@davidhertzberg David, thanks for the kind comment. It means a lot coming from someone with such a strong appreciation of (and dedication to the promotion of) classical music.
Hey that last trill is not in my score! But it sounded great :)
Very precise, very heartfelt (if that word makes sense). I recommend you the Sonatine pour Yvette by Xavier Montsalvatge, a catalan (spanish) composer, especially the last movement. It sounds more contemporary but you might like it enough to try it.
@Masbirreo Ha! Busted! I kept hearing that last ornament in my head so I decided to add it. Thanks for the nice comments and the recommendation. I'm looking for some new Spanish music. I'll check out Montsalvatge.
Superb interpretation - very well thought-out concept. I think your dyamics are spot-on - the somewhat brittle nature of the recording is more the result of the live studio acoustics, not your playing. It can be difficult for a non-Spaniard to capture the nuances of their music - you have done it successfully in this piece.
This is a superb interpretation of a piece that is not heard enough in live performance. Thank you for this wonderful presentation in both musicality and sound quality. Ben
Nice job! I think your pianissimos need to be more pianissimo and the left hand somewhat more marked. I've been trying to duplicate Alicia's performance of this piece for years, and that's what she told me when I played it for her.
I've been sitting here just watching your videos one after the other, they're all spot on.
