  • @presan

sorry to hear time flys so fast in Brazil. It's still 1992 here up north. You gots to check out this nigga Tupac, I think he's gonna make it big.

  • @presan lol the video says 1999 but it really came off their first album My Own Prison in 1997.

  • Comment removed

  • @drummerboo83 yes, you're sure friend, thank you so much! ; )

  • Great Song!

  • Its about time we Need to force the Radio stations around the world to Blast The following bands on Radio: Alter Bridge CREED Black Label Society Sevendust Finger Eleven And the Tremonti Special : MetallicA Megadeth PanterA Sound Garden And every band Musician from Fret.12
  • @PsychopathicKnees You don't need radio for music... just turn it off :)

  • the end is near beware

  • Boring, conservative, unimaginative, middle of the road music, taylormade for the nonsmokin borne again goody two-shoes.

  • @Pladderkasse guess you will never get this music or the feelings behind it...

  • @Pladderkasse ...that's how you look at it,it doesn't mean that's how it is.

  • this song intro reminds me of where is my mind by the pixies, the chord progressions

  • Why can't music go back to this?

  • @dez0923 because music is taking turn for the better i.e. Alter Bridge and A7X

  • Come to think of it, Chevelle is more Christain than these guys. lol.

  • LOVE Creed! His voice rocks, could listen to it all day :)

  • i really love this song

  • my life is for my daughter.. BIG love to you girl..

  • Excellent song

  • kind of like creed...bit cliched and unoriginal...but...now yoyu said they are are Christian band.....then they ain't for me....they are no deities...unless you count James Hetfield...which i do.

  • Their songs always have a message! Indeed talent with a purpose.

  • i had a brownie once... and it was A-W-E-S-O-M-E !

  • whats this life for bitches!!

  • @codytp to learn this kind of self righteous crap rock should be forgotten

  • Of course you can say "gosh darn" score, but that really won't work in a song lyric.

  • i lost my girlfriend....WHAT'S THIS LIFE FOR?

  • @thanosguitarist serving Jesus Christ and doing what he said to do.

  • I tried to play some Creed during a mission. but one of my peers stopped me because they were counted for as a secular band...just because they use th GD word only twice in just this song. Now 12 Stones is label mates with Creed and they claim tio be a Chirstian band as well. But just because the all the guys in Creed are Cristiain deosnt neccesarily mean they're music is.

  • @doctorshifty83 can;t you just say gosh darn score?

  • @scars73,,,,,, that'd be gayer than a french horn. may i ask whats wrong with god damned score, are those words considered offencive to people of christian faith??

  • @mrfirefli not sure why you feel that way, but ok, to each his own. I think we should respect our fellow human being's and what they believe. Yes, taking God's name in vein is very offensive to a lot of people, not just Christian's. Jewish people believe that actually spelling out the name God is offensive. When they use it in text, they spell is G-d. God bless you.

  • @scars73 ,,, thanks for your answer, i just wondered why everyones so worried about him using the words god damned like he's some sort of devout christian when he's a drug addict, alcoholic and a wife basher as well, no mention of that though lol and to me actions speak louder than words. i only asked because i dont believe in god or the devil and would'nt know. cheers.

  • @mrfirefli no problem. I imagine you are talking about Scott Stapp. He's not a wife beater, and yes he has had his demons in the past(alcohol/porn), as I am sure we all have in some form, but we are all human and not perfect. Scott is a christian, whether he appears so or not. We don't know what really goes on in people's lives, and how he is now.

  • @scars73 well he was charged with assaulting his wife and punching another chick in the face in florida, dont know what u call it but here in Australia thats a wife beater.

  • @mrfirefli I know he is remarried and has 2 kids. Have you ever researched any kind of spirituality or religion? Something created life and everthing around us. I try not to judge others, as we have no idea what goes on in people's lives or why they do the things they do.

  • @scars73 cool mate im not mocking your religion and good for you if thats what you choose but to answer your question, yes i was born/baptised a catholic and was schooled for 6 yrs in a catholic school, i found it to be the biggest load of crap and want nothing to do with it.

  • @mrfirefli ONLY THEM! My bf uses the word everyday for life.

