I got the same one, I got it new when I was a kid. This thing kicks ass and at 120 watts per channel has more kick then all the new stuff I got over the years. At one time I had it hooked up to 2 big dj speakers that had 2 15 inch woofers in each a 4x10 horn and 5 pizos. It had no problem moving those 4 15s. I got a new Sony that is raited at 100 watts x 7 so 700 watts rms sounds like a toy compared to this thing.
I think it's cool old technology playing the new stuff like are radio I have an old really big radio that was made in the early 60"s and it still works plays are radio stations from today like nothing it's awesome
i used to have one of these i needed money tho at the time so i sold it with the componet cassette deck that matched it and they both had all the original paperwork from when they were bought brand new in 77!! got 80 dollars for the set i miss them tho but i would have gladly traded for a marantz from the late 60s early 70s !!

What's the difference between the SX-1080 and the SX-980? I have the SX-980. Check my vids.

@djspazzin SX-980 @ 80 watts per channel. SX-1080 @ 120 watts per channel. Performance pretty much the same but 1080 has more punch.
