@edudrepus Yeah this guy is an outstanding bass player indeed. Though I miss and prefer Cass Lewis's playing, who's a little more greasier.. But this guy as well has an amazing voice and the bass line/groove on "Supermodel Sandwich w/cheese" is so undeniably funky..!
I am a huge Lenny Kravitz fan and I love Prince and TTD/Sanada.
I would agree if you only listened to the albums. Maybe then you can say that prince and TTD/Sananda have pushed barriers and have a bigger range in their voices.
But have you ever seen Lenny Kravitz perfoming live? You better go because he's amazing on stage!! :-)
This song is just so utterly magical... I must have at least half a dozen different mixes of this track scattered amongst different cd singles.. Every single mix is breathtaking, it's one of those rare songs that you could do just about anything with the multi layers within the song and it would still sound utterly magical.... I guess that awesome voice must have something to do with it...
Looks like I got into TTD/SM at the right time...He just joined 6 days ago??? Symphony Or Damn is great...Sananda I am gonna listen to your other cd's and pick em up. Thanks for posting this stuff!
Fuckin' amazing.....

Wonderful. Very Sam Cooke-esque in the beginning. True artist, lyrics are fantastic. Sanada is amazing.

The guy on the bass is light years ahead all the other musicians. That man deserves respect.

The intro is pure Sam Cooke, and I love the style Sananda had during this era (Symphony or Damn in 1993 and Vibrator in 1995).

I really have no idea why people compare the talent of Lenny Kravitz to TTD/SM & Prince. The latter 2 are light years ahead of LK, the pop star.
I feel LK makes music to get laid, while T/S & P have pushed barriers of music into unseen territories.
Not to mention their voices are so far beyond his in terms of range and ability to caress notes to squeeze out ideas and emotions.
