@taoistflyer , I like the review. I have just bought this heli myself and i really like it, but is there anyway i can bind this heli with my esky honeybee v2 transmitter? I would really appreciate an answer :)
Hate to break it to you but that is not mode 1, that is mode 4, mode 1 has throttle on the right stick not the left. And plus US people do fly mode 1, its not unique to the places you mentioned.
I just received mine. I charged it with the usb into my pc. After only a few minutes the usb indicator already turned off. I tried to swittch on the heli but nothing. No flashing lights, nothing. So either it wasn't charged yet or it is broken I guess... Just my luck... I just plugged it back into the pc and then again after a minute or so the USB light turns off, indicating it it done charging and again nothing happens when i switch the helicopter on. Any suggestions anyone?
@knarghel Usually even without charging the helicopter the lights will turn on when you turn on the helicopter, these batteries should never be allowed to run all the way down, if they do run all the way down it damages them. If their is no power going through it then their may be a problem with the battery the battery may be dead or have a bad connection, Did you try charging with the transmitter.

I have to agree with you there, modes get very confusing. In Europe we fly mode 2 mainly now, but still I know alot of people that fly mode 1 still(all over 60 years old). But if you get into bigger helicopters or planes, then you get your own transmitters and you are able to swap modes on some!
I'm pretty sure that this transmitter is capable of changing modes. The one for my 4-channel Drift King is. With the control off, turn power on heli. Then press and hold both buttons in at the top while turning on control. While still holding buttons in, try throttle to "bind" control to heli. Do this while standing appx 5' from heli. Hope it works because this is to be the next heli added to my "fleet"!

my one is blue and i got it for $50 and mine is mode 2 its easer to fly but i cracht at my first flyt but its ok its a verry good helicopter for the size

I like the control scheme of this one because the rolling right and left waste so much battery with the extra motors and I just choose not to use it and with in on the throttle side it works out great.
I just got a Protocol Skyline (Brand) midsize R/C helicopter and it flies well but was 80 freakin' dollars including tax. Should i just buy this one? really all I need to know is if protocol is a shitty brand or not. I got it at future shop and i'll bet if I crash it and screw it up they won't take it back... Should I return it before I crash it before im $80 in the hole?
@Glichster13 From my own experience with it ,Protocol is not a good brand.You could also read the reviews others have written about it.I recommend Syma S032.Or Double Horse.They're both around 20-60$.Most of them are fairly large too=D.Hope this helped.
I'm new to RC helos, and I got this model for Xmas but ended up returning it for a larger model because I couldn't get it to hover. I find the new model (more than twice as big) handles exactly the same. Is it always a constant battle to get them to hover in the air, on a 'holding pattern' as you say?
Nevermind, it flys forwards and backwards much better now. It turns out the tail rotor was a bit broken, so I replaced it and now it's much better. But still, are the two side propellers (in the wing-things) supposed to rotate, or are they for looks? If they're supposed to rotate, how could I fix it? Thanks in advance!
I got this helicopter, and it worked great... for the first flight. Now, the side propellers (on each wing-thing) won't rotate. I haven't crashed it badly at all, but all of a sudden it will barely move forward. All of the other directions (up, down, left, right, clockwise and counter-clockwise) work great, though. Any suggestions on how to fix it, or what's wrong with it? PLEASE REPLY!
@taoistflyer, I Have this exact Helicopter, ive never owned one before, I crashed it abit and it worked fine, but this morning, it stopped working, i turn it on and the blades spin for about 10 seconds or less, then stop and it may get 3 ft off the ground, then stop, please help if you can
@naturalisgreat I had the same problem and I realized the motor shaft drive cog was missing. By sheer luck found it on the carpet. Unscrewed the underneath of the heli and got it back in place again. Flew it again and it took a slight Knock and the cog came dislodged again, rotor stopped. Unscrew the underneath see if the cogs ( they're very small, about 4mm) are still there. should be one for top rotor and one for the bottom. If this is not the problem than I don't know. Good luck

