Folks, I understand that the owner of the Bear named "Cubby", was tired of caring for the Bear, and could not afford the dental work that "Cubby" needed, so he then offered the "hunt" to Troy Gentry who was more than eager to pay the $5,000.00 to Lee Greenly, (Cubby's Owner) for the right to hunt the Bear, and also film the "staged hunt" for Gentry.

No jail-time was given to either Gentry, or Greenly for the illegal killing of Cubby.

Gentry, in a plea deal, was ordered to pay $15,000.00 fine
