  • Im stealing one of these before the world ends.

  • How many channels it has?3 or 6?

  • Can someone please tell me how to connect my hughes and kettner triamp mk 2 to the CC 412 WA 30 using the speaker cables?

  • omg so expensive but it have everithing we have in an amp....thanks....

  • how much did you pay for??....or give me the price list....greetings from México my friend....

    atte. René Montt

  • Hi! I think I paid around 3300 usd for and used amp in great condition (shipping included).

  • @visiondanndotcom Thats really expensive for a used TriAmp! Alot of times you can see them for about 2500, sometimes less, now. I've seen NEW duotones for as little as 1800.

  • Forgot to mention the 4x12 cab is another 1000 usd in Europe. So, overall the price was around 4300 usd (amp+cam+shipping)

  • Dude this amp ROASTSS

  • Wow, this is awesome, have wanted one of these for ages. Only just noticed the price though, am thinking of a black star series one

  • Yeah, it is pricy, but worth the money. It is an inspiring amp, awesome looking and sounding ... I have a bunch of MESA's, H&K'ss (preamps and amps). Each thing has it's character - the TriAmp too.

  • with this amp Could I throw all my drive pedals away?

  • You will still need the delay, chorus etc. So, don't throw nothing away. Just experiment with all you have and reach your tone. Actually - THE TONE IS YOU (not the gear) !

  • Hi!

I am looking for a versatile amp and with TONE... Do you think this amp is great for that?

  • Hi! Thanks for your request! This amp is really cool and I love it. But with this thing I covered all styles I play every night - pop, country, blues, metal ... This amp has it all ... If you have the money - it's a must. And none the less - this thing looks awesome - and you would love to have it behind you on stage, believe me ...

  • Many thanks!

I guess It is what I need for...

  • If you play big events - then buy it. But if you play small clubs ... something smaller will do the job too. Depends what do you need it for. Anyway - it is a great machine ;)

    CHeers!

  • I ve been playing with my band in either places, big and small events. In small events I have used a Tiny Terror Combo (it seems a little amp but it speak up!)... But in big event it hasnt gave me volume.

    Sorry for my english.

  • has the amp enough gain for metal?

  • More than enough! Channel 3B is built for new ge metal - extra lows&highs - tons of gain and balls ... Metallica, Power metal and the so ...

    Cheers!

  • killwitch use it

    so yeah :D

  • Ya with a maxon overdrive and a tube screamer to boost ur OD

  • Channels 3A and 3B don't need to be boosted. They have more gain than you might ever need. This is what I like most of this amp - tons of gain/sustain. Cheers!

  • what pickups are you using ? super tone :D

  • really a good demo!!!!

i like every channel of this amps....

    tnx man!

  • You are welcome!!

    Cheers!

  • Finally a guy demoing an amp on youtube that can actually PLAY!!

  • Thanks a lot, man!

    Cheers!!

  • PLay The JEm!!!!

  • I do play the JEM - somewhere in the middle of the video. Take a look ...

    Cheers!

  • Does anyone know what the song he is playing on the Lead Channel is?

  • "IT'S ONLY LOVE"

    (Bryan Adams & Tina Turner)

    Cheers!

  • What are the differences between the original triamp and the MKII?

  • Man, I never had MK I to make A/B test. I just can't say what really is the difference between the new and the old TriAmp. I wanna know for myslef too :))))

    Cheers !!

  • Comment removed

  • They made the amp less modern sounding and re-voiced amp 2 to make the channels balance better.

Also the original design had the master volume for each amp effect both channels instead of channel a being non-master on the mkII.

  • I have an MK1. Aside from the obvious difference in looks, the MK1 had the MIDI module built into the amp. It came with it. Which is why, I bought it. I'm sure there is more in terms of circuitry and all that, but I know that's a difference.

  • Nah , the midi module was not build in the Triamp MK1.

The differences as far as i can tell , is that MK1 had a tube driven spring reverb, and some of them came with 6L6 and others with EL34.

  • The MIDI module is an option in MK 2 (I am not sure about MK 1). I also got it with the MIDI module, but didn't use it yet.

    Cheers!

  • Does the cab have v30 or g12m speakers?

  • Thanks for watching! The cab I use is V30 loaded!

    Cheers!

    Jordan

  • Damn, your V30 sounds just like my Eminence Governor (using Triamp MkII ofcourse.) I put it in a Mesa Thiele box and it has a similar bass response as the 4x12 Ketter cab. Highly recommended if you gig alot and don't want to lug around that 100 pound cabinet.

  • Thanks for the info! It's valuable for me!

    Cheers!

  • thanks for demo

  • This has always been my dream amp. My Washburn guitars through this amp with a wah, delay and an octaver pedal would be my absolute dram setup.

