  • hello drmarcdarrow does prolly therapy realy tighten ligaments and tendons? and get rid of laxity ?

  • Thorough diagnosis, 24 hour small MORA + PT (in some cases) is the most non invasive and most conservative approach. When needed Ortho (or oclusal reconstruction) after establishing correct bite with MORA, is the permeant approach for some. Or some do not need MORA longterm or just ware it at night. 5% still need surgery. Problem is there is discrimination against TMD in all but two states.

  • Totally inappropriate approach to TMD.

  • Is this available everywhere? Can my local doctor do this procedure or is this something that is only done by specialists in certain parts of the country?

  • Well, a few needle pricks is worth it if you can end years of chronic pain. In my opinion anyways.

  • Yeah, other than the fact you get jabbed about 50 or so times!

  • I am definitely in the category of try whatever you can before opting for surgery because of the stories I have heard from family and friends about surgeries that really didnt fix the problem. There are so many variables involved. I am much more into things like chiropractic care and things like that. This certainly seems like a safe alternative to surgery.

  • I fell on the ice about 10 years ago and slammed on my shoulder. Thought I broke it but didnt. Doctors kept telling me to have surgery but I was always scared of doing it as I have heard horror stories. Prolotherapy looks like a viable option. Anyone ever had this done before?

  • In the video the Dr says it is less expensive than surgical options so that is a good thing.

  • Is the procedure really expensive?

  • I have had acupuncture on my shoulder about 10 times and have felt little if any relief. I would give this a try though. Anything to be pain free.

  • My question is, what are the side effects? Are there negative possibilities of having this procedure done, other than getting stuck with a needle a bunch of times?

  • Whats the connection between this and acupuncture?
