  • You all did very well, but the stage manners were a bit messy and so is the way that you guys have been taking some of the little critiques that others have been giving you just learn to take them and try to fallow some of them next time that's one of the biggest things you can learn from things like that! But other that that very well done and I love this arrangement and good job!

  • can't get over the stage presence, so bad.

  • I can FEEL the emotion coming from the choir. Magnificently done guys.

  • woah! awesome! my choir is doing this too! but we are all women's hahha(: my only thing is that you guys are really fidgety and judges always dock for that. but you guys sound amazing! (: good luck!

  • @kaylahash15 IT WAS SOOOOOOO HOT ON THAT STAGE!!! thats the only reason

  • @addictedtowar understandable haha(:

  • Superior for a high school choir! God bless :)

  • Very nice! There is a TON of potential in the choir! I have to say I agree with the moving, and trust me, I'm in choir, jazz band, concert band, and marching band. I know it gets hot up there lol just try and stay a little more still, the attention on the piece would be excellent if that factor was added. :) the only thing I can really say is watch the soprano pitches when they get up to the A because they tend to go flat. Especially on that last note so BIG BREATH!! but overall, really really

  • The group sound here is very nice. You all blend very well with each other! Your consonants are crisp and clear, which is notable for a high school choir. As far as criticism goes, when at forte/fortissimo+ dynamics, the choir sounds like it is shouting. Just relax and let the sheer number of you contribute to a nice clean fortissimo. Also, the melismas that the sopranos sing at 3:54 get very muddy and sloppy by the end. A tiny bit more separation would help! Overall, fairly good for a HS choir!

  • @Jaycaj1 For ease of clicking, 'melismas at 3:51'

  • @caramelldansengal Gwyneth Walker.

  • Conductor: wear a jacket foo, you lok like the printer repairman

  • @3Dmidori agreed.

  • @3Dmidori Uhh. It was literally 95 degrees in that theater because the air conditioning had been turned off for God knows what reason. This choir has a great stage mannerism, but this was our final concert, it's a highschool choir, and again, was very hot. Did you even like how we sang it? Cuz honestly, you should keep your negative comments to yourself. This was a great choir and I miss it and this beautiful song with all my heart.

  • @meghanpierson1 I like your sound - it has a lot of potential - but not how you sang it. The dynamics and vowels were off ... there was no build up because the choir gave away its sound too early. The fact that you didn't flip the Rs while you were singing, and that your vowels were off, detracted from the sound.

  • @3Dmidori Well thats a much nicer way to critisize rather than the sarcasm in your previous comment. And I'm sorry, but again, this choir does have good stage manners; you can't say we don't from only seeing one song, during which I repeat, it really was terribly hot.. like.. sweat rolling down your back hot - it would be hard for professionals to get through that. Staying "still" isn't necessarily a choral mannerism - you don't want to look like a bunch of robots. Also, we were all crying haha

  • @meghanpierson1 No, no, there's a different way to move around. When you twitch and adjust yourself, it detracts from your professionalism. I'm all for swaying to the music. And oh God I can empathize with you, ha ... we were ninety-five people on the stage, this tiny little stage and we were all sobbing hysterically by the end of the concert! This song is horrible that way. xD

  • @meghanpierson1 Im in the mfyx and we had to stand cramoped and very still for HOURS at music hall. werent allowed to move or anything. That is hard.

  • @3Dmidori Also, this choir won in concert choir division at Heritage Festival that year with this song, because we loved each other so very, very much. So.. yeah.. take your rude comments elsewhere.

  • @meghanpierson1 I'm glad you all enjoyed the song. But, sadly, the fact that you're in high school doesn't matter. Maybe you weren't taught good stage manners, in which case it's not your fault. But, for instance, in my choir (a high school choir), our director always taught us to stay still when we sang, and that's a huge part of the performance.

  • Very Pretty :)
