@mrroyfurious The sidebar has been there for a while. It's just that it was always hidden under 'more options' and you had to expand it to use it. Now it's expanded by default.

You're right, it does kind of remind me of Bing - but Google will always be more popular... Bing can't trademark the sidebar.... It's everywhere!

Microsoft was first with it for search engines... Nevertheless, Bing still has the feature where you hover the mouse over the right side result (the will be sortof an arrow there), and this pop-up comes up to give more info about the result, including related links to that specific result.

Not the most popular, but still the best looking and most in-depth in my book :)

It looks slightly different to me - colors are also changed, loading times are quicker, and the interface has slightly more animation with clicks, drags, and highlighting.
