue12: Ummm...NO. Mickey and Minnie were created AT THE SAME TIME by Walt Disney, with input from his wife, Lillian Banks. In fact, the mice are the alter-egos of their creators, since both the creators and their created mice both separate their public lives with their private ones (as per a 1933 interview where Walt himself said the two are secretly married and the fact that Sleeping Beauty/Cinderella Castle was ACTUALLY the Disney Family Suite "once upon a time"),

  • @TherealRNO Sorry thats what my dad mine dad told me and my mom and sisters. Sorry when my family tells me something i thinks it true sorry. :'( O:)

  • @sillyrogue12: Hate to burst bubbles, but is your family a part of the Disney family? Nope. So, suffice it to say, your family was misinformed and never read any of the Disney biographies to boot, it seems.

  • @sillyrogue1: But it's okay. You're never too old to learn. Plus, there's no reason to apologize for being told misinformation if your loved ones were themselves misinformed.

  • Is there any way you could upload the "Dennis the Duck' episode?

  • Donald's father and Scrooge's brother-in-law, Quackmore, was once Scrooge's chief accountant (like Fenton Crackshell from Ducktales) and a possible heir to his vast financial empire. A particularly nasty argument resulted in a falling out between the two that never healed.

  • Ever notice how Scrooge looks exactly like Von Drake without his hat XD

  • HAHA Donald 's voice lol

  • I bet Wayne Allwine and Russi Taylor really enjoyed this romantic cartoon. They truly are Mickey and Minnie at heart. :)

  • @365rl: And Walt Elias & Lillian Banks (the DISNEYs) of course, since THEY created the mice, who are BASED OFF OF themselves. As Jim McDonald--second Mickey--told Wayne Allwine--third Mickey--"Remember, you're just filling in for the boss".

  • Plus, now that I think about it, Scrooge's outfit in this episode is redish, like in the comics. In DuckTales, Scrooge wore blue. Another clue that they were going for vintage skinflint Scrooge over the more benevolent version. Not sure the old-school humor was successfully done, though.

  • Like zeeviz said, Scrooge could be kinda harsh in his original comics. He cared about his family enough that he would rescue them if they were in danger (usually thanks to his treasure hunting), but he was never very generous either. When Donald was short on cash, he always dreaded asking Uncle Scrooge for work, because he knew the tightwad would work him to death. That said, I too rather miss his more congenial DuckTales attitude in his more recent appearances.

  • If you observe, each Disney character represents a specific aspect of life. For example, Scrooge McDuck represents money and the business world as the head of McDuck Enterprises. Ludwig von Drake represents knowledge and science as a university professor and lecturer.

  • Old lovely days...

  • isn't Scrooge Mcduck also Von Drake?

  • @Gamewhiz321 no

  • @Gamewhiz321 no.... scrooge and von drake are donalds uncles

  • @Gamewhiz321 Scrooge is donald's Uncle by blood. Von Drake married Scrooge's sister making him an uncle by marriage. Von Drake is German and Scrooge's family comes from Scotland.

  • @Gamewhiz321 No, but even I used to get them confused at first. XD

  • Very Cool.

  • cool, my fave Shakespeare play!

  • I love house of mouse!!!!! Where did it go??? :(

  • My favorite part was the part where the King Fairy confused Puck with the Old English language. XD

(speaks in some random Old English language)

    "Huh?"

"His clothes are made in Athens!"

    "Oh!"

  • Love that duck ^^ 2:42 (I forget his name. It's been since I was 5 since I've watched this XD)

  • uncle scrooge/oom dagobert rules

  • von drake : talk about strict

    ye think !!!!!!!!!

  • Why did Donald want Minnie?

  • @joshualiu1993 They were under a magic spell.

  • "Wow! Talk about strict!" XD

    I love that part!

  • scrooge is kinda ruined in this one..even thou he is scrooge he still has a heart :|

  • When are you gonna upload more House Of Mouse episodes?

  • LOLZ " Mickeys wearing his mondy undys on the wrong day."

  • Electricity isn't for free,you know !

    Mickey inserts a coin,yeah,yeah...

  • @p6mkq That seems counter-proctive if you ask me.

  • Mickey:Thanks for the thunderbolt,Zeus

    Zeus:No problem,young man :D

  • Actually he said "No problem, my boy!"

