your bass drum and toms sound distorted.. meaning that you need to check the levels of those mics on your mixer. P.S, I don't know where you have your bass drum mic, but it you have a pillow in your bass, lay the mic on top of it about a foot away from the batter head. this will result in a punchier sound ; )

dawg, your snare sounds fine but the rest of the kit is pretty bad. take the pinstripes off the toms and put emperors on with moongels. take the powersonics off the kicks and put either a clear powerstroke 3 or a clear pinstripe with a half-size pillow inside. your kit should sound way better.

It's amazing what a difference between recording with one room mike and multiple mikes. Not sure what you edit the video on but usually you can EQ in the editing program to take out any bad overtones. It makes a world of difference! Great sound so far and great playing 5/5!!

reack toms sound dead and hollow... dont gate them soo much... they sound like street drummer tubs.. and the floor toms sound fine...

and get the bass mic closer to the head... im not getting any attack...

on the mixer were your mics go plug in then output into computer, turn down the clip on each channel then we wont get that high freq ring, good drumming.

Yep they work! Bad sounding Toms Get some Evans G2s for them and an Evans EMAD for your kicks.

The toms don't sound like they're tuned, the kick and snare sound good, and the cymbals sound GREAT!!! Why do you need mics? Are you recording an album or playing a big gig with your band?

Your single stroke chops are impressive. Your next priority might be groove/time/meter. Keep playing!!!

I think you got your snare perfect, But I think the bass drums need more treble and its probs the cams reaction to the frequencies on the toms but if not they're too bassy

Anyways this is just my opinion, anyways, your hella fast and sick =D

Everything about the kit sounds awesome EXCEPT for the toms... The bass, snare and cymbals are right on. But the toms sound... bad. Sounds like a tuning issue.

Sounds pretty good but the tom mics are sounding electronicy(if thats a word)You shound try hanging the mics from your ceiling(overhead micing) and don't hang them to close to the head.

All i did for this video was worked out some levels then did this, i didnt messa round with anything else, but i will!

I think i just need to work on the two floor toms cuz there set up different to the other three toms, and i also need to work on the bass drum sounds!

i think one of the main problem for the bass drum is to get a better sound i need to have a hole in the front of them to get the true sound instead of the bouncyness that im getting on here!

Im getting Mic's now.. lol I just got a new DVD Camcorder and the limiter it has does weird things to the sound when I hit the cymbals and then the Toms.. It takes all the Bass out of the Drums. UGG~!

If you can help me aswell whats the best program to use for the video editing so i can sync the videos perfect. Because when i use the mis i will listen to the music through head phones instead of through my pa so i will have put the song over the top of the recording like most people already do on here.
