I guess the biggest diffence is that Kanye is one of the best "entertainers" out there, while Lupe can incorporate social messages in both a subtle and not-so-subtle manner in his verses. Lupe is one of the best doing *that* right now. You know, he's not just rapping about typical, commercial rap topics most rappers seem to incorporate (and be satisfied with). It's a shame he'll never get the recognition he truly deserves...

I listen to both all day everyday, however, kanye lost his hunger after his first album where every track was a hit. I copped his album admittedly for the bear on the cover, it intrigued me (this was before kanye became the superstar he is)

& I listened to it for 2 months straight, no exaggeration. his following CDs were made to expand, reach & appeal to a wider audience, clearly (take the samples for example). he lost his hunger (to produce that harsh sound) when he became big. maintained his swagger.. but when Donda passed, I kept noted how I wished he'd come back more fierce, more confident, hard as ever. every track a hit.