I just got mine today, don't quite know what the problem is but it is fully charged and yet the lights on the copter won't turn on and it won't respond to the controller. Doesn't seem like there is any interference with the signal, i tried it on all frequencies. It feels like the problem may be the switch, it doesn't feel like i'm actually affecting any circuit when i push it, merely feels like i'm bending soft plastic or metal. Any ideas?
@enragedcrow you're probably not actually turning the chopper on. the on switch is a little clear switch directly below the charging outlet. not the black plastic thing. thats what i thought it was too. do you have any idea how to make the red led light come on the transmitter or how to change the frequency of the chopper?
@3kickitx OH, that really small square piece, yeah, that turns it on. By the red light on the transmitter do you mean the small LED signifying power or do you mean the ones on the front? I got the power light on and obviously know how to change the frequency on the transmitter, but don't know how to change the copter's frequency, is there another microscopic switch?
@enragedcrow the one at the top thats supposed to be like a steady light? cause i have the power one on and the chopper on but thats as far as i got. i think the frequency for the chopper is the thing you were talking about earlier....that black thing. but i've had no luck matching them up. :( we emailed the company so hopefully they can help..
Okay so i got the avatar drone...the transmitter LED light doesn't ever turn on. its supposedly fully charged and the helicopter is on....but i have NO CLUE what the frequency setting of the chopper is or how to change it. that could be the problem. PLEASE HELP
@3kickitx turn the helicopter on first, then turn on the transmitter, when the transmitter is turned on it automatically calibrates the helicopter to the frequency that you have selected on the transmitter.
is that a good one for a bigginner to start with even if i don't know anything about rc helicopters? an is it that hard to fly? and what its flight time?
@hakim0744 It's decent for beginners but a traditional heli like the blade MCX is much better. it's pretty easy to fly, flight time is about 5 minutes because it's so heavy.

My son got a 4 - Channel R/C Infrared Controlled Helicopter for Xmas, it looks identical to the one in your clip. It didn't come with instructions, what we don't understand is once it's turned on and the controller is on we don't know how to get it to go, it seems that we stand there looking at it for ages and all of a sudden it goes up which we then can controll......But we don't know how we are getting the chopper to start???? Please help an Aussie beginner!
@thetarpman Make sure you aren't trying to fly it outside because the infra red signal will be blocked by the sun or bright lights. on this helicopter the left stick controls throttle and left right motion and the right stick controls spin and forward reverse.

@MrDivad006 As you saw, it only spins to alter the pitch of the helicopter, nose down or up which causes the copter to fly forward or back, likewise the side blades alters it pitch, either one side down or the other. With just the main rotors spinning, imagine a column of air supporting the helicopter, it will stay in one place. To get it to move in a particular directing you need to tilt it in that direction tilting the air coloumn pushing it in that direction. They operate when needed
Hi there, ive got the same helicopter and i recently crashed it. Nothing serious but now the bottom blades do not spin at all. Only the top blades, side rotors and tail rotors work. Could you please help me with this?
guys i really need some help i have the exact same model but the top blade doent spin could someone tell me why is this happening i have to say that i just bought it and that it has been charged for over an hour!
@berdgar what you have to do is take off the plastic cockput and one of the metal side panels covering the rotor cog wheels. You will see two large, horizontally placed cog wheels one above the other the top one controls the spin of the top rotor, you will notice that a smaller cog wheel coming straight from the electric motor is not aligned with the top large cog. Just use a screwdriver to re-aligne it and that's it!
I bought 2 of these on amazon and when they arrived they were F103 types. Not the Z008 so be sure you check the remote before you buy one if you want this type. I sent mine back and reordered the Z008 model from another seller. Just a word of caution.
I stabilized my first piccoz's counterclockwise-rotation with a little paper from the body to the tail,along the whole tail boom to opposite the movement by the air friction. Can it block this little counterclockwise rotation?
@MrStupidjoker you may just need to set the trim on the transmitter until it stops spinning but one of the tiny gears on one of the motors may have a crack in it. watch my video how to repair your rc helicopter to see how to replace the gear, you may not be able to see the crack but it may be their causing the rotor to stick when it turns.
I saw this video about a month ago and jumped on ebay and order two of them I got them for about $20.00 each and I just got one in today and talk about fun I been flying it all day crashed it a ton of times and it's still flying great Lol for 20 bucks you cant have this much fun!! Only down side is it took for ever to get it!! PS hey guys he makes flying it look ez but the man's got skills!!

@scottgsxr1000 The E-flight blade MSR is what you want. if you can fly a t rex then you have the skills to really enjoy it and it will be your new best indoor friend. I love mine.

I just got mine today, don't quite know what the problem is but it is fully charged and yet the lights on the copter won't turn on and it won't respond to the controller. Doesn't seem like there is any interference with the signal, i tried it on all frequencies. It feels like the problem may be the switch, it doesn't feel like i'm actually affecting any circuit when i push it, merely feels like i'm bending soft plastic or metal. Any ideas?

