  • :45 your gas tank prob. stays in that spot lol

  • NIIIICE MANN!!! LOVE THAT TURBO RIG!! DID U GET A SHIFT KIT FOR UR TRANSMISSION?? LONG TUBE HEADERS??? OVERALL MANN NICE!! I'M ALSO WORKING ON GETTIN MY SILVERADO TURBO'D GOTTA SWAP THIS DAMN {{VORTEC}} MOTOR PIECE OF SCRAP METAL IN MY TRUCK HAHA

  • tune it if already get a better tuner

  • the sts turbo replaces the muffler so it is your muffler

  • why not a turbo on header

  • @TheKnightman25 THE THEORY IS BY THE TIME THE AIR PUSHED THROUGH THE TUBE GETS COLD AS SOON AS IT REACHES THE HEADERS, THAT MEANS ((NO INTERCOOLER)) THAT IS ALSO Y THE TURBO IS AT THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, IF U STUDY TURBO THEN U'LL SEE Y MOST PPL WITH COREVETTES DO THIS TO THEIR VEHICLES

  • RIP Kevin...he had one of the badest sts silverado out there.

  • nice

  • How are you liking that STS setup man?

  • I meant to add... is that exhaust note coming from the pipe right out of the turbo? Or did you add a muffler or something

  • dont drive it in the rain, lol.

  • what a waste of money and you could have done so much more with a simple vortech supercharger with tons less work and none of that crap piping throughout the entire truck, hell you probably gained 100po in weight from all the crap inder the truck

  • its actually a different theory on forced induction the turbo run something around 500degrees cooler on an sts

  • You didn't need the water!!!

  • did u purposely wet that piece of tarmac?

  • im new at this.. but why is there a turbo underneath the truck?? To Force air out??

  • @A22BMX its no dif than putting it up front does the same thing just a little louder

  • @A22BMX its just a remote turbo system, same as any reg turbo set up, the piping is just ran to the front of the car. Probably wanted to keep the engine bay clean.

  • @A22BMX what they car rear mount turbo..mainly for cars that cant spare the room under the hood for the turbo and plumbing

  • The truck and and the video look good, but yeah the water might protect your shaft and tires. Over all it dosen't make a good impression, which is what posting a video is for.

  • @Mr69dreamer any car can do a burnout on dry asphalt dosnt mean shit hes just tryin to save money....u wanna pay him 200$ each for those rear tires? or who knows how much for the shaft?

  • You idiot he's trying not to break his driveline, go play in traffic and die dbag.

  • Water on the tires puts less stress or strane on the rear end and drive shaft. Its a smart way to do a burnout.

  • All that money you spent on a turbo, and intercooler, and you still need water to do a burnout. go play in traffic and die

  • @XxKobeBryantxX24 its called saving tires fucking fag

  • @outpass its not saving tires couse once the tires break loss its try ground u fag

  • @XxKobeBryantxX24 looks like someone doesn't know how a turbo works.

  • @XxKobeBryantxX24 your an idoit....

  • @1gt289 can't say i am :)

  • @XxKobeBryantxX24 yep you're an idiot, and kobe bryant SUCKS! :)

  • nice rims wats the brand?

  • Gay you need water to burnout that's gay

  • @01152618 do you really think he needs water to do a burn out? your a fucking noob go home and place forza fag

  • how much did you get the turbo kit for

  • Is your motor pretty much stock with sts installed?...plz reply back

  • you really had to wet the road before a burnout? wtf

  • @yamaha3595 no.. its easier on the drivetrain guessing that its stock..

  • how much boost?

do you have headers on it?

    intake manifold?

    bigger injectors?

    is it tuned?

if not you should get all of those and make a new video lol

  • are you running a muffler after the turbo? it looks like just a straight pipe coming out of it, kinda hard to tell looking at the vid.

  • note to self... dont buy sts turbo

  • @atrainfbgm...because I dont have truck

  • You might be a redneck if you spend all your money to super/turbo charge a 5000lb pickup truck. Now you can run 15's and beat on stock Civics

  • @TheCHEVYNATOR dude a red neck wouldnt supercharge or turbocharge a truck you ass fuck......they would lift it

  • @carlbellybutton10 Not all rednecks are created equal. Some live in trailer parks some live in a barn, but one thing they all have in common they all own a project pick up. I own a pickup but I would never think of modifying it.Its a WORK vehicle. My Nova? Now thats a different story

  • @TheCHEVYNATOR a bro what kind of engine do you have in your Nova?

  • @garciaville13 Right now a 383 stroker.I ve had 1 454 a 468 and in the beginning a zz4 350. The 468 was a beast but I broke it.

  • @TheCHEVYNATOR LOL 15s my ass. try 9s and 8s when with 4wheel smokin.

  • @HoundrUs The average Honda does what in the 1/4 mile? Dont even answer you'll look even more like a retard

  • @TheCHEVYNATOR probably say high 13s-low 14s

  • turbo lag??

  • holy crap i think i found my turbo system

  • why isthe turbo underneath the truck instead of in the engine bay? badass truck man!

