this is based on Warhammer FB, (normally just known as Warhammer) which includes the Empire, Skaven, Orcs and Goblins etc

Warhammer 40k is Futuristic, and has an entire different game series based on it and includes Space Marines, Eldar, Necrons etc

@rustynailsinajar Warhammer fantasy is in another galaxsy/universe or some shit that "the Old Ones" made, also making most of the races, but left when Chaos came and took their portals. Orks somehow got there too. The Imperium fights chaos and orks elsewhere in the universe. It's the same Chaos and Orks because they have the same gods in fantasy and 40k. Elves and Eldar also have the same gods.

I guess it's up to each of ya to try it and decide if it's good or not.Ya,it depends if you like games like rome total war or warhammer 40k...My opinion is that this game is quite cool,it's ok in the beginning,possible singleplayer(specially the chaos one).But,,there are some bad things aswell.The game gets boring pretty fast and it's kind of monotonic,the dead multiplayer doesn't help either. This game could be much more-if it was like 40 or simply bettter done.Shame they spoiled it: /

It was the warhammer game called shadow of the horned rat that started all RTT genre in this manner like total war series (squads, tactics, flanking, support, formations) before that RTT looked like animated chess and single unit based instead of squads.

And Mark of Chaos isnt that good Dark Omen from 90s is way better the graphics are inferior (but awesome for the time it was released)

But gameplay is awesome.

When using the calvery for charge it throws enemy infintry all around

Mark of Chaos came first and it has a Chaos campaign as well as a Human/High Elves campaign.

While Battle March is the expansion and it has Ork and Dark Elves Campaign.

i love this game, really. Just played it again, human campaign, hard difficulty - kinda tricky and fun when u want ur heroes to level up as soon as possible, with minimum casualities each lvl (buying all upgrades possible, potions etc.)

Nope. You only fight with what you have.

You select your warriors before you fight.

Once on the battlefield, (normally) there's no reinforcements.

I've had the most fun with this game when I'm left to only a few core units trying to survive but I manage I win out against my foe.

It uses the same system as the Total War series where the bases are not seen in the battlefield.

So you have a fixed amount of fighting force each battle.

There are, however, castle sieges. But castles don't churn out units like in most RTS games.

Loading time is quite long but the game can run. Even on low graphic settings it's still quite pretty.

Mmm.. I actually forgot the difficulty. But I vaguely remember making it easy for my Khorne army to wipe out the humans. It was for filming purposes.

Anyway, I remember having a skirmish, full Nurgle army vs. full Ostermark. It was literally to the death. I only had my Champion left. Sweet game.

None taken. I never truly expected them to be favored by people. I guess it's mainly because most of them are mildly retarded and have no true goals aside from pillaging, vandalizing and killing. I find most races overall interesting with exception of High Elves who are sooooo similar to LOTR elves. Only unique unit is the white lion. . . still a powerful race.
