  • is this no longer beta?

  • @wlchambers That is correct.

  • 5000th viewer!!!

  • How did you get Chrome to not disable visual styles, like oy see the Aero on my Theme I have the same theme as you ,but mines doesnt have the Aero yours has.

  • the javascript thing doesn't work

  • The new google looks like Bing for me

  • What Google Chrome theme is that? Please answer as soon as possible it looks very nice.

  • A definite first, Google copies Microsoft search instead of the othere way around. Bing it!

  • @mrroyfurious The sidebar has been there for a while. It's just that it was always hidden under 'more options' and you had to expand it to use it. Now it's expanded by default.

  • they copied yahoo! just take a look~

  • @KingNikoJr Google can do pretty much whatever they want now =]

  • You have to input the code again, the same way as if you were disabling it.

  • thank you! i hated the new theme and i wanted it gone thanks so much for this

  • whats the theme called for chrome?

  • its not working for me, a little help please, i even got ride of the spaces.

  • @MrBibi86 Try gettin ghte link directly from Gizmodo - no spaces there =]

  • Thanks for this video. I really like the new interface.

  • Just go to google(dot)com/ncr instead of having to put all that.

  • This works if you're outside the U.S.

  • Wait what i said or what you said to do?

  • If you meant your way what country do you live in?

  • I live in the US and that doesn't work here.

  • Really because i live in the US and it works for me?

  • the direct copy+paste in the description messes up the code you have to put in the address bar.. click the gizmodo link if you want the working code

  • Yeah, you unfortunately get a few spaces - at least someone took the time to read the description!

  • i cant disable it... help please

  • Clear your cookies.

  • You can also re-enter the code again to disable it.

  • i don't think it works for the people in the uk. it doesn't for me.

  • Check out the video response for working this in other countries.

  • NVM I did it! :)

  • Awesome, glad it worked!

  • i cant get mines to work :(

  • With which browser?

  • google chrome :) i got it working i forgot to remove one of the spaces oh and dood your like a celeb u were on cris pirillo thats how i found u

  • Perfect! I wouldn't call my self a celebrity lol but thanks for watching my videos!

  • I'm using it in Safari as well :)

  • Selected, copied and pasted the code into my URL using Firefox. Nothing happened.

  • That's not all the steps! You need to go back to Google in a new tab or Window for it to work.

  • Not working for me

  • You missed the spaces. Get the code directly form the Gizmodo link in the description.

  • Dosn't work for me.

  • You missed the spaces. Get the code directly form the Gizmodo link in the description.

  • still don't work!

  • If you follow the instructions exactly as shown in the video it should work perfectly! It's working for me now :)

  • This is awesome.

  • Thanks for the feedback - glad you liked it!

  • Do you use Windows 7 or Windows Vista?

  • Vista in this video.

  • im using internet explorer 7

  • It's working for you, right?

  • no it doesnt work

  • Did you get the code from the description or Gizmodo? Try getting it straight from the Gizmodo link in the description. Then go back to Google and it should work!

  • i did and it still dont work

  • Hmmm... are you sure you followed the instructions exactly as I did in the video? Try using a different internet browser, such as Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. It's working in every browser for me!

  • The first thing I thought when I saw that new thing on the left was "Bing!". Looks like Bing has looked like from the very beginning. Wonder if they'll rip off the video and photo search as well...

  • You're right, it does kind of remind me of Bing - but Google will always be more popular... Bing can't trademark the sidebar.... It's everywhere!

  • Microsoft was first with it for search engines... Nevertheless, Bing still has the feature where you hover the mouse over the right side result (the will be sortof an arrow there), and this pop-up comes up to give more info about the result, including related links to that specific result.

Not the most popular, but still the best looking and most in-depth in my book :)

  • I agree 100%!

  • don't work in Firefox! Oo

  • It's working for me right now! Make sure to remove all spaces from the code.

  • @marquesbrownlee

It's probably either the version - i'm using 3.7a1pre, or a javascript setting.

  • I'd just suggest a different browser, then - perhaps Safari or Opera.

  • wow ty for sharing marques is there any way to set it has a homepage?

  • Setting Google as your homepage will make this work, every time :)

  • I've tried this a dozen times half a dozen different ways... still doesn't work. (I'm on Chrome btw)

  • bleh ok, it works in Explorer. looks cool, but I don't like how the video search no longer has a way to watch videos on that page...

  • Nice - glad you got it to work. There are a lot of other noticeable changes and nice improvements!

  • it does work. make sure that there's no spaces in the url. and let it load.

  • Yep - it's easier to go directly to the Gizmodo link for the code with no spaces.

  • yeah it works on IE, I just can't get it to work on Chrome...

  • its dont work

  • For what browser? It's working for me now!

  • didn't work for me either

  • Make sure to remove the spaces!

  • I did, then i tried it in IE and it worked fine. kinda weird

  • Oh - well at least it's working for you now :)

  • Wow man.

    Great deal.

    I love it!

  • You like it? I love that it's much faster!

  • Ya. I said I loved it too. I use it all of the time.

  • Nice!

  • The options at the left are also able to see on normal google. click on show options in the upper left corner.

