I was at this gig it was free to fan clun members. One of the best gigs I ever went to I was sweating like mad. Thanks for posting great memories great band.
This may be the best version of this on Youtube, serious Tom Scholz tone, and you can hear both guitars and the bass. Wish I could get the original somewhere.
My first ever gig was the Seer Tour at the Ipswich Regent , I will never ever forget that night even after seeing them several times after Inc the last tour
1986 was the last time I saw Big Country here in Los Angeles. It was the 4th time I had seen them and possibly the best concert I have ever been to before or since. I honestly get chills just watching this now. Thank you Stuart for adding so much to my life all those years ago when I was pretty lost and directionless. We'll never forget you and what a truly great human being you are. Sorry if this was post was overly personal. Big Country's music truly did change my life for the better.
I am shocked at how few post to BC threads. I guess I'm to blame. I couldn't handle this after Stuart's death.
Brilliant? I think that under describes our friends. They didn't invent a potion. They revealed their souls and in so doing exposed ours. That is part devious, part sancitmonious, part inspiring, part frightening and part shocking. I can't think of too many bands that invoke these feelings and also make me sigh with regret, relief, sadness and joy all at once.
I remember this. My mate taped it off the telly and loaned it to me but I mistakingly taped an edition of pretty poor music show 'No Limits' over it. He's never forgiven me! Does anyone know if I can get a copy of the whole gig somewhere?
This doesn't do Big Country justice really, isn't his best performance. Saw them at Hammersmith Odeon mid-eighties and it was amazing. Everyone in the band was great but Stuart WAS Big Country, sadly missed, RIP big man.
I too went to this gig which was awesome. I saw them on three further occasions in Newport, but without doubt this was the best performance.

When I saw BC in the 80's I remember the crowd and the atmosphere as it is in this video....and have never had that great feeling at a concert again.

If Stuart, Bruce, Tony and Mark only knew - to this day, this music keeps me alive, as it did in 1985.

Is this the same concert that has a great version of Rememberence Day? If so, (or not) can anyone tell me the title to this dvd?
