My daughter & I tried the well established trail on the north side of Hungry Horse Creek hoping it would be easier. It was very steep & seemed to be working it's was away from Great Northern. We climbed hard for 90 minutes & never got out of the woods. So we turned around...
Is the route on the south side of the creek, even though less established, any easier?
@fredhaney I've only done the "bushwacking" route source of Hungry Horse creek thus far. I believe it's shorter, but I presume that also means steeper. My guess is that it's actually a little sketchier than the other route. I did it again a few weeks ago with some friends and made yet another video. See Great Northern 2011.
Thanks for both videos. Well done.