  • That's a h&k cab, right?

Do you think the red box di out sounds as good as a normal cab?

  • Yes, the red box is just as good as if you mic'ed the cab. This is what my friends said while auditioning me playing. They said it sounded the same on the front PA.

  • DREAM AMP, I WANT, I WANT, I WANT

  • It has a half power switch, 100w -> 50w .. the tone on the 50w side is better than the 100w side, but they're both insane. Just depends on if you need the power or not.

  • I actually noticed the same and use the half-power mode. Sounds cool to me!

  • how would thi ssound through an attenuator? can it even sound any better when you turn it up?

  • TriAmp sounds great even at low levels - this is not so common for other amps. I actually think that you don't need any attenuator.

  • Awesome sound, really. But is it worth 2.700 Euro (3.300 Bucks)? And in Addition, you need some efx. Did you try with flanger/phaser? Maybe a Switchblade would be a better choice for an amateur player with 15 gigs per year, what do you think?

  • For me this is the best amp on the market - really sweet thing!! Therefore - worth every penny :) If you have the money - go for it ...

  • Think, it`s going to take me some time to save the money. But I agree, it`s worth every penny. Just tested it two days ago and fell in love with it instantly...

  • This is the first amp I tried and that has it all - you just need a guitar and a cable to get the sound you need - no matter what you play - heavy metal, rock, country or whatever. Non the less - this is an inspiring piece of gear that really makes you want to play :) I have the most expensive sets of MESA BOOGIE too (I have a mesa set for over 8.000 EUR), but TriAmp beats them all and all my MESAs now collect dust at my kitchen now ...

  • sweet amp ;) sound really nice (at least with a Ernie Ball music man :P)

  • JEM!! NICE!!

  • Are you using any pedals, or just the FX knob on the amp?

  • The chain is Guitar -> Wah -> Amp

In the FX Loop I got Whammy and Delay/Reverb and that's all.

  • you rock man ! ;D

  • Great tone

I was thinking of buying one of these amps.

    Diezel Herbert

    Mesa Roadking

Hughes & Kettner Triamp MK II

    Engl Special Edition

Which one would you recommend me??

I mostly play metal (Dream theater, Shadows fall, Killswitch Engage, Nightwish, Nevermore, etc).

  • I trully believe that H&K TriAmp mk II is best of them all. Also the way it looks is just ... awesome! This should be your choice.

  • None of them is the best, it depends on style, el 84 are more crunchy sounding 6l6 more grunge its all about taste.

  • I say go try them out to see what suits you best...

Cause opinions are just opinions. In fact, if I said that out of all those four amps mentioned, the Triamp would be last on my list...

Does that mean that you should go try one out cause I prefer something else? No. But I can definitely say the amps you have listed are good amps none the less, each one unique...

  • take the mesa roadking if you are able to spend that much money

  • There is only 2 videos on You that really demonstrates reliability of this amp. I will probably buy this amp next year, instead of VH4 or roadking. Great video, thanx for upload it:)

  • Hi!

Thanks for your interest. Actually this is the only video where I use TriAmp (since I got it few months ago). The rest is very very old stuff I made like ages ago with stomp boxes and cheap stuff :)

    Cheers!

  • Awesome sound! Now make a video with the JEM.

  • Sorry, commented too early ^_^b

Now I have seen it with the JEM.

  • i love this amp ! are playing a LUKE ? Im playing a Fender Strat ... do you think

it sounds good with it ? is there a big difference between the HK MK 1 and the MK 2 ?

    Thanks bro !

    Max

  • Hey!!

Thanks for your interest. What I am playing here are couple of Musicman guitars - Johnm Petrucci (JP) model, Van Hallen and and Axis Sport. Tomorrow I am getting another JP model but a 7 string model.

I also love this amp and it will sound great with your strat too.

  • Nice Video Jordan ;)

    Kyle.

  • I was thinking of buying one of these amps used. Is this the EL34 or 6L6 version? What speakers are in the cab? Nice playing and some good tones, although a bit on the bright side for my tastes. Maybe just set up that way. Nice demo though : )

  • Hi!

This one is the EL34 version. The cab is Celestion V30 loaded. I just watched the video to see if it is really bright :)

You are right about it, but it is probably the camera I recorded with.

In fact the real tone is very solid and organic, just buy one like this and you will never regret.

    Cheers!

    Jordan

  • Thanks, buddy! This is an original Jem 7VWh - with middle pickup. You can't see it due the low video resolution ...

The guitar goes straight into the amp. There is only a delay and a whammy pedal connected to the loop.

    Best regards!

    Jordan J.

  • Great sounding amp and some nice guitars.

Is that a jem without a middle pickup?
