She covered Michael Hedges, "Ritual Dance", I've always been under the impression that musicians who cover songs do so to pay homage to influential people in their lives and to show respect for songs that have touched them in some way.

I enjoy listening to all of them, and it's pointless to get bogged down in an irrelevant debate over who is better because art, if anything is subjective and appreciation varies based on one's own personal experiences and preferences. I'm probably alone in my opinion per King, fabulous player, just a tad redundant for me,yet a good gauge for me to not sound to repetitious.Butler is also awesome. And i never said anyone was better than any other,i just think the evil media just places people like chess pieces, deserving or not.

@ZOMBIELANDakaUSA Appreciate it, the John Mclaughlin and Paco de Lucia was freakin sick. Reminded me of Alex Fox, I saw him playing outside of a restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale and that dude wails, but I don't think he's quite as fast as those guys. I uploaded a video, Alex Fox La Catedral, from his cd but I think it's only been seen by like 20 people. Not problemo, Les Claypool is a god to me, i've seen Primus and his solo projects numerous times, though i did miss when he toured Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains(check those vids out). And if you like Les, you have to see the Electric Apricot, The Quest for Festeroo(hilarious flik, my wife liked it, that's saying alot, lol)

@ZOMBIELANDakaUSA Haven't seen Bernie Brains or the Frog brigade live, but I have some of their cd's. So pissed I missed Primus last year with Gogol Bordello and the Freak Show. I saw Primus at a little venue in Atlanta mid 2000's and it was the best concert I've ever seen; no opening band, just an 1 1/2 hours of bassy goodness, 15 minute intermission, then all of Sailing the Seas of Cheese. Even had Herb banging on the drums.

Being from the SF bay area, i've seen Primus live countless times since their earliest days, met Les(would love to go fishing with him,lol). seriously, check out the Electric Apricot, hilarious...i think you'll dig it.

Before the Butler kick I've been on for the past few months, was really into Morphine and will always have love for the Mars Volta, "Deloused in the Comatorium" is one of my favorite albums of all time. I actually appreciate most arts, poetry is one, darker the better(more cerebral). My musical taste/appreciation is vast,i like it all. If you like ambient/rock check out the band Hammock(song Sora, then check out all their other stuff). I think an ambient/"post rock" style may be what i want to focus on,Sigur Ros, God is an astronaut, lights out asia, godspeed you black emperor, MOGWAI...etc

First, i think King is an outstanding guitarist(obviously), but a bit overrated, and a bit redundant. Once in a blue moon i look at "the top acoustic guitarists of all time" type of lists, and King is most certainly not deserving some of the places she is, popularity shouldn't count in any review and/or polls. And no i don't count on some goofball guitarist magazine to tell who i should like, etc, morbid curiosity i suppose.