  • @jonoro10 STS turbo

  • why is the turbo under thetruck instead of in the engine bay? i've never seen that before pretty sick man clean truck too

  • why is the turbo under thetruck instead of in the engine bay? i've never seen that before pretty sick man clean truck too

  • @jonoro10 Its running off the exhaust

  • does any body kno where can i buy a turbo manifold for my 99 silverado?

  • @rp9227 you know you are on the internet, just google it.

  • @jfo420 i did i cant find it on the internet i was hopin some one knew where to get one

  • schweet

  • that truck would look great with a lift and those rims.

  • love that jump from 20 mph to 55 in a second!

  • a good kit will set u back about 5 g's with tune and injector upgrade , if u can piece it together urself around 3500 would be a good start but for that amount u can seriously trick out the motor trans and rear end and have money left over for gas no joke check my vid out its all motor and i am about $1800 dollars in and just need to do my rear end which is about 600

  • Aren't these kits like $6-$7k? Seems like a lot for what you get back out of it. Not cutting on you, I love silverado's and interested in the turbo kit for my own but just don't feel its worth it for my application.

  • Ive spun the tires on my 2003 Sierra with 4.3 LU3, thought i almost stirred the cops up near by when i took off the way i did

  • I really dont see why they need to do a remote mount setup on this truck? I have looked in the engine bay and i could fit 2 turbos and an intercooler in there

  • @mattmatt115 good luck finding a exh manifold

  • @mattmatt115

rear mounted turbos have little to no lag.

    instant boost.

  • @mattmatt115

It's not a matter of NEED. It's cheaper this way, more efficient, hidden, and makes it sound like a diesel... Think about it, this way there's no need to get a custom manifold made. That's a good chunk of change alone

  • dont the power of the power decrease the farther way it is from the intake

  • @2011mustang5O ,

negative, pressured air charge doesn't change with the length of the tubing as long as you still have something pushing on the other end. many many hours of dyno time have proven that it really doesn't matter where you put the turbo. there are other issues to address when putting a turbo there, like you need an oil pump to push the oil back to the engine once it's gone through the turbo, yadda yadda, but power is rarely comprimised :)

  • @2011mustang5O

They run smaller diameter intake pipe to make up for the distance. And it eliminates lag almost completely

  • its a sts turbo...

  • what the hell its on the bottom

  • The turbo lol

  • @ryansisthebest

yeah never seen one of these have you? this ain't your typical honda

  • Blow off valve for the win

  • had a roughride lol i dont know if iwant a turbo or a supercharger for a 98 suburban any one have a suggestion

  • dont put money on a car or truck thats as heavy as a suburban

  • hey man, i have an 03 silverado single cab 4.8 im planning on putting an sts turbo in my truck but im wondering if you know if i gotta change my transmission or anything to let it run properly?? or if just puttin a turbo in it that it will work just fine. just let me know if you know or not. thanks!

  • very nice

  • hay is this a 4.8L or a 5.3?

  • I would much rather get a turbo diesel, you can push 60+ psi and still get 35+ mpg.

  • who shuts off car after a run like that..well maybe he has to money to get new turbo..

  • it's a rear mount so i doesn't get as hot so cooling isn't an issue

  • but it will get muddy

  • bitchin.

  • Thing sounds amazing. Cool truck dude.

  • damn that was placed far away, Can we say " TURBO LAG"

  • great truck but i will stick with my 7.3 turbo diesel F250

  • :O i want this on my chev now.

  • how the hell

  • is that a lot of work to put one of them turbos under the truck

  • no its easy it goes near your exhaust its better too

  • how is the turbo under the truck

  • its a rear mounted turbo

  • no the orinial 350 was just that, the ls1 is what came in the newer corvetts, and pontiac GTOs. The heads are different. along with the cooling style is a reverse flow.

  • im putting a 5.7 ls1, with a vortek supercharger into my 2000 sierra 1500

  • was the 350 5.7 a LS1 ?

  • the LS1 is a 350 5.7 but its not the one that comes in pre 99 trucks. This truck came with a 5.3 or 4.8, 5.7 is not an option.

  • i was gonna say cuase i havea 350 in my truck and im lyk no way in hell itsa LS1 but thnks for cleraing it up to me

  • 88-98 with the 350... is the L31 motor.

LS1 comes out of the camaro, corvette, firebird, gto. basically the performance cars that GM made. Which is excellent if you have a L31 like me, cause you can find universal parts out of the LS1 for cheap.

  • i had l31 then sum odd reason even tho its a bit weeker i jus love the engine

  • Don't know about differential failures but the only really weak spot in these trucks is the 4l60e. Run it til' it blows up and then build it good. 2500s and above with the 4l80? Those are tough to kill and built can take 1000++ hp. You can swap a 4l80 into a half ton without too much difficulty, just a thought.

  • my supercharged silverado ss would kill you lol

  • what you running in the 1/4 mile bro?

  • look i am not a car buff but y do they put them under the truck vs under the hood is it a space issue and how much did that cost cuz i want to one day do it to my truck and is there any benefits or disadvantages to having it there vs under the hood

  • More Room down there vs in the hood, Check out STS they build these kits

  • its going to possibly have lower psi

  • Burn it out without the water.