@enragedcrow you're probably not actually turning the chopper on. the on switch is a little clear switch directly below the charging outlet. not the black plastic thing. thats what i thought it was too. do you have any idea how to make the red led light come on the transmitter or how to change the frequency of the chopper?

@3kickitx OH, that really small square piece, yeah, that turns it on. By the red light on the transmitter do you mean the small LED signifying power or do you mean the ones on the front? I got the power light on and obviously know how to change the frequency on the transmitter, but don't know how to change the copter's frequency, is there another microscopic switch?

@enragedcrow the one at the top thats supposed to be like a steady light? cause i have the power one on and the chopper on but thats as far as i got. i think the frequency for the chopper is the thing you were talking about earlier....that black thing. but i've had no luck matching them up. :( we emailed the company so hopefully they can help..

Okay so i got the avatar drone...the transmitter LED light doesn't ever turn on. its supposedly fully charged and the helicopter is on....but i have NO CLUE what the frequency setting of the chopper is or how to change it. that could be the problem. PLEASE HELP

@3kickitx turn the helicopter on first, then turn on the transmitter, when the transmitter is turned on it automatically calibrates the helicopter to the frequency that you have selected on the transmitter.

@hakim0744 It's decent for beginners but a traditional heli like the blade MCX is much better. it's pretty easy to fly, flight time is about 5 minutes because it's so heavy.

@hakim0744 Most helis fly for about 5-10 minutes and charge for about 20-60 minutes
gas helicopters can fly for much much longer. 8 min is about average on most electric helis.

G'day,
My son got a 4 - Channel R/C Infrared Controlled Helicopter for Xmas, it looks identical to the one in your clip. It didn't come with instructions, what we don't understand is once it's turned on and the controller is on we don't know how to get it to go, it seems that we stand there looking at it for ages and all of a sudden it goes up which we then can controll......But we don't know how we are getting the chopper to start???? Please help an Aussie beginner!

@thetarpman Make sure you aren't trying to fly it outside because the infra red signal will be blocked by the sun or bright lights. on this helicopter the left stick controls throttle and left right motion and the right stick controls spin and forward reverse.

@MrDivad006 As you saw, it only spins to alter the pitch of the helicopter, nose down or up which causes the copter to fly forward or back, likewise the side blades alters it pitch, either one side down or the other. With just the main rotors spinning, imagine a column of air supporting the helicopter, it will stay in one place. To get it to move in a particular directing you need to tilt it in that direction tilting the air coloumn pushing it in that direction. They operate when needed

Hi there, ive got the same helicopter and i recently crashed it. Nothing serious but now the bottom blades do not spin at all. Only the top blades, side rotors and tail rotors work. Could you please help me with this?

@berdgar charge time though usb is quicker, but still about an hour.
if one of the rotors doesn't spin it may be unplugged or un soldered.

@berdgar what you have to do is take off the plastic cockput and one of the metal side panels covering the rotor cog wheels. You will see two large, horizontally placed cog wheels one above the other the top one controls the spin of the top rotor, you will notice that a smaller cog wheel coming straight from the electric motor is not aligned with the top large cog. Just use a screwdriver to re-aligne it and that's it!

FAST ADVISE: in Italy there is a great success of the new GW Xieda 9958. It is relly cheap but all the users say that it is a great microHeli.
Let's try it if you can...it cost about 25€ but is compared to the E-flite microHeli

I bought 2 of these on amazon and when they arrived they were F103 types. Not the Z008 so be sure you check the remote before you buy one if you want this type. I sent mine back and reordered the Z008 model from another seller. Just a word of caution.

I stabilized my first piccoz's counterclockwise-rotation with a little paper from the body to the tail,along the whole tail boom to opposite the movement by the air friction. Can it block this little counterclockwise rotation?

@MrStupidjoker you may just need to set the trim on the transmitter until it stops spinning but one of the tiny gears on one of the motors may have a crack in it. watch my video how to repair your rc helicopter to see how to replace the gear, you may not be able to see the crack but it may be their causing the rotor to stick when it turns.

I saw this video about a month ago and jumped on ebay and order two of them I got them for about $20.00 each and I just got one in today and talk about fun I been flying it all day crashed it a ton of times and it's still flying great Lol for 20 bucks you cant have this much fun!! Only down side is it took for ever to get it!! PS hey guys he makes flying it look ez but the man's got skills!!