Which I guess means this episode is now a likely source for a YouTube Poop.

  • I prefer Duck Tales Scrooge,

but this Scrooge is true to his name :D

  • @p6mkq DUCK TAILS whoo hoo

  • *sigh* interns

  • I love Scrooge McDuck! I am Greek and in Europe, Svrooge is one of the best characters! But he isn't bad! He is depicted completely wrong here!

  • Am I the only one who finds it upsetting that Scrooge fired his own grandnephews?! I mean, that's a rather nasty way to repay the kids who helped him search for all those treasures back in the comics and "DuckTales". And they were the ones he picked as the heirs to his fortune, too! Something terrible must have happened between 1994 and 2001 if it made Scrooge so sour that he doesn't even love "the wee lads" anymore.

  • Well, his first appearances were little bit hars too. So maybe Scrooge has gone back in the very old days. There where money matters more than others. Its fun to see Scrooge like that, in my opinion. But maybe they continue ducktales someday, or maybe Scrooge just gets his ducktales personality back again.

  • @zeeviz

Makes sense , but I like Duck Tales Scrooge better

  • @FroggoFan64

in the comics donald works for scrooge and only gets 5 cent a hour.

  • @FroggoFan64 Yeah, this show wasn't always very good at keep everyone in character. They once made Chernabog, the Devil himself, publicly say to Clarabelle "I..I'm afraid of the dark! There, I said it!"

  • @FroggoFan64 Actually, personalities in the "House of Mouse" are based on the traditional Disney comics. If this is so, the events of Ducktales never happened in the timeline of "House of Mouse". Don't forget that media entertainment is subject to many changes over the decades.

  • @rcldragon Is that why Chip 'n Dale never brought Gadget and/or Monterey Jack to see the show with them, or why Baloo never came in his pilot outfit? For that matter, is that also why we never saw ANYONE from other Disney TV cartoons at the House?

  • @FroggoFan651 That's correct. Continuity is also not an important issue in "House of Mouse". For example, Iago alternately appears as both a hero and a villain when it suits the needs of the plot. Ariel also appears as both a mermaid and a human at different times. The idea of this show is to create entertaining crossovers in addition to re-runs of more recent cartoons. Most of the attention is given to Mickey and his friends due to their "first-among-equals" status in all Disney animation.

  • @rcldragon definately. Scrooge was REALLY nasty when he first appeared in the comics. Why, he was nasty to Donald for the sake of it for a while. I remember reading there was to be a series of Scrooge cartoons in the 50's that were never made, but they simplified him into a very greedy character, seems like that's what they're doing here.

  • @mightyfilm Yes man!

  • @rcldragon

Scrooge's characterization varies by writer. He was pretty nasty, if not downright antagonistic, in his early appearances, as well as in some of the comics by lesser known authors. He got a little nicer in the mid-late fifties; still a penny pinching miser, but now at least had a code of morals when it came to business family.

  • @FroggoFan64 In the comics scrooge is exacly like this! And i love it!!!!!

But i agree with you about firing his grandnephews.

  • @FroggoFan64 Well the "Ducktales" cartoon made Scrooge McDuck more "soft around the edges" than that in the original Carl Barks comics. Not that he was heartless or mean in the comics, but a less "soft" than in that cartoon.

Anyhow, man House of Mouse was a good cartoon, too bad Mickey's next project would be the awful "Dora ripoff" known as "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse."

  • @Musiclover19

if anything, Flintheard Glomgold is even worse than Scrooge! glad Scrooge did get soft in ducktales... and this episode isn't even canon otherwise it would explain why Ariel is either human or mermaid.

  • @TechnoHajikelist Too true, too true. The House of Mouse isn't meant to be in "canon" with other Disney cartoons or comics, it's just a series of enjoyable cartoons, which it indeed was.

  • @FroggoFan64 I'm sure it's nothing personal Froggo, ol' Scroogy's just cutting corners to save money. Plus, after they left at the end of DuckTales, along with Mrs. Beakley & Webbigale, things went back to normal for Scrooge and he fell back into his covetous miserie ways.

  • @UltimateThanos They left? Even Webby and Mrs. Beakley? I recently finished watching the whole series and I don't remember them leaving...