  • How's that STS kit work for you. I was thinking about getting a universal kit for my sebring but I heard some bad reviews.

  • lol 1:14 someone is saying fuuuuuuuuuck oooookkk.... hahahhahahaha that part is just great love the sound of the turbo =D

  • dude thats friggen awsome!!!! only if there was no such thing as turbo lagg lol

  • awesome truck man

  • stock gears man? cheap. that sounds horrible. get better gears unless your like me with a 4X4 and dont want to shell out all that money to change the rear and the front gears plus labour. but anyways.. pretty cool.

  • pos that red dodge looks kick asss though

  • it looks terrible, thats a fact not my opinion you cunt, and even if it did look better then the silverado, it would be choking on its dust any given day.

  • dude dodge is nothing but a pile of shit... ford is better than dodge and ford sucks ass

  • i would have to say dodge cummins and chevy duramax are by far the best trucks out there for d with heavy duty trucks is no good these days

  • nice truck for the most part, cept ur shitty little burnout at 1st....water...come on...real men play with real toys and well dont use a cheater like water...or bleach, but yea, nice ride anyways..

  • Who cares if he uses water to start spinning, you know they use water in the burnout box at the track right? And by the way, a silverado isnt really considered a real mans toy.

  • tires can rip without it

  • not a good idea to shut off your truck with a hot turbo....

  • what kind of exaust should i get with a turbo?

  • I was wondering ,would the turbo make my stock 5.3L silverado less dependable??

  • Yes, anytime you put boost into a stock engine you'll sacrifice some dependability, as long as you keep the boost pretty low though you won't have a problem.

The real thing you should worry about isn't the engine, but the tranny. Chevy Transmissions aren't the greatest, especially with the 5.3L setup... I've already gone through 2 and I've only got a cold air, throttle body spacer, and flowmaster exhaust. Also gone through 2 rear diffs.

  • getta 4L80E tranny.

  • Not to sounds like an ass ... but is the rest of your truck stock besides exhaust ? didnt sound like you shift points were changed much ... also looked like you had a big set of gears ... 342's / 323 ? I have a 5.3 extcab with bolt ons and Zo6 cam/springs / full exaust / Custom tune .... it takes off like an animal compared to what ive seen hear ... 373 gears in mine also running 20" joe gibbs wheels as well

  • you have this model truck too? yeah i do and the gears are shit. how is your gear set off the line?

my truck is all stock except exhaust and body mods/rims etc. if you dont mind telling me also about how much did your cam and springs cost you?

  • you added newer tailights to an older model. cool!!! Cool turbo too.

  • turbo lag????

there would have to be a fair amount of it if its that far away

  • 4.8, 5.3, or 6.0 ????

  • 5.3

  • not much power if you had to hold the break on WET aspalt but yet its seems like it runs nicely

  • i hear over exhaust rev limiter?

  • that is nasty

  • very nice truck indeed, ive seen alot of turbo installs, but never like that one in the rear, what are the benefits of having boost mounted in the rear vs. engine mounted?

  • HEAT! I had a GMC Typhoon and the turbo got red hot being under the hood and next to the engine. That's the extreme but with this set up the Turbo doesn't get heat soaked and all the piping + location of turbo lowers intake charges = more power.

  • that makes sense, thanks for educating me on that.

  • Wrong, less power, its the heat energy that powers the turbine and a turbine that far away does not capture as much heat.

  • Somewhat true...it's not necessarily heat but volume that you want at the turbine housing. The hotter the exhaust gasses the less dense the charge meaning more volume which in turn spools the turbine faster, However I have my pipes coated and wrapped so I lose practically no heat on the way back to the turbo. However, you don't want a HOT charge, and the location of the turbo enables a cooler charge due to more surface area on the charge pipes on the way to the intercooler.

  • Also, underhood or front mounted turbo's heat up the entire engine bay which promotes heat soak throughout the engine bay causing poor cooling of the intake charge. With a remote mounted turbo, the engine bay stays a lot cooler and you get a better heat exchange providing a cooler charge.

  • You know how when the turbo compresses air, it heats up. The cool air going under the truck cools down the tubing on the way back to the engine without using an intercooler. Desides it's a good way to hide the turbo. You can probably cut up the stock intake so it covers the turbo tubing.

  • Hey awesome truck! Did you get to 12 psi yet? I have an STS set up on my truck as well but I'm waiting to forge the engine before I boost any higher than 6 psi. Have you done any other mods to your engine other than the turbo?

  • yeah 1500

  • would the owner of this truck IM me on aim! my sn's CHRIS01YZ

  • Hmm, Im not much of a chevy guy, but you have a really nice truck, is that the 1500?

  • sts remote mounted turbo

  • how much did u pay for that cause i want to do that too my truck

  • @michaelbarrios3589 sounds sick man what was the hp change did u dyno it?

  • very nice, what kind of turbo setup is it?

  • 7 right now

    12 soon

  • how many psi on your squires kit? I'm up to 10.5 on my tacoma
