Hi, normally I see botox just being injected. But in this case, there not only seems to be a wire attached to the needle, but also a loud humming/whooshing type noise whenever the doctor begins injecting. I was wondering if you could shed any light on the wire and the whooshing sound. Thanks
In meanwhile, I read in Wikipedia about blepharospasm, and found out that some medication could cause this eyes problem. All medication which are on base benzodiazapine causing this condition..I was on Lorazapame from almost 3 years and this culd be the reason why I developed this condition. I stopped taking them along with all others, hoping my eyes condition will improve...I can just hope and pray to God...because my eyes condition is very serious and make me depressed, iratible and fun. blind
I have a very severe condition of blepharospasm. My eyes were completely closed and I couldn't open my eyes for 3 months waiting to get botox injection..First time I got 60 units of botox..It helped me just 10% comparing how it was before the botox..I was very disappointed...After 3 months, I got another set of botox, this time 86 units...This time my eye muscles were much better, but it is still far from normal..
Soon, I am going to get a third set of a botox, and this time doctor will inject me 90 units and 10 units around my nose because I also developed some facial movement. One hour before this procedure, I always apply EMLA, which is topical anesthetic. I buy it in the drugstore and cost CND11 dollars. Due to this cream, I've never felt any pain or burning during or after this procedure. My doctor uses BOTOX, TYPE A...Hopefully, this will help to someone.
