It would be very fitting for a Dean/Cassie vid, I agree. But I don't think it would convey the same message that this one was meant to. Thanks for the feedback!
-Do you happen to know which choir is singing with James Taylor, and what show that performance was from? (The recording you have here is I think, the performance I accidentally caught on TV once while flipping channels - I HAD to stop and watch it.)
The clips are from the TV Show "Supernatural" on the CW channel in the U.S. Awesome show. As for the choir, I'm really not sure. I just kinda stumbled across it. Sorry :(
I think it was a good call, sticking w/ the original James Taylor version.
cagirl222 posted a Lonesome Road video too, which I highly recommend (for the audio only). It's the original arrangement which my high scool Concert Choir sang, the choir is very well-balanced, AND the soloist sounds a lot like James Taylor!
wow, i love this song...our choir sang it last year...it think they did almost as well...this version was beautiful, but (sorry to sound high and mighty) but if they sang it slower like my choir did it would be more powerful...still beautiful though...maybe that's what the Kings Singers did...well, i'm going to leave you with this: the video was AMAZING! and do you have the song as a clip?
I do have the song as a clip. I'll upload it when I can and send a link to your inbox. Thanks for the feedback! I had a hard time deciding between the Kings Singers version and this one, but I decided to stick with the original. The song is just so beautiful, you can't really go wrong. :)
I truely love this song, but the only thing that has turned me from really loving it is the fact that the lyrics are interrupted by the characters talking. It's a beautiful piece, it really is, but perhaps without anyone speaking when there is singing. Do you have a recording seperate from this video of the song?
Thanks, for commenting. Yeah, I love the song too, but it was only meant to be a backdrop for the spoken clips in the vid. I do have the mp3 version, though. Drop a note in my inbox with an email address and I'll send it to you.
What are the names of the male and female lead in this video?

Also, a few Q's for nighoney:
-What movie are the clips from?
-Do you happen to know which choir is singing with James Taylor, and what show that performance was from? (The recording you have here is I think, the performance I accidentally caught on TV once while flipping channels - I HAD to stop and watch it.)

Hmm, maybe now I have a reason to watch TV. CW will have to pay you royalties, for advertising their show. :)
And hey - no worries, you can't know everything about the song!

The choir are his back-up singers. Many of them have been with JT for years.

Thanks! It was a tough choice, but this was the first version I ever heard, and the one I originally fell in love with :)

Same here! :) Many thanks for sharing your work, it's completely addictive and engrossing - and you choose some great songs!

I don't care whose choir is doing this one.. No one and I mean even my choir.. can do it like the King Singers did.
All hail the A capella gods!

An excellent rendition of the song is the one performed by the King's Singers.

That's true, it is a good rendition. I actually considered using it for the vid, but I do prefer the original.

so sad the song is ok, my choir is doing it and we sound better. I have the middle solo.
defying4266 5 years ago
Lol. Very cool! I do love this version though. Very simple yet moving.
nighoney 5 years ago
This recording is James Taylor. Your choir does not sound better, and it's very arrogant to say so.
BubbaBrz 5 years ago
my choir is doing it too, and a tenor has the solo. ;]