  • look at my acoustic cover watch?v=yng4nxdJzX0

  • i could never figure out why I was alive with this disability. then i heard this song and went to college now i know what my life is for

  • @gccstudent83 what disability is that, if I may ask? Hope you are doing well.

  • @gccstudent83 what disability is that, if I may ask? Hope you are doing well. There is a reason for everything in life, whether we know that reason yet, or not.

  • Their music is timless. I can hear their albums all the time and it never gets boring. Ps maybe you wanna check out my Funk Song :-)

  • não entendo como tem pessoas que possam não gostar dessa musica :S

  • SCOTT ACTUALLY WENT TO COLLEGE LESS THAN 1 MILE FROM MY HOUSE!!

  • We all live under the Reign of one King, I think that says it all.

  • very spirtual band,not a christian band,theyre too good

  • i was crazy about them once.

  • This song is on My own Prison! It says human clay at the end!

  • You guys are confusing religion with spirituality.

  • 1:44 - 1:49 = intense! lol

  • i LOVE creed..you know.we have also a band named OSIRIS NECROMANCER

we covered the CREEd song s coz we LOVE creed

  • I agree with you 100% 12jo0

  • you know how it is.....all a band has to do is say Jesus or God a couple of times in one of their songs and they're religious

  • @mud911 but Creeds not religous band they refused the title Scott Stapp is jsut a Chrisian and that has an influence on some of his songs.

  • how can anyone say the band is not religious, or at least say that scott isn't? scott's father was, i think, a pastor. a lot of the songs off of my own prison talk about how scott is "unforgiven" and that he can't be saved, how he is "losing his faith", how he thinks that his fathers religion is controlling, and that it's all lies.. and btw, songs are sometimes meant to have more than one meaning.

  • religion should not be an interpretaion, it is what it is, the bible is what it is, not what we think it should mean, thus the reason i have a serious problem with most religions nowa days,

  • i used to think they were eating marshmallows.. not eggs

  • this song makes me wanna punch someone in the face. Hey, u, whats this life for? BAM! jk

  • long live grunge/90s rock bitches!

  • @mellomex85 this is not grunge, it's gospel music. comical self righteous crap

  • ЭТО HALLOWEEN РЕБЯТА!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • age old question!! Let me know when anyone gets an answer!

  • i'm 34 years old , and why do i have gray hair , it is cause i came from the 90's where every thing is real, not about money . wake up people sing again.

  • @MrXpumkinheadx I hope that is sarcasm. The 90's was a decade when millionaires were made. All these 30 & 40 something millionaires, the google guys, yahoo guys...and the band Creed made millions. Creed mass marketed songs based on their religious up-bringing an people ate it up. At every interview these guys strongly denied they were religious, but people believe what they want.

  • ...This Guys give me another chance start from begining...

  • Some of you guys under 30 discovering this for the first time...this band is not religious. The lead singer grew up in a religious family but he lost that in college. watch "behind the music". just because you have some of influence in your life doesn't mean you are religious. Some of their lyrics are sarcastic.

  • @jcgrizzy what do you mean it's not religious? of course it is. But people can interpret it however they want.

  • @scars73 Hey, scars, I didn't say the song was not religious. I said the "band" is not.

  • goddamn scores!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Adam Savage !! thats the guy i meant ! that MYTH BUSTERS guy !!

  • Scott Phillips who plays the drums looks like that guy from MYTH BUSTERS !!

  • @irememberwhat Suck a bag of dicks.

  • @irememberwhat this is not about Jesus Christ its about wat life is for

  • We're here to learn. Heaven is perfect, no pain, no sadness. So we come down here to experience everything, the good & the bad.

  • @Libramoon77 yo this isnt about heaven or hell its about life and wat it is for

  • @Libramoon77 heaven is here

  • @Libramoon77 Are those the lyrics?

  • @ShaggyPker no those r not the lyrics.....

  • @Libramoon77 the only part that sucks is that we have to die before we can go to heaven.... either that or God has to return to us during our lifetime wich i hope he does ofcourse.

  • @Libramoon77 doesn't sound perfect to me

  • christianity FTW!!!

  • @irememberwhat The only king I know of that we all live under is money!

  • 2:07 to 3:32 best part EVER!

  • love this band, even though they are really religious

  • @TheHuMoCa No they aren't!! Fuck where do you people get that from? They have come out several times over the years saying that they are not and never have been a christian band!!!