  • Nice find :)

  • doesnt work for me removed space everything done right :(

  • Try taking the code directly from the Gizmodo link in the description.

  • Does not work, i don;t know what is wrong, but good video.

  • It works fine! Just make sure you remove the spaces because of the line breaks in the description.

  • Thanks, you da man!

  • it did not work . i even pushed enter 10 times and checked all spaces were deleted... please help!

  • What browser are you using?

  • safari. i might try to use ie 8...

    UPDATE:

    it didn't work with ie8.

*NOTE: I don't have access to firefox or google chrome*

  • Try getting the code directly from the Gizmodo link in the description - this will eliminate the need to remove spaces (You might've missed a few)

  • cool... thanks marques!

  • No problem - glad you like it!

  • No problem, glad this helped.

    Thanks for rating!

  • Sweet, thanks for telling about this. Im using it from now on. I like the layout.

  • Awesome! Glad you like it - I'm using it as well.

  • Nice!

  • isnt this (javascript)sidebar exactly the same you get if you click in the "normal google"-site on the "show options" +-icon?

  • It looks slightly different to me - colors are also changed, loading times are quicker, and the interface has slightly more animation with clicks, drags, and highlighting.

  • Hmmm, does not work dude, nice video though.

  • You have to remember to remove all three spaces form the code in the description, or get it directly from the Gizmodo link in the description.

  • It dont work here :(

  • What browser are you using?

  • firefox

  • Try it first on Chrome - just to make sure you follow all the instructions 100% correctly.

  • i just tried it still nothin :(

    maybe cause im in uk?

  • Possibly - but it doesn't seem like they would make this US only...

Try getting the code directly from the Gizmodo link in the description.

  • thanks it worked from Gizmodo :)

  • Awesome, glad it worked - enjoy!

  • Nice video, lol. I liked the intro!!!

  • Thanks - glad you liked it!

  • how do i disable the script

  • This can be disabled with a simple reboot.

  • rebooting your computer because i shut down my pc and when is started up my pc again and open firefox again its still the same

  • Really? Hmmm... I shut down yesterday and booted up today and it was back to normal. Maybe instead of a reboot, shut down, wait a second, then start up again.

  • my computer was shutdown over night and i started it up on the morning and it was the same

btw i don't mind if google looks like that

  • That's kind of weird that it switched back for me - well enjoy the new faster Google! lol

  • you can disable it if you enter the script again

  • Oh, really? Nice - I'll put this in the description.

    Nice find.

  • :) :)

  • Thanks, nice video.

  • No problem - I hope you like it!

  • Dude you rock

  • Thanks - glad you liked this one :)

  • Bing is better.

  • Ya really think so? I think no matter how powerful or popular Bing gets, it's going to have trouble taking down Google!

  • Google will always be the top search engine but Bing is still better IMO I used to use Google all the time but switched prefer the layout of Bing.

  • I can respect that - in my opinion Google is a bit faster though, and will provide more expansive and more accurate search results.

  • for google chrome, you can use the link as google search in case you guys don't know XD

  • True!

  • i dont think this works on macs :(

  • Really? Hmmm... You've tried it on a Mac and it doesn't work?

  • Yes sadly i was looking forward to trying it ;(

  • You can still try it, it's working for me now!

  • Sounds like Google is trying to counter Microsoft's Bing. Thanks for the video.

  • It does look quite a bit like Bing, doesn't it?

  • Even if Bing is getting a lot of attention, it's quite obvious that Google will be remaining at the top for a long while.

  • Very true - it's by far the most powerful search engine out there - and hence the most popular!

It'll take a while for Bing to catch up.

  • You should do a speed test between safari , Mozilla and google chrome

  • That's a great video idea - The three most popular browsers at the moment!

  • awesome !

  • Pretty awesome, eh? Gotta love Google!

  • i have google chrome and it searches the code what do i do?

  • Make sure you remove all the spaces from the code before you hit enter.

  • i did but in google chrome when you type in the URL bar i googles it that why i'm wondering how to make it not google it? and i did take all that spaces out.

  • Try it in Firefox instead. Once you get it working in 1 browser, it is universal for all the other browsers on your machine :)

  • ok thank you! =]

  • Very nice man!!! I like it!!! Pretty cool Very easy to move around

  • Yep - I like the slightly changed interface - and a noticeable speed difference, too!

  • go through the code when its in your browser and delete all the spaces you see it worked for me =)

  • Yep! Works perfectly :)

  • it doesnt work for me :(

  • Be sure to delete spaces in the code, then restart the browser. It should work!

  • oh lol dude iwas like fuck this then i open google for something and it worked lol

  • It works when I do this, yep :)

  • tried with your code and gizmodo.. didn't work.

  • The Gizmodo code seems to be working for everyone in the comments there.

  • doesn't work

  • Be sure to remove the spaces.

  • not working for me?

  • Which browser are you using?

  • it won't work

  • For which browser? I'm using Chrome in this video.

  • first i used Flock (Another Version Of Firefox) Then I Tryed Google Chrome, Nether Worked

  • Make sure you remove the spaces form the code.

  • i did

  • it looks cool tbh
