  • What code of Peco track do you use ? 75 or 100

  • @goldcoastrailway Code 100, due to some of my older stock's wheels having a deeper flange depth.

  • @ay76 but on the video of it after it had been to olivias, was that stil the sound by bachmann or did u have it reblown with olivias own sound

  • @infernodood3 For the differance see the video i did, showing it with fitted with the bass reflex speaker. This video seen here, is as supplied straight out of the box. In the other video, the sound is by bachmann.

  • the sound coming out of that 37 at 0:10 at the time was that olivias sound? and is it refurbished or unrefurbished

  • @infernodood3 It's standard Bachmann with factory fitted sound decoder & speaker. I've had it since re fitted with bass reflex speaker & tweeter speaker (by olivia's). Refurbished.

  • Dude wat is the controller caalled:D!-->?

  • Elite by Hornby.

  • question . . .

wwirth dc u had to buy a controller for each line didnt u?

iss that tht same with dcc

  • With DC yes you'd need a separate controller for each line, or make each into block sections & use cab control. With DCC you only need the one controller ( or base station) to control the whole layout. The loco's on DCC have to have a decoder fitted for it to work on DCC. You can how ever run a DC non fitted loco on DCC (not really recommended, as it would cause damage to the motor over time). With DCC you can run as many loco's as the controller has power for.

  • If the train is making the sounds, does it run on battries or what?

  • No, it is running the same way a normal train does - power from the rails, but it has a special DCC chip and a speaker inside it. Nice video btw!

  • Thank you, cheers.

  • how do you instal power clips for points?

  • The Hornby ones?

  • yes, or any other

  • what wire do u use for wiring ur points

  • It was what my local model shop supplied me.Peco do wire packs for points etc.Check with your local model shop or some where like maplins.I'll get back to you shortly with some more info.Cheers.

  • Go for this size 16/0.2 wire also can be used for a wiring bus on DCC.Cheers.

  • Many thanks mate.I'll have to look into get the 50's kitted out with on board sound, then it'll be Hell fire time :-) cheers.

  • So cool, this is prob my favorite one 5 stars! Are you gonna make one where you show the Elite as well? cheers m8! its only gonna get better and better!

  • Hi mate & many thanks.Yes that's all in hand & will be coming shortly.Cheers

  • have u got the Hornby elite?

    nice vid by the way

  • Thank you.Yes this is all been controlled by the Hornby Elite, except the points as they haven't been converted. The points are still been powered by the Hornby HM4000 DC controller.Cheers

  • have you had any problems with your HM4000? if not you're a lucky guy with one of the few working models, I'm in the middle of stripping mine down to try and fix it :(

  • Guess what, the one seen in some these video's is my 2nd one. And unfortunately it looks like the left hand side is going up the swanny like the 1st one did. Think there was a fault or some thing on the design :-(. Now i'm on DCC the HM4000 has been retired to it's box. Cheers.

  • yeah from what I've heard it had some serious design faults and even hornby can't fix them, I've heard of some people on their #7 controller. Its my left channel thats gone too, but I'm determined to figure out what exactly is faulty, I'll let ya know when I figure it out...

  • There is a guy some where in the midlands that dose repairs on these.Thing is i can't recall who it is that does it. I do sem to remember now, he'd figured out what was actually at fault on them.

  • I managed to fix my HM4000 controller. The main Power MOSFET for the left channel (is another for the right channel) has a large heatsink on it, which had managed to bend the commponent enough to break the solder clean off. So i simply re-soldered it and hey presto, works, pretty hard taking the unit apart and a pain in the ass putting it back together though, so I'd only attempt it if you really want to spend some time on it.

  • Many thanks for that. Did you take any photo's of it while working on it for ref at all? Cheers.

  • no problem, damn, no i didn't, what a good idea that would have been...

  • Not to worry, cheers.

  • nice video. sounds good! Cheers 5*

  • Hi mate, hope this has wetted your appetite for the on board sound 66 :-) cheers.

  • Nice sound. Those new spine wagons in view again I see. I want some of those.

  • Hi mate.Actually this was filmed just before the Spine wagons where released. Those you see here are the Bachmann intermodals. The spine wagons are great hope you get to ad some to your fleet soon :-)They are just a bit nice!! cheers.

  • brilliant mate wish i could fit the sound to my o-gauge 37!

  • Thank you.I'm sure you'd be able to get one of the DCC sound decoders from Howes etc for your O gauge 37.Those o gauge 37's are well cool, I'd have one in the large logo me thinks.Cheers

  • again Iain your video is awesome!

  • Many thanks, cheers

  • Thrash My Beuty, Thrash To Daddy !
