also, this is one of the 1st ROMANTIC solo pieces for trombone: you want to know earlier solo works for tenor trombone, ask Christian Lindberg, who has resurrected tons of stuff, including a Leopold Mozart concerto

Interpretation is ok...sometimes a bit harsh and exuerbant but gentle when needed and heroic when applicable. Slokar is good but he ain't Ian Bousfield, Joe Alessi, Michel Becquet, Jay Friedman, Ralph Sauer, or Jorgen van Rijen either.

The soloist is a slovenian trombonist Branimir Slokar. He is one of the best trombonists probably in the world :)