  • @spikeman23 calm down there i never said they are a christian band, Scott is a devoted christian and it shows in his writing

  • @TheHuMoCa Devoted christians don't say Goddamn!

  • @gigisson idk im not christian

  • YAAAASSSSEEEEEYYY!!

  • finally a video that does not involve vevo

  • I liked the one better where they blanked out the G__ D___.

  • @mattlewis66 Get over it

  • @irememberwhat does it have to be jesus?

  • The first time I ever heard this song was on the credits to the movie Halloween h20.and I loved this song since. Creed is one of my fav bands. And for everyone who is arguing about if what it's about, can't we just settle and say this is a great song please. =D

  • 1:53 i think his hot haha

  • @irememberwhat keep telling yourself that, asswipe. Elvis was a better king.

  • @irememberwhat how could this be about jesus if this song says god damn 2 times

  • I LOVE Creed, I was ECSTATIC when they reunited for a new album! Full Circle! HOOAH! But, "What's This Life For" is one helluva GREAT song, other than the "GD". "Don't have to settle no G** D*** score!" Man, Scott Stapp didn't have to take the Lord's name in vain like that. IF he's a Christain like he claims, he wouldn't be putting GD in his lyrics!

  • @fanothetube

First, Clearly if taking the lords name in vain was such a problem for whole hearted Christian Scott Stapp he wouldn't have said it. Second, I'm pretty sure he had no objectivity in using it as a slander towards God and was merely using it in an anecdotal context to express excitement and anger in the emotional passage of the song to get his point across. Lastly, In America we do live by our Constitution and we are entitled to freedom of speech so please stop being so melodramatic

  • @JonasBrosMustDie Ok, well maybe it's NOT a prob for Scott, but I honestly think, in my opinion, that the GD in that song RUINED on hell of an AWESOME song. I know also in Creed's new song, Overcome, he says: "I'll be damned fighting you". But at least What's This Life For is the only song he used GD in. And, he could've used other words to "get his point across" other than GD. Yes, I know we are entitled to freedom of speech, and I can be melodramatic all I want! FREE SPEECH, right?

  • love this song

  • Scott Stapp is a Christian, Creed is not a Christian band. Scott writes the lyrics. This song is about Jesus. Who cares. To be fair you could take anything you want to mean anything.

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song isnt song isnt about jesus crhist the king

  • the best song ever.

  • Religious is not the same as christian.

The symbolism used by creed is not catholic, it is pagan.

Most catholic symbolism IS pagan, Christianity is a desert religion who came to the western world and was implemented to the pagan religion of our antsesters.

In that way Creed is more than a christian band, they now where it all is really about ... When you want to go to the real meaning of any religion, loose all the bulshit around it ...

  • what for? just to praise the onlyone KING: JESUS.. stay blessed..

  • seems like one last breath rofl. like it

  • Creed christian?? Listen en watch Bullets and you know what Creed really is about.

I do not believe that there are much desert religions involved here ...

  • @blabberius Scott Phillips, on the secret to Creed’s appeal.

“I think a lot of kids identify with Scott [Stapp]’s lyrics, especially kids who live in the Bible Belt. They can relate to it because it’s stuff that has happened to them, or is still happening.” (NY Rock, May 1999) Brian Marshall, on assumptions that Creed is a religious band.

  • @blabberius Brian Marshall, on assumptions that Creed is a religious band.

“Scott writes the lyrics and he had a very religious upbringing, but it doesn’t mean we’re religious. He uses it as a metaphor. That’s different. He uses the symbolism, but that doesn’t mean we’re Christian rock.” (NY Rock, May 1999)

  • @blabberius Scott Stapp, on his own faith.

“[W]hen someone asks me if I’m a Christian, I have to say yes, because I am. But do you know I was never asked in 10 years if I was a Christian personally? We were only asked if Creed was a Christian band.” (Christian Music Today, August 9, 2004)

  • @blabberius they said they use the symbolism so wheather they realise it or not what that makes them is a CONTEMPORARY christian rockband they dont out right say praise god or jesus but they use the symbolism plus scott admits he IS a christian

  • Creed christian?? Listen en watch Bullets and you know what Creed really is about.

I do not believe that there are much desert religions involved here ...
